Did anime ever made you cry?
Did anime ever made you cry?
Not outright but the last episode of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is a huge tearjerker and it almost got me.
All the time. I'd say maybe 1 in 3 anime will make me cry. I've cried 3 times so far watching Gintama and I'm only up to 177.
Don't cry to anything else though. My mother could die and I probably wouldn't cry.
I cried more at the second and third episode than the rest of the anime.
No. I always cry when I see myself though
Made my dick cry several times :^)
Never bawled my eyes out but there were admittedly a few tears during After Story. Otherwise i only get watery eyes some times
Yes. I cry at least once in each anime that I watch.
I don't remember the rest of show well enough but to me they really captured the feeling of finding out someone is dead.
It's not something you always get with deaths in fiction, even if they are tragic the kind of awful shock isn't always there.
I cried during the time travel Yuru Yuri episode when Akari came back
A show must be extremely long (50+ episodes) for me to get invested it enough to cry.
Yeah that depends on how much I like the anime though
That no blood, no bone, no ash scene at the end of K made me cry hard
Do you cry as much for vidya than you do for anime?
I only cried once playing vidya (that last scene of FF type 0 got me) but cried countless of times for anime
Anno hana didn't make this man cry
You're literally a demon.
No, but I made anime cry.
What are you implying there?
JINTA GET IN THE FUCKING ROBOT
Clannad After story. The sun flower field scene with Tomoya and his child.
studied the blade
Can he even properly swing that blade at least once?
We love you, from your brothers.
Of course he can
He cultivated inner strength
Swords are very light.
A teenage girl could swing most longswords without trouble assuming she had the proper training.
Inner strength my dick. If he's gonna be serious with his fedora-tipping-im-a-master-of-the-blade shit then at least fucking study the swordsmastery or some shit.
I cry every time, best anime
As leading sword expert Ewart Oakeshott unequivocally stated: "Medieval Swords are neither unwieldably heavy nor all alike - the average weight of any one of normal size is between 2.5 lb. and 3.5 lbs. Even the big hand-and-a-half 'war' swords rarely weigh more than 4.5 lbs.
Well, ok. But swinging that sword a thousand times is a different stody.
Didn't you read?
He master the blade
If you need 1000 slashes to end a battle, you are probably in an anime yourself.
Clannad and Cross Game got me.
"If I can get better, I want to get married"
Death Parade was the last one to make me bawwww. Ice skating scene. Re-watching it got me even harder. I'm not sure how the 3rd viewing will go.
Final 3 episodes of Golden Time
Tons of moments during Steins Gate and more after rewatching it
Grave of the Fireflies
Viral's sappy dream
Shigatsu wa kimi no uso's final letter
Last Euphemia's scene
"I bit your tongue" of snail
And probably more I'm forgetting.
A lot of things make me cry, op. I'm an emotional mess.
almost all the episodes of Aria the Origination
the first fma anime
You need 1000 slashes because the barbarians are at the gates.
You swing can get blocked too.
Kimi ni Todoke made me tear up a few times. Sawako's character and struggles were very close to some of my own when I was that age, so I was quite invested in seeing her succede and be happy. With all the misunderstandings and problems she ran into I was feeling sadness and anger I didn't know were possible. I ended up dropping it second season just because the bad feelings were outweighing good ones.
Certainly any loving man would accept Dekomori as she is.
That K ending though. It almost got me going. If I was drunk or high I would have had a tear.
One night I got hammered and decided tripping would be a good idea. Then before the trip set in I started watching the last episodes of Clannad.
I was tripping my face off and bawled hard for like an hour straight.
Nothing in the world brings out my real emotions except anime and drugs.
I can only think of two times. first was Gurren Lagann, Kaminas death gets me every fucking time.
the other was Your Lie In April. as someone who's play music all his life, the combo of the music and story really hit hard.
No because I'm not some manchild whp cries at kiddy anime targeted to 10 year olds.
If you cry over anime you are probably a huge faggot who self inserted to much and was probably bullied in school.
Plenty of top tier anime have made me shed tears.
you should finish it. not to spoil too much but things work out after the 2nd season forced drama
You must be really fun at parties, assuming you got invited
tip tip tip
I'm not like you fags who bring down the mood with your depressing shit.
Nope. The last time I cried was 9/11.
What the fuck is wrong with you faggots crying over cartoons?
I cried too
Cried with laughter
If I ever met you IRL, I'd beat you so hard your mother wouldn't recognize the body at the morgue.
I pity you.
Just make sure not to cry yeah, babby.
Not in the past 3 years, I think I've steeled my emotions too strongly.
Sure you would.
I want newshit to leave
were you or your family/friends directly involved in 9/11 ? Or you just cried cause muh murica got hurt
You're damn right I would.
Been here longer than you.
I'm not ashamed to be a patriot.
At every Amazing Grace at least.
