Is "oncoming Afrin operation" a decoy? >one of PKK leaders said #Russia gave a green light to #Turkey to attack #YPG.

Also pretty sure they purged a lot of officers and generals after that recent """coup attempt""".

Also, the US is likely to pull something soon now that they've gotten NATO, or at least the relevant members of NATO, to agree to hit Assad
The only change up that would stop/change their plans is a Turkish move against the Kurds which would distract and derail Stronger words or a show of force by Russia won't likely do much given that the US sees a "lack" of Russian response to the uptick in US hostilities to be a sign of weakeness.
Thomas Gonzalez
What are these white people protesting about?
Austin Collins
Now it seems, SAA will be pushing onto Shubayt from the north, at least recent liberated villages indicate it.

>“I expect that this time, the United States will take into account the need to actually ensure the non-proliferation of chemical weapons and will refrain from speculating on some intelligence data, which that is secret so no one may see it, in order to provoke others and create pretexts for new attacks on the Syrian government troops fighting against terrorists,” the Russian top diplomat stressed. >“I expect that our US and European counterparts active in the region will adopt the same open and clear approach aimed at de-escalating the situation, particularly normalizing the humanitarian situation, by abandoning attempts to seize control over some parts of Syria and put the country’s territorial integrity at risk,” Lavrov pointed out. >“Our reaction will be dignified and proportionate to the situation that may take shape,” he said.
The wording of his statements makes me think the Russians do actually think the US is gonna pull something as well.
Probably, since a lot of countries are now using Turkey to ship things to Qatar that previously went through the Gulf countries Next week should be interesting with this and Turkey potentially making their move against the Kurds
Gavin Martinez
Just like US preventing the non-existant chemical strike with it's warning about it and explaining that their statement prevented it. Praise Lord there are some true 4D chess masters like Lavrov, so it's not all a big maemae.

>US sees a "lack" of Russian response to the uptick in US hostilities to be a sign of weakeness. That's so backwards though. having your military under control and sticking to your strategy which was successfull so far is a sign of strength

>On a more serious note, I wonder if Russians told them to dissolve the military & city counsils, would they agree to it? Maybe,I don't know Maybe they can use the afrin-'lebbo-manbij road connection as leverage to pressure them in some shitty deal? Non-sober speculations, of course

god, he is such a dork. If he weren't fighting in a civil war I'd make fun of him. Seems martial Gadaffi and Saddam weren't so tough after all. Nerdy power prevails under real pressure. (Though Saddam knew US policy better than any member of Bush administration)

Jayden Fisher
Come on Lahey, you can do better than this! The thing with Afrin/Leppo/Manbij road is it's mostly Syria deciding who can use it, and by Syria I mean Russia, so maybe Afrin could be decoy, but now if they wanted to strike Manbitch, there's both SAA and US SOFs, so it'd be quite hard to pull off. Also map is very strategic.
Eli Garcia
>be wahhabi >try to kill people >fail >kill yourself to do so >STILL FAIL
That's actually plausible, assuming there's some quiet dealings between russia/syria/turkey. What does turkey care more about, the prevention of a kurdistan or the risk of damaged US relations by attacking coalition allies?
>assuming there's some quiet dealings between russia/syria/turkey It's a fair thing to assume, since they're all Astana guarantors.
I think the deal with S400 and Incirclik indicate that Turkey is much more commited to it's internal security than diplomatical outrage their actions could've potenatially caused.

This has been surprising desu. Historically the modern (Ataturk onwards) Turkish Army has been mighty, defeating the Allies and Greece and Cyprus decisively and bullying Syria for decades. They were IDF-tier. I think its more a result of the top brass being fed up with Erdogan, and low morale among the soldiers Have they really bombed SAA FOUR times in 6 days? Is Assad EVER going to dare retaliate?

I think TuAF could solve this, after all they've killed 8 YPG/PKK yesterday with an air sortie, so maybe a bit more pressure comming from air superiority and they'd be willing to reconciliate without huge escalation.

Tbqh I wouldn't be mad to see Maduro go. Not entirely his fault that the country went to shit, but at one point in history Venezuela had the world's fifth highest GPP and now the people there have to search for food on the black market. It's really hard to sympathize with this type of leader.

look up their history, they crushed the Armenians, Greeks, Cypriots and drove the Allies out of Turkey, they never lost a single war since Ataturk.

Crooked Ivanka Trump hurried up some gator tears Told the President these lies Finished up the frame job, said the evil gassing Was the work of Bashar guys
Keep on fightin’ Assad You need to show you’re strong Keep on fightin’ Assad Prove those Zionists wrong
With fewer charades than used against ol’Saddam before They said he gassed some prisoners too Amnesty International backed up by an “user source” Said the proof had gone out the flue
