We're talking about a street fight with no rules, retard. Not some martial art tournament where obviously you're not suppose to grab the opponent or whatever.

Martial arts
No grabbing

What?

insecurity the post

Juan Lopez
Juan Lopez

If it were a one on one, most matrial arts and boxing rely on distance management, so in your are in a street fight and its a one on one, the older who doesn't know shit will always lose to a younger guy with more skill. You can't grab someone you can't touch.

Brayden Nelson
Brayden Nelson

I've been training in at least 5 hand to hand martial art schools for the last 20 years. Don't get discouraged by the college-aged (You)s. These nerds have never been in a bar fight in their lives.

Tyler Richardson
Tyler Richardson

Martials arts and boxing become more effective in the streets for that sole reason. If there are no rules they can legitimately fuck you up. Do oyu know why boxers wear gloves? Its to softed the blow to the point where it's not a one hit killblow.

Connor Bennett
Connor Bennett

I thought the gloves allowed them to punch harder since they don't have to worry about breaking their hands anymore.

Evan Jenkins
Evan Jenkins

Nope, trained fightes can break through wood and cement blocks with thier bare hands. A jaw isn't that hard to dislocate compared to that.

Xavier Cook
Xavier Cook

Muay Thai is a lethal though, people have legitimately died from people who used Muay Thai in streetfights.

Alexander Rodriguez
Alexander Rodriguez

In some states, boxers have to register their fists as weapons. You do not want to get punched by a bare fist of a boxer.

Asher Scott
Asher Scott

We're talking boxers, who don't train by hardening their knuckles or breaking stuff like karateka do.

Brandon Gomez
Brandon Gomez

My bad, alright think of it this way.

An average skilled boxer can punch 800-1000 psi. This is with gloves on, imagine if those hit you with bare fists.

Christopher Green
Christopher Green

That is correct, although they soften the blow slightly gloves overall allow the boxer to deliver more punches without damaging their hands. Over the course of a match more concussive damage is dealt to competitors than in bare-knuckle.

Kevin Perez
Kevin Perez

Jesus you faggots gotta be delusional, there's no fucking way someone that has practiced any martial arts ever would even dare consider this manga remotely close to realistic in the fighting. Just because the techniques used are real doesn't mean they're being applied realistically.

Dylan Long
Dylan Long

This is how a real street fight goes more like. Without all the monologues, carefully planned strategies, planned techniques, shit just goes man.

Andrew Gray
Andrew Gray

The simple fact is that in a face to face fight, the bigger person usually wins because size, strength, reach and leverage are dominating factors and usually there isn't a significant enough difference in skill or training to offset these advantages. That being said, training in almost any combat sport or martial arts can sometimes offset these differences because of strength training, muscle training to move effectively and efficiently, and technique.

However taking an even further step back, most fights will begin and end with a sucker punch or getting knocked down and getting the shit kicked out of you.

Jordan Evans
Jordan Evans

epic fucking post dude, you just revealed how cancerous you are

Sup Forums is going dh

Owen Lewis
Owen Lewis

Retard. Gloves make you feel the hit even more. They just dont cut as bad. Gloves are used to protect hands, not faces. Thats why glove death has risen exponentially since boxing gloves became standard.

Brandon Morgan
Brandon Morgan

And that's it, fight's over.

Oliver Perez

As is turns out random japanese "thugs" who smoke a pack a day and have almost never been in a real fight (always gang up or bullying) are terrible at fighting.

Carson Reyes
Carson Reyes

I used to practice boxing because I was a stupid kid that got into stupid fights, and while having actual training is an advantage, the guy who won a fight the vast majority of the time in my experience was the guy who gave less of a fuck.

When I got my ass-kicked it was never by the guy who did Taekwondo and bragged about his belts, it was by the dude who smashed my face in quick and kicked me until I couldn't feel my legs. I'm sure things work out different when there're two dudes out of to kill each other, but all my life I've been afraid of the guy who seemed ready to stab a dude.

Bentley Gray
Bentley Gray

What is, OP? Is it really that good? What's it about?

Luis Torres

I'm just afraid of black people because if you beat them in a fight they come back in a horde and shank or shoot you. Dishonorable fags.

Sure it's unrealistic.

Angel Perez

Do you think Holyland and other martial arts series such as All Rounder Meguru and Teppu have a chance at getting animated?

I'd imagine it'd be difficult animating them since the sheer amount of movement required to portray the actions, also during the fights there's internal monologue going on slowly as the fight progresses detailing techniques, openings etc. In which an anime adaption will have trouble showing whereas in manga it's easier to digest.

I believe studios that are specialised in fight choreography such as Bones or Madhouse could potentially pull it off.

Matthew Anderson
Matthew Anderson

but there was that dude with a knife and he got fucked up in the hangar remember?

Charles Perry
Charles Perry

Obviously it was an American knife.
