Dad was going to the VA for years and they treated him like a guinea pig. Went to local hospital last year for an emergency and wound up spending three days there and the co-pay was $2,000+, all but finally paid off now. He said it was worth it since they actually took care of him. The look on his face when I told him the VA bill passed and he could keep going to that hospital and not pay out of pocket anymore...
