Jews were widespread but not much was known about their culture or religion (partly because they wanted to keep it personal) so they were an easy target to raise fear and hatred towards.
Movies, books, and other pieces of history from the 1930's show how the anti-Jewish sentiment was rising in general at the time not just in germany but in the U.S and Europe as well. It was kind of like how we treat Muslims now, not EVERYBODY is racist towards Muslims but most people have a prejudice now thanks to the media. Hitler didn't start the anti-Jewish sentiment, he capitalized on it. People either felt justified because of the Jewish boycotts and protests or they were honestly fearful of violence and corruption and in their fearful decision-making associated purifying the white race from Jews with being pure themselves. It's a hard sell but people were so desperate and disconnected from reality that it worked.
The other less sane side to the whole thing is about how Hitler was obsessed with ancient Norse texts that implied Jews will undo the Norsemen or something. There was also other important stuff like getting the Lance of Destiny, so you've got to understand Hitler was trying to WIN with whatever it takes, even going to ancient mythology to gain power, so it wasn't so much that he came to the decision to hate Jews himself, but he felt that Jews were objectively the problem based on (retarded) research.

At the end of WWI both sides bled eachother dry with enormous offences. Both sides being aware that the other side was about to run out of manpower, ammunition, supplies etc..
Some Germans believed that one final big push, putting all reserves in action,, would make the allies logistics as well as their will to fight collapse and lead to a truce.
Before this final offense (in which the German navy was also supposed to go head-on with the dreaded English navy) ever came of the ground massive strikes broke out in Germany. Pretty soon the Army and Navy reserves were caught up in the rebellion and the whole German military collapsed leaving no option but to sue for unconditional surrender.
These strikes were Socialist in nature and the main intelligentsia behind was almost without exception Jewish.
Although anti-semitism, particularilly in Austria, has a very long history, it were these events that convinced Hitler that exterminating the Jews (and the bolsheviks) was as important as killing enemy troops.

Jews tried a communist revolution in Germany after ww1 and failed, jews were humiliating everything German, they promoted decadence and liberal values.
