The Free Market doesn't work with monopolies like transport and services like TV/Internet/Water.
There's often one provider and no matter how shitty the service gets, there's no feasible way for a consumer to deal with it. And the optimal course of action is for said shitty provider to just make things worse.

Where I live has three providers. Until you look into it and you realize all three are subcontractors for Time Warner cable with the exact same speeds, prices, and a time warner cable guy comes to install it.

The ironic thing is net neutrality and associated regulation maintaining it wouldn't be necessary under an actual free market, and such regulation WOULD stifle innovation and job creation in such a setting.
But since we're a nation of fucking idiots that allows regional, non competitive in any way, shape, or form, monopolies to dominate and charge whatever they want without ever lifting a finger to improve infrastructure and just living off the winnings of crony capitalism, we NEED net neutrality.

Most people use it for porn and to stream movies, which when a company like netflix gets a shitty third party provider they decide to cry to the government instead of work out a deal with the companies who have to deal with them streaming a fuckton of shit.
