Purple best girl
Anime only you watched
Mondo & Rokuna.
I forgot the title though.
Tears to Tiara
Flint the Time Detective
How did this even end?
Back when anime companies just dubbed whatever.
AoKana. Or at least one of the few on Sup Forums.
Fak U, Guuko is mine!
Collecting all the seals released the dragon and destroyed the world.
hey should i continue wasting my time watching the rest of this?
More or less.
I haven't seen it in like ten years. I remember liking it, but I didn't think it was anything groundbreaking and I barely remember it. There was one arc where the hero got turned into a chick that I remember being kinda funny.
That said, I was super into my high-school weeb phase at the time and would have happily devoured shit as long as it came from a Japanese asshole.
Quite a few people watched it according to MAL, but no one talks about it although I found it to be quite clever, tasteful and subtle for a romance anime. One of the few heterosexual romance in anime/manga I like, as it doesn't delves into cliches contrarily to most of japan's mass culture.
The OP was dope
She has always been best girl. First megane crush.
Came to post this, also Shinzo.
I watched YAT senpai
Holy shit, this.
Kurokami was dope.
I loved that shit
The manga was so much better but never had time to finish it. Maybe I'll give it another try
I found the Fox Kids version in an old discount store a couple years back. It was surreal.
That was my first not-on-TV anime I watched at a friend's house. Always thought the idea was kinda neat.
I didn't know this had an anime.
Fuck, I remember that. Watched the latino dub. Opening was nice.
It was fun.
Let me guess, there are Filipinos in this thread. I mean, these two pretty much aired on one local TV station back in the day.
The series, movie is cut down by 40 min and lacks a lot.
the unsung hero of shounen, hunter x hunter it's like naruto but better
Watch this anime can save your life because teach what you must do in cases of emergency.
I remember watching this and enjoyed it. I need to rewatch again these days since I barely remember anything about it and why I enjoyed it.
Speaking of dope as fuck openings.
Maze had an incredible soundtrack
tfw no Naviko
I remember this show because I was a fat little shit who watched the entire saturday morning block to the end.
bitch this shit was malaysian saturday morning cartoons
I was certainly more tolerant to shitty shows back in the days
Corrector yui gave me boners, that
mature teenage body
Anyone knows this anime where the MC used a sword with interchangeable power spheres?
it was set on an RPG-like Fantasy world.
I know I'm the only one that watched this.
I'll never have such a comfy atmosphere again.
It's aired in Indonesia too.
It was trash. But vampire best girl.
This thread is like SEA & Spic Powerlevel thead.
Second cour is worthless aside from the 2-3 last episodes.
I stopped watching when she got big, the opening was catchy
I've never seen this mentioned anywhere and i can't even remember how i found it. It's some weird shit.
I remember seeing an episode of an anime called Gad Guard a few years back. All I remember was that it looked like it was for kids, it had a lady with bib boobs and some sort of mecha things.
Yeahh there was edgy guy too. I remember not liking the MC very much though. Still watched it till the end.
holy shit thanks op, i was looking for this anime for so long you can't even imagine!!
Fucking subs when?
I actually own the boxset.
I watched it and was reading the manga then forgot about it while waiting for updates. Has it ended yet?
Watched this way back in 2000
I was waiting for this one. I own the full series. Loved the anime, sucks that no one knew about it.
anime only you watched
You're retarded if you think you're the only one who has seen that. It's CLAMP, after all.
Idiot. Everyone's seen that.
Fucking idiot. Tons of people have seen that.
All Purpose Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
ED was pretty sweet.
Wasn't the manga suppose to be returning? Those who hunt elves is always in the 90's threads and I remember some news about it.
Really fun show.
I'm sure other people have seen this, but I like boat shows where the boats actually matter.
i forgot this existed
I hate that anime. Not because of the anime itself, it was fine, but because we got that instead of an actual Monster Collection anime. The manga is just fantastic, go read it if you haven't done it.
That show has an awesome OP and ED.
Especially the ED.
Ranze a cute.
It was alright.
I watched so many shows like that back when I had a shit computer that couldn't handle anything above 480.
