Trump To Impose 35% Tax on Companies

Trump has now threatened companies that outsource jobs by bringing up a 35% tariff/tax. Is this a good thing?

Yes.

it's awesome

watch cuckservatives, liberals and leftists complain about it

It's a great thing. Now those fucking companies that go over seas will think twice before leaving American soil. This is truly MAGA in action.

Prices will go up, but lots of jobs will stay here. It will also make start up companies in America more successful, as they will be able to compete with massive brands.

I hope it "fucks" over our economy like it does for Japan.

Sarah Palin already bitched about it

foxnews.com/politics/2016/12/03/early-trump-supporter-palin-suggests-carrier-deal-is-crony-capitalism.html

God forbid we have a nationalist who puts our country ahead of the almighty dollar. Bunch of fucking randian cultists would be okay selling their mother to a Muslim sultan if it meant turning a profit

Horrible

>threatened companies
>good thing

Pick one.

He may get that some american companies remain there but any foreig company will want to go there.

He is like a child trying to solve problems.

No

Its bad for the economy tbqh, he shouldn't be punishing businesses he should be making america OVERALL a better place for businesses by lowering the corporate tax rate and regulations all around

Punishing people might not work on a larger scale senpai, I see what hes trying to do with tariffs to promote manufacturing in the US but idk

I hope it does work tho, and I hope I'm wrong xd

I've known this over a year already, get the fuck out.

they will just go overseas completely and pay 0% income tax to America.

She's bitching about everything because she wanted a spot in his cabinet and he told her no. Newt was salty for a while, too. All these neo-cohens jumping onto the bandwagon at the last second get nothing and they are pissed.

I used to work for a consulting firm that outsourced its busywork to India.

Wouldn't this tax hurt current American employees of these companies by reducing the amount of money the company can provide for raises/bonuses?

no. it just means shits going to be more expensive for you now, because companies have to pay american wages to make shit.

Yes it is teaching conservatives that have only known capitalism all their lives to understand some economically left language.

>Pick one
good thing

short term shit will be fucked and people are gonna go apeshit
long term its the best thing you could wish for

I hope Australia can follow with the same stuff.

Even though we have basically lost most of our industries and we don't have high tech industry yet like we fuckin should.

>Is this a good thing?

no. that's actually a pretty retarded idea.

that's the tax they're already supposed to be paying. to make foreigners pay it is better for us

It depends on the product category bound tariff limits under the WTO. The reason this matters is if 35% breaches that, there will be legally acceptable retaliation which would harm US exports.

Frankly, the US isn't heavily reliant on tariffs - a big reason for our low tariffs is it forces other countries to comply while we use non-tariff barriers to fuck with them. Why bother putting tariffs on foreign goods when it promotes trade competition and you can write an arcane law that specifies that Bangladeshi goods need to undergo a 36-step verification process in Arkansas to be completed between 11:59 and 12:00 every new moon?

There are more precise tools available to achieve Trump's same goal than tariffs, which are a blunt instrument. I would rather see that goal achieved in a more efficient manner.

yes.

companies that outsource are traitors to america. the 35% tariff doesn't go far enough. american companies that fail to return jobs to america should be nationalized, repatriated, and then sold to american investors who will be obligated to keep american jobs in america.

fuck globalists.

I remember when the left wanted the same thing because of MUH GLOBALIZATION and MUH CHINA.

It's funny how quickly you can change their minds by agreeing with them.

What and lose out on the American market? China already has every company they do business with bend over backwards for them, about time we started doing the same.

>m-muh nationalism

You are pathetic

weird how everyone is suddenly against taxes when it doesnt affect americans

Narrative is already in: "State Interference in the Free market".

Implying globalisation wasn't state supported to begin with.

it's a good thing you economically illiterate retard.

USA is going to have a business tax of 15%. There was an article in the paper here yesterday about how australian businesses are going to start running away to the USA cause our business tax is 30%. Leftists and socialists and bitch and moan all they want but they cant stop capital moving.

