The Yemeni government is allied to the Saudis, it´s the Houthi rebels that are fighting against the government. Houthis won´t care since it´s just a random island that doesn´t belong to their faith and is too far away to actually take over. The government will be too weak and paralyzed to act. The Saudis might though, so that is why it´s important to make them get the recognition of other world powers before they can mount an invasion.