I remember Mon Colle Knights. Vaguely. One of the villain girls gave me premature boners. I don't even think I was old enough to pop one yet.
Loli purple best girl.
There was an old show I watched, barely at the dge of my memory, where a couple of dudes and a cat person used mystic card to turn into armored warriors, one dude into an aquatic knight, th other an armored spearman, and the cat person into a lion man.
I remember the plot actually getting hardcore at some point.
Burst Angel was dogshit and I hope no one else watches it.
Same artist who did Code Geass and the 90s Dirty Pair character design.
That is the only show I've ever seen do not only bouncing breasts but bouncing dick and balls.
Boogiepop is well know, its always in recomendations charts
God damn, this takes me back. I was one of my "big three" mahou shoujo for a while
Tought Those Who Hunted Elfs was wellknow
Dropped halfway though, its the only anime that adapted Hidari's style without butchering it. Might give a secound chance someday
Everybody watched Gargantia because Gen Urobochi the layout of the series or the first episode, can't recall now
Old Animax was awesome
Jesus christ those eyebrows are wonderful.
This is the one :
This is on Crunchyroll now.
You won't be the only one for very long!!!
Actually my first waifu back in the day.
People know who she is because of Dragonball but nobody has actually watched this.
There aren't even subs.
people liked Gargantia
I haven't been on Sup Forums regularly in like eight years, I'm glad people enjoyed it.
The manga was translated tho.
Emergency Departure Rescue Kids. Its OP song: https://youtu.be/Y575vEHC1j8
Still haven't found anyone who remembers this shit.
Dracula's voiced by Raoh. Sadly this was cancelled after 8 episodes.
Was this any good? I forgot about it but I played the games.
Jokes on you my country got a dub.
Nope, it was pretty terrible.
It's a C+ not terrible but nothing special.
Worth watching just for Etna.
That chick from season 2 with the catch phrase was a qt.
Also pic related for me, was my first yuri animu
it's the story from the 1st game right?
Apparently spics might know what this is.
"How can I ever repay you"
"Take off your cloths"
This was one of my first anime
I'm only on episode 2 but so far yes. They totally messed with the pacing though. Flonne is the one who finds him not Etna.
I love Nippon Ichi's games, tfw there will never be a La Pucelle anime.
Part of the Tenchi Muyo universe.
Shameless Eva ripoff that's less pretentious and ends up being a more enjoyable experience because of it.
This seems like it would have been popular in it's time. I'm surprised so few people know about it.
I wish there were more anime based off old video games.
These threads always trigger me real bad.
The OP was fine, I guess.
Like you've seen half this shit.
NAH FUCK THAT SHIT MAN D- at best
characters with wacky personalities turned into emo babyshits
forced romance and emplied lolisms (They may be tiny but these fuckers are well over 1000)
more fanservice anime generics running about than actual Disgaea demons
Gordon was made into a joke
none of the iconic tracks were being played.
Blue sky? WTF
no meteor impact
NO PRINGER X
we didn't get the good ending
abject shit, some other comapny needs to handle the anime for nippon ichi games because that was terrible.
if anything we need makai kingdom or phantom brave anime more so
and this anime is?
I have this on VHS somewhere.
Fuck yeah, Mr Stain. Love that shit.
Catchy as fuck OP, too.
I refuse to believe that no one watched this.
I must have missed the parallel worlds part of Eva.
For my obscure anime I have pic related.
How many niggas watching this during the summer holidays while at school?
God I fucking loved that show.
I watched that when it was on Fox Kids.
Along with Flint the Time Detective, Digimon and all the western trash they had like Angela Anaconda, Action Man and Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century.
Flint the time detective was awesome. Somehow I didn't get mad at all the bad guys ending up being good.
I wish this show was more popular, but then the dvds probably wouldn't be as cheap.
And singing along that "cool as fuck" OP? Hell yeah!
MONSTERS RULE MONSTER RULE!
I tracked this down because I saw a gif of these two. All I found was a chinese sub LD rip with 1 seed. Worth it ogle this fine anime pussy.