It's good for americans and good for the market.

It's only bad if you are trying to manipulate the market and impose high taxes on businesses to fund your bullshit "government"

cuckservatives detected

Yes It looks like our Indian team is going away. So long and thanks for all the bugs.

no, since it is the american market that these companies need you shit for brains.

There's no reason he can't do both. Carrot and the stick. If you stay and keep the jobs here then you get tax cuts and favorable treatment. If you want to outsource it to pajeet and ching-chang-han and click-clack-matumba-mooja then you're not going to be shown as kindly a treatment as a company keeping their jobs and taxes domestic.

I don't give a shit if we give a company that has lots of jobs here a bunch of tax cuts. I do give a shit if we give companies that ship their jobs overseas and dodge taxes already even more tax cuts which is what the Ayn-Randianites like Paul Ryan want. Seriously what cocksucker like Ryan and Palin can get off supporting the idea of tax cuts for corporations that ship jobs overseas and already dodge their taxes left and right? You're going to REWARD them for being utterly selfish and downright hostile to the united states?

For what reason? Oh, right, because they fund your reelection efforts and give you a cushy job when/if you leave politics.

>Close off cheap labour through tighter immigration controls
>Penalize Companies for leaving for cheaper labour by implementing a tax on those goods.

Looks like trump will make it harder for the super rich to get even more super rich by forcing companies to hire the people who buy your goods. Goes to show when the left screech about income inequality it's just for show.

>cuckservatives
what the fuck does that even mean at this point?

all these posters with non american flags ass mad about us making our own shit. how does it feel that we dont fucking need you?

>threaten with hire taxes to encourage american employment
>hire under educated in-land immigrants that work more and for less
>dodge tax and maximize profits
>no increase in americans being employed outside of the already dwindling, elitist and selective managerial sector

go ahead, make all iPhones be manufactured in America.

enjoy paying $2000 for your shitty iPhone instead of $600

Yes both for usa, companies and other countries.

When you put your company at another country you will now have to care about their bullshit laws and culture, you will also have to care about their economy too. So those stuff are extra layers ot thing to care and bad for the company.

Now that the company have to care about other country, they will try to lobby and etc.. those other countries to make to make sure they fix their problems, they will try to fix it with an outsider point of view and fuck with the country the compani is "invading" and this is bad for the country itself.

AND with the country companies and etc... being outside the country its own land and etc... this create an situation where the country become dependent on other countries and what happens there.

that you pretend to be conservative but you don't want to conserve anything, you like seeing foreigners fuck your economy (free trade) and your country (immigration)

In which case they'll have cut off a third of their potential market and smaller domestic companies will rise up to fill the vacuum.

Only if they desert the USA in a 'traitors!' way. It might keep USA citizen's data in the USA as well, rather than China or India or some other foreign country.

I ain't the globalist faggot wanting my country and my people and me to fall on our sword so that Asia can have a middle class. Keep on sucking that Indo-Chinese cock, nigger. This the only free (you) you'll get.

>he should be making america OVERALL a better place for businesses by lowering the corporate tax rate and regulations all around

That is exactly what he is doing you fucking dolt. Have you not listened to any of his rallies or read any of his statements on the subject?

back to your cuck shed hanz

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH

>muh iphoine 7

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Hilldawg support here

Trump might not be so bad after all...

what US exports? we have an enormous trade defecit. any retaliation will just hurt them more than us. we have no exports.

Here's a thought: lower the minimum wage

>against free-trade
>voted for hillary open markets open borders clinton

and libertarians

>buying an overpriced piece of shit iphone that omits features to force you to buy their wireless headphones

Last I checked it was the Chinks who were buying up the iphone in droves. Oh no, Apple will lose some of their sky high profit margins and stop putting in the trickle of taxes they already move heaven and earth to avoid paying to begin with. Whatever will we do.

what in the fuck? you are absolutely retarded now

just more leftist doublespeak.

the sooner we ignore them entirely, the sooner we can make our nations great again.

