I hope it's not the same Gintama lite thing with super heavy drama that SKET Dance was. I liked it but holy hell was it hard to smile when you know some of things about the characters.

Why a lot Jump authors make a space series after its big sucess ?

I liked Sket Dance. One of the few genuinely funny gag manga from WSJ and the drama episodes as noted by made me care about certain characters a lot

Might read but I'm not a big fan of space adventures

why do you assume that? many titles from shonen jump+ get translated

SKET Dance was one of my favorites. I still haven't had the stomach to finish it.

Just finish it, the final chapter is fairly light and while I thought it was underwhelming when it first came out, it really does end the series in a natural way

I'm sure most people who reply will have actually liked sket dance and I'm among them. Characters were really fun and likeable. Some of the hard-hitting character developments felt almost out of left field, but on their own they seemed to work alright, and overall the episodic stuff was enjoyable if not always memorable.

New thing? Maybe I'll read it. I'm not even sure what to expect though.

She looks like Capcom's Saki, who debuted in Quiz Nanairo Dreams and appeared as an assist in MvC and character in TvC.

Oh shit, about time. I loved Sket Dance, criminally underrated.

Tons of Jump authors seem to talk about sci-fi or space series, but it seems no series actually focused on those elements end up successful on (weekly) Jump. This is something else though, right? So maybe it'll work.

Space Adventure Cobra.
Well, maybe that's a bit too old to be relevant.

I love Sket Dance, and I've been waiting for him to do something new ever since it ended.

The new guy literally looks like Bossun with different hair though.

I finished it last week. I'm glad he included that stupid ass pun in the ending, because I always thought that was what he was going for with the title.