I heard a lot of people say it was shit but I actually really liked it. It's not as good as the original ova but at least it has a satisfying conclusion. Some of the monster of the week stuff was pretty bad but it has it's own little style.
Just about everything set in that universe is great.
Pretty sure you can fill and entire thread with nothing but shit loosely based on the Journey to the West
May was definitely more of a cult hit. Not a huge success but it's remembered fondly.
Yeah, l enjoyed too. I will give me some time to rewatch again.
Are you kidding? Tons of people have seen this.
The first time I saw these suits was in Daicon III, but that came out seven years prior. There must have been some kind of book that these powered suits came from.
Holy shit was that anime disapointing. I wonder if the people who made it actively hated Disgaea
Most people have seen the original. Not many talk about the t.v. show or any of the other spinoffs like AD Police Files.
It was bad
Aired on Old ass AS Toonami, people saw it.
Literally the only reason to watch it is for Etna fanservice. And even then you're better off just browsing gelbooru.
Nothing in this thread is remotely obscure. Except for maybe the guys who posted Wingman and Nanaka SOS.
It was fun. Chocolat was best girl and sort of won in the manga.
The OVA was better.
I didn't know why i watched
I don't remember that being on Fox. I know it was on Scifi at like 3:30am
What the hell people? These were all popular as shit.
Yeah, the actual Starship Troopers book had the power suits.
Despite being awesome, the movie butchered the shit out of the book.
Poor man's Slayers.
The OVA was lewd as hell and a much better ride than the t.v. show.
Both me thank you very much.
If there's subs, it's not obscure.
This was strangely entertaining, despite suffering from shallow characters, a stupid plot, and schizophrenic tonal shifts.
It helps that Hazumi is a qt.
The power suits in the book look quite a bit different than what you see in Japanese adaptations. There had to have been alternative cover art for Japan or some artist who came up with that design before Daicon and the OVA adopted it.
If Korean is close enough then pic related. Otherwise I dunno, I mostly watch pleb shit.
That is the anime that got me into anime and browsing Japanese websites
Watched it. Oddly, I remember the plot in detail, but can't recall the title for the life of me.
I honestly don't know how I made it through this. If I wasn't looking for something to get my Higurashi fix I would of never stumbled upon this.
Prematurely canceled early Shinbo counts, right?
literally came out last year and only a handful of people probably bothered watching it cause it was shit.
though you could probably list any card game anime that isn't vanguard or yugioh.
Watched the ova and it was pretty good. The drama between the mom and dad was surprisingly well done for such a silly show. The tv series any good?
Although it's understandable that nobody remembers it, since it ended without actually wrapping things up. (Maybe it got canceled? Information is sparse.)
Remember when robot maids were fucking everywhere?
Consider yourself lucky if you didn't experience this travesty.
Remember when robot maids were fucking everywhere?
Got any pics?
But I did watched that, this aired in Brazil.
The dub was kinda funny.
This may be late as fuck but chocola my waifu.
If there's one opening that could describe the early-2000s anime, it'll be this
I fucking loved it
Halko Momoi was everywhere back then, wasn't she? The show's complete trash though.
For some reason, my local Walmart carried DVDs of Mouse about 10 years ago
I feel sorry for those that missed out on the magic that is Mon Colle Knights. It's one of the few anime that do "comedy romance" right.
Even if you don't like the anime, the Japanese opening are AMAZING.
I never watched the final episode, never found it anywhere either, I guess they defeated the masked angel.
That reminded me of the elf girl with massive tits, great faps were had.
Shaking my head
Lesbians where so rare back then
I think the only people who even remember these are people who have watched Animax. Animax also aired a bunch of other obscure anime such as Absolute Boy, Ginban Kaleidoscope, and Magikano.
I vaguely remember this. Someone I used to know would give me recommendations for what I thought was the weirdest shit like Pita Ten and pic related. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up here to be honest, not that I'd ever know
The subs for this one are still incomplete, right?
i like this so muxh
YES! Killua is why I'm bi.
this is the dumbest fucking post on Sup Forums
Anime only you watched
Such an overlooked comedy, even if you haven't seen the fist of the north star is still great.