>how does it feel that we dont fucking need you?

you americans have gotten a real fucking attitude ever since trump got elected. how about doing shit first before you burn all bridges

But i support Trumps plan?

FREE MARKET
CLOSED MARKET
CLOSED BORDERS

BEST POLICY

>paying any amount of money for an apple product

reddit seriously needs to get the fuck out of here

I vote for hilldawg because I didn't actually think trump was gonna do anything he said and republicans are shitty for the most part

Holy fuck, you people are retarded. When he offered incentive to that company last week, he was "going too easy and wasting money" now he is "literally Hitler for telling companies not to sell our jobs"

FUCK OFF

Just now?

He's been saying that for months. How have people missed this stuff when he's been on repeat for months on end with most of this?

look on the bottom of your plates, mugs and tech
at least half, if not most will have some sort of 'made buy [insert asian country]' on it

>supporting free trade
>in a country with $10 minimum wage

Literally begging for nojobs

Adding to this for you trade retards:

If Trump wants to go fucking nuclear on this, don't add a tariff. Create a law stating "any good produced abroad that was formerly produced in the U.S. (determined by a fall in domestic production deemed a result of offshoring) within X years or had a like product produced in the U.S. within Y years is subject to screening by [relevant organization] to determine the product similarity in order to secure consumer safety and industrial integrity of the United States.

Now no product produced abroad that is the same/similar to a product that ceased production in the US can be sold in the US without individual screening and approval by the US. That's a long, slow, costly process. Why even outsource if you have to deal with that? You would just produce domestically to not have to deal with the law at all. This is what the US (sort of) does with meat, though that's a more complex issue.

You leave time-expiry on it so that you can grandfather in some aspects and don't start a retroactive war.

I'm not mad. I'm happy for you. I think everyone needs protectionism from time to time

>is this a good thing?

as long as the incentives to stay make it worth while. Tariffs without incentives will just make companies sell more to other buyers. Incentives such as low tax, low regulations, and write-offs will make companies happy to stay.

Also beware of the Sup Forums "businessman" saying tariffs are always a bad thing. He just parrots some libcuck textbook opinion that doesn't work in reality.

not nationalist libertarians

don't you have a rogue province to subdue, pedro?

Yes. Either support America or get the fuck out.

It baffles me that the left will find a way to complain about this, given that they should be the workers party, and should fight for the average Joe and Jane
Goes to show how far off they've fallen, that they would sell out every Joe and Jane to pat themselves in the back for being so accepting

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

DAMAGE CONTROL AHHAHAHAHAHAHA

>MUH ASIANS HAVE THE MAGIC WAND TO MANUFACTURE TECHNOLOGY

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So you voted for ISIS? Congrats fucking retard glad to see that conservatives finally outweighing you spineless rats.

>Its bad for the economy tbqh, he shouldn't be punishing businesses he should be making america OVERALL a better place for businesses by lowering the corporate tax rate and regulations all around

That was exactly part of his plan. He wants to lower the tax rates here, and reduce regulations immensely, while increasing taxes for leaving.

>Trump makes the factories GO to the USA

how does this fix the problem of companies importing cheap indian monkeys to do the work?

hehehe successfully triggered all you idiots once again by mentioning Apple a lib company in your precious tax discussion. ima go derail shitpost another thread talking about how blacks are superior. this board is worst than Sup Forums and much easier/more fun to troll lol

REMINDER THAT MOST REPUBLICANS NOW SEE FREE TRADE AS NEGATIVE

This These neocon/lib fucks keep giving corporations tax breaks and zero interest loans so they stay here, with zero consequences, and so the corps leave after they get their free money. This is just the stick to his carrot of making America a tax haven.

>how does it feel that we dont fucking need you?
see

You are an idiot.

>census.gov/foreign-trade/data/index.html
>September 2016 exports were $189.2 billion, while imports were $225.6 billion

What do you define as outsourcing

I work in accounting for an american fortune 500 company. They also do shit in europe.

Surely thats not outsourcing?

This desu.

