How come you always keep claiming that there's true democracy in USA and dictatorship in Russia, but all your "elected" representatives, starting with city councils and mayors and ending with house and senate, are all anti-american and don't give even slightest fuck about what majority of people want?
I was reading some piece on statues issue, and some city council guy was like "Yes, polls show majority of citizens want to keep statues, but its wrong and thus we will destroy statues" and he doesn't feel any pressure from it. This is so crazy and unrealistic for me, we had statues/memorials issue recently in Russia, where city government tried to install memorial plate for some traitors and there was huge uproar, plate was crushed into pieces by vigilantes, government got sued and like two months later agreed to cancel their decision. No plates for traitors now.
Why you keep reelecting these guys? Why you don't sue them?

There are something like 3,700 counties in the US. A very low estimate of the number of mayors in the US would be 37,000 it's probably much higher since most counties have more than 10 cities/municipalites. Most of them are normal people and seldom get attention. If they exercise their right to vote at all, many vote for the guy who is currently in office based on some naive assumption that he must be doing something right to get there in the first place.