Season 2 is so fucking shit, like, goddamn how do you fuck it up so much.
Obscure anime making a comeback when?
These were all popular as shit.
indeed years ago
carefully select your recipe
I still wonder how did I stumble upon this.
why was this comment deleted
lurk for 2 years before posting
Literally only me watched it
sadly it's true, it's damn true
That was popular in LA.
Baby's first anime
Likely not the only one that's watched it and while it's not particularly good, it's one of the first anime I ever watched.
I watched it, bought the special edition for it. It came with a CD rom for windows 95.
My first harem
her face when she sees your dick pics
That show is wonderful.
I wouldn't exactly say it's rare though.
My father had some episodes of this and astroboy taped.
I saw that Deltora quest anime
I hear people say that this is one of the worst anime ever. Just going by that art it looks pretty solid. Maybe a bit bland in the character design.
there's only frog subs
That looks like a prequel to Captain Harlock.
Oh shit, Himesama Goyoujin was awesome! Summer 2006, right? Somebody actually licensed it? I remember watching the raws when it came out because nobody was fansubbing it. Ryoko Shintani's character's extreme xenophobia was hilarious and the loli's lack of Japanese a really interesting element (the first time I'd seen something like that done without cheating, and still fairly unusual).
Sweet Jesus, ain't that the truth. I remember watching this on Nick Jr. when I was like 7. I've searched for torrents on occasion over the years but never found anything.
Too soon man. Japanese audiences weren't ready to embrace their military and history again yet. Things are different now (Girls und Panzer, Haifuri, etc.), but that was, what, 2008? 9? I know that manga got finished though, because the creator went on to a new project.
I remember it being about aliens and forest. Also the MC's ringtone.
I remember this ran on Adult Swim back in the day, so I know many oldfags have seen it. Not very good or memorable though, except for the catgirl mechanic being really cute for her time.
Watched this, and /a/nons told me about the ova...
Stellvia was extremely popular on 2chan, and a lot of the memes got adopted on Sup Forums too for a while (pic related), so I'd think a fair number saw it. Never seemed to make any waves over here, but I thought it was quite thoughtfully conceived and well executed.
loli loev burger
I'd be surprised if anyone has seen Shinzo. I distinctly remember hating a huge twist halfway into the show, but I can't remember much else about it.
As a horny bastard, I've watched too many of eroge adaptations in the past.
The fight scene choreography was amazing in this show.
Still have the DVDs, I was willing to watch anything directed by Akitaro Daichi after Kodomo no Omocha and Juubei-chan.
Scryed was awesome.
I watched it because I loved Digi Charat and it was by the same author.
Had some good songs, but all I remember is the MC's tragic backstory is his mother getting run over by A FUCKING BUS. Oh how I laughed.
MAGIKARU MIRAKURU WANDAFURU
Poor man's Sakura Taisen/Saber Marionette. Fun tho.
Watched like one episode in Anime Club. Heard the manga was good.
Remember the Anime-ugly girl who won't shut up about sex in High School DxD? Green Green did it first.
Also some guys get raped by a bear, so it's got that going for it.
There's a damn Stellvia banner, I should hope it's better remembered. I liked how they were training to fight a gamma ray burst instead of an alien invasion or something.
WGP>S1>>>>MAX. Muh Cyclone Magnum
I wonder if there is someone here followed the new manga
I still own that on DVD. It's in the top five worst anime I own, up there with blue gender, Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~, Gungrave and Battle Athletes Victory.
Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba?
should i watch this ?
i watched 1988 version
Mai Hime has threads weekly. A lot of us have watched it. Hell, I even watched it when it aired.
It wasn't good.
The ovas are great
nobody acknowledge this show
No one posted this one
Villainess is in a skin tight latex outfit.
Jesus Christ, I was doomed to be obsessed with anime girls from the fucking cradle.
Pretty good movie. Fun to watch dubbed.
I've never seen a single person on Sup Forums or on /m/ even bring up this show
That's babby's first ecchi show for 90s kids.
I've never met anyone else who has watched it.
Lamune. It was actually comfy
It comes up in oldschool or 90s threads.