Fuck the prices of items they are luxuries and should be expesnive so rich western countries can have jobs.

Asian countries need to stop leeching.

didnt they say that they wanna limit h1b1 visas?

>saying this like buying a shitty iphone for 600 is acceptable in the first place

maybe apple might actually have to innovate something that isn't functionally useless despite looking nice on an advertisement

Do the new 'S' models use the pressure-sensitive touchscreen in ANY meaningful way?

Not an argument

Why are you spamming the exact same thread?

I'll give you the same answer; This sounds like a good plan. This country needs to start looking locally when it comes to consuming goods. This is how we jump-start the economy. Tariffs are not the only answer, though. We also have to create incentives in the United States to promote job growth. Small businesses that people shop at to exchange money.

I'm not the biggest fan of government regulation in our economy. It cultures larger corporate growth. Because the bigger fish have enough money to be flexible with legislation.

All minimum-wage and green legislation has done is outsource goods to other countries that do not practice those policies and Americans have been benefiting from polluting and slave labor of other countries.

It is ethical for Americans to buy goods from our own country. Not only is it empowering to our people, but it is less exploitative to the lower-class people from other countries.

As another user said it reduces our dependence on other countries which is a big problem because it seems like other countries are figuring out that we are not as strong as we are projecting and are using our corrupt leadership to benefit them. This comes in the form of using our military-industrial complex to fight for other countries, or using the labor of other countries.

it has pressure sensetive hentai where the harder you rub it the louder the anime girl moans

>Its bad for the economy tbqh, he shouldn't be punishing businesses he should be making america OVERALL a better place for businesses by lowering the corporate tax rate and regulations all around

Why not make that an incentive to stay?

Spotted the cultural jew.

that doesnt provide an argument
and most of the time, they might as well should since most of the shit i have has some sort of made in china/taiwan stamp or sticker on it

Trump wants to at a minimum enforce the limits on h1b visas. Currently a lot of pajeets stay longer than they're supposed to and evade income taxes while there here.

If he specifically tagerts companies who base themselves in the US but outsource jobs (it seems like that's what he's saying) then it's a great idea. I'm all for free markets/enterprise, but guess what? The people are part of that market and the people have elected Donald Trump. Its all kosher as far as I'm concerned.

However, if he does a 35% tariff across the board it will hurt. I trust Donald however to make good trade deals. I like buying made in USA online and not having to pay import/customs. I'm sure Americans also like to buy Canadian stuff without paying duties.

Tl;Dr Get fucked globalists.

Trump plans to cut US business tax rates from the current ~40% down to 15%.

Any potential increase in manufacturing or labor costs a company might 'suffer' from as a result of keeping jobs in the US will be offset by the tax breaks.

If anything, it will probably encourage companies based in the European and Asian markets to move some of their operations to the US, bringing even more jobs.

American companies are people, and American people pay taxes whether they are in the US or not.

Oh well, fuck, I'm sold

>Apple pays some chink overlords to make their chink slaves build iphones for 50 bucks total.
>Sell the piece of shit for 12 times the price and normies gobble it up like the fucking retards they are.
Good goyim

Sounds like it's gonna suck for every country except one. It's gonna make one specific country great again

NOW IT'S GOING TO HAVE A "AMERICA FUCK YEAH" STAMP

>enjoy paying $2000 for your shitty iPhone instead of $600

Iphones are already overpriced, if you cared about it you woudnt buy them.

Apple get average phones and ask the price that an ultra awesome phone should have.
Their plans only work because the stupid companies that make "ultra awesome phones" see the apple price and think "if apple can ask x for their phones I can ask more than it for mine since my phone is waayyyyy better than iphones"

>finally outweighing you spineless rats.

wtf ?

Why is it that liberals would fight tooth and nail to pay burger flippers $15 an hour while saying that there would be minimum price impact and then say that US manufacturing would make a company with the fattest margins in the world to jack up prices several fold?

Like seriously, what the fuck? Is there some hidden reasoning that they're not communicating to me?

dumb
