What I hate are low-quality, uneducated people who conform to backwards culture and are completely unwilling to integrate.
We are a multi-ethnic country. Most people are law-abiding and hard-working, but Muslims are by far the worst of our lot. Thankfully our revered founder Lee Kuan Yew knew this, and put them on a tight leash with Patriot Act-like legislation.

no problem with immigrants from other 1st world/developed countries since you know they will respect the hosts countries culture, and since they come from a culture of success (after all they moved from another rich country) they won't affect the host countries culture negatively
this is not true however of those immigrants from mid poor to dirt poor countries(2nd/3rd world), they bring the same cultural values that make their country poor to begin with, and in the long run will make our countries poor too, a lot of genetics comes into play since genetics determine the behaviour and thus the culture of people you have in your country, its like importing a toxic sludge that slowly pollutes and destroys the beautiful lake
I would rather see these immigrants build up their country to first world status to prove they actually are worthy of entering our western countries