It also aired in Animax Asia way back when it first started. I remember because the show was fucking nuts.
I think I saw it dubbed in my country once.
Is she really wearing only a cape and nothing else?
the anime is called Arc the lad, btw.
I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. All I remember is that the main characters die all the time, and everyone dies in the end.
Only thing it did right was the opening song.
Still waiting for Live-Evil to finish this. Or at least to do more than just the first episode...
I heard there was full english dub, but I can't find it anywhere.
It delivers what it promises, humor and fanservice.
If you seriously expected something more than tits and ass then you're the idiot.
Nigga I seen this
Except it isn't funny
Isn't it the greatest love story ever told?
Wait... Other people watched this?
THAT'S ME! Come on, lots of people have saw that. Get out more.
Didn't expect much from it. It was ok for what it was.
i cant load for shit no seed at all
That girl was the last nail on that coffin.
Jun is special...
Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned
An anime in which Dracula loses his powers and is forced to mug a man for his wallet so he can buy a hamburger
NG Knight was the only good one, VS was garbage.
That's the other anime where Dracula is voiced by Raoh. That one put me to sleep it was so bad. Hardly any animation. It was pretty much just a slide show.
Best war drama anime ever made.
God I remember people arguing whether it was My-HiME or Mai-HiME
VS was garbage
loved this show, have it on dvd.
God, I want to watch both these shows so much.
Were the digitally animated or do we have a chance for a decent blu ray somewhere in the future?
It was, Fire was decent but Fresh was complete garbage.
I think the best timing of episodes was where they first showed an episode of Digimon Season 2 where one of their friends was mind controlled and started to attack them and the protag refused to fight his friend thinking that if he pleads enough, he'd be able to break through the mind control. Didn't work and he had to fight in the end to free his friend.
Then Flint comes on with the same situation where Flint refuses to fight. But in the end, his power of friendship breaks the mind control.
THIS IS CONTRADICTING INFORMATION TO KIDS.
Morgan a best tho
This anime was so good as a teenager.
Okay faggots, if the show you're posting aired on TV (this includes premium channels like Encore Action.) It is not anime only you watched.
Have a picture for ants, just for the caption.
Alternative was better.
GeGeGe no Kitaro
Watched that too.
Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba?
New Mai Hime series when
Became less enjoyable the more serious it became.
actually Tom Wyner never voiced Roah, it was debunked.
pic related for me. I wish I didn't watch it, it actually sucked.
Don't know why Bandai Entertainment had to change it to "My" instead of "Mai" in the first place. "Mai" was perfect enough god and thought myself they were going change the name to Princess too.
I'm talking about Kenji Utsumi you pleb.
How to do a Takahiro/MinatoSoft anime adaptation right.
I remember seeing the fourth and fifth anime airing on Animax.
Best guilty pleasure show ever
never knew a Power Stone anime existed
This was incredibly fun to watch when I was younger.
No. Its bad.
The OP is kinda cool, though.
The one about Mushrambo being the one who was ordered by the final boss to destroy the city/ kill the girl and then you see him fighting himself?
Golden armor vs Evil Mushrambo mixed with the generals ?
on Fox Family aw yiss
Too soon man. Japanese audiences weren't ready to embrace their military and history again yet. Things are different now (Girls und Panzer, Haifuri, etc.), but that was, what, 2008? 9?
The anime aired 2004-2005, about 8 years before GuP... Could views really have changed that much in so short a time, especially seeing as it was still 60 years since the war?
Flat is best
I don't remember what this one was about but I'm quite certain I fucking loved it.
I think the most likely explanation is waifu collecting vs "take this shit seriously"
NA had its many charms.
I think they played this on cartoon network.
Potemayo is fucking great. It's a damn shame so few people seem to have watched it or that it'll never get a S2. Though the manga didn't end on a particularly high note.
Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair
Gakkatsu was pretty much one of the only shows I watched back when it aired but then even the subgroup didn't care anymore
Gargantia was absolutely beautiful, but I'm still pissed that Ledo's CO died
i can't believe i watched that
Discovered it through /f/.