Clannad, Angel beats, anohana, ef, requiem for a phantom (biketits) and finally your lie in april made me fucking die on the inside.
Disappearance (Haruhi movie), Gunbuster, SoltyRei, Eve no Jikan, Mushishi, Higurashi no naku koro ni, and lastly, Steins;Gate.
Those are THE only ones, ever. Pretty sure I'm the only one, too.
America, you literally ruined the world.
Just Angel Beats, and not even cried, but I was close
Who the hell cried over anime?
Beeing pride of that shithole
There are only a few countries that will be responsible for destroying this planet. America is one of them and if that makes you pride well then have fun.
I only cry over anime
I cry/tear up at SoLs like Barakamon because my life will never be like that and will remain an uphill struggle until I die.
Rewatching NHK. Cry every episode. My life is so shit.
When is a cutie going to knock on MY door? When will I be saved? WHERE IS MY FUCKING MISAKI.
Angel beats wasn't even sad and the ending was pure fanfiction garbage.
Who the fuck would cry over this shit?
misaki's never coming
Same thing happens to me with Ping Pong senpai.
Everyone gets saved by Peco, the hero they were waiting for, and get their problems solved. Makes me want to kill myself whenever I watch it.
I can't handle NHK at all for a rewatch though, even just hearing the OP or Hitori Bocchi just makes me sad.
if you cry over a cartoon then you should probably kill yourself
It hit pretty hard
Until then it was a sorta happy show
and she wanted to join the photography club
i hide links underneath spoiler tags
Is there anything more annoying than these people?
k-on!! episode 20 and 26
madoka episode 12
ping pong episode 6
I've always been easy to cry for a guy desu, but only in private.
I've probably cried to TV shows (not just anime) 100+ times.
goodbye best girl
But Nadeko didn't leave
Lockon Lockon... Lockon Lockon... Lockon Lockon...
This this and this again.
It still hurts
Higurashi, twice. Watching a thing like that with literally no spoilers (didn't even know about the deaths or time loops) can do that to me.
Also cried at fucking Pokemon when I was six, the episode where Pikachu almost left and the first movie. I think Leomon's death in Digimon Tamers got me when I was eight or so.
Tulip's death in Jack to Mame no Ki also made me cry, but I was having a meltdown anyway and put the anime on to calm down for a bit, so literally anything would have made me cry at the time.
I don't play video games much, but might have cried after finishing OFF. Or I was just very emotional, can't remember.
Being able to cry over fictional characters and situations means that you have good abstract thinking and empathy. Erase these people from the gene pool, and next generations are going to be filled with even more edgelords than now. You don't want that to happen, do you?
end of evangelion, arashi no yoru ni, mind game
these are the only 3 that made me cry
Wow dude, watch out that you don't cut yourself on that edginess
When I finished watching K-On!! and I realised that the ride was over.
Viral's dream in TTGL also did for me.
Sure, but not that one.
I am that fuck up friend of the MC.
What's to cry here?
Whenever I hear this, I break.
I cried at that episode myself
It was the first anime I watched, too. But I was watching it with my imouto so I had to hide it Well at least I tried, not sure if she realized it.
when Taiga realizes her feelings for Ryuuji in episode 19.
Do you cry as much for vidya than you do for anime?
I got really invested in that game for some reason though. It's just some colorful puzzle game thingie that I had never heard about before.
Grave of the fireflies man. fuck that iam never watching it again
Wasn't being edgy just stating fact. Real life has no sway over my emotions. Only the cute 2D chinese cartoon girls do.
Why did you cry with Higurashi ? That's my favorite story, and i watch it when i'm bored. Of course, sometimes it's sad, but i didn't cry.
All Maeda is sad. Clannad AS is probably the saddest, but i didn't cry, even i was close too. For Angel Beats, the music "Ichiban no Tarakamono" is really great. Without her, shoudn't be so sad.
it was sad but more "I can't believe that just happened and now I feel empty inside" rather than cry my eyes out sad.
anime made me cry and confused but never made me scared
Movies with actors, yes.
But anything animated doesn't click emotionally.
TTGL because I was like in middle school the first time I watched it.
K-ON got me in college because I had a similar experience at the end of high school.
i actually cried 2 times, first time during the movie second time when i found out that it was based on a real story. Man, even now when i remember it i feel super sad.
Movies with actors
This one got me because I wasn't expecting it.
The first time, when Keiichi died in the Onikakushi-hen. I knew no spoilers and assumed he's dead for good, and so are the girls. Thinking about what their parents must have felt when they found out was heartbreaking. Maybe it just got too personal for me for a moment, but I got really attached to the characters, too.
Then, the end of the second-to-last arc of season 2, when they all die, but decide to try again one last time. This is the true friendship goals.
I cry when I watch that anime where
a boy falls in love with a girl. Unable to confess,..
Kotoura-San made me cry so hard. Hit me right in the feels because I know what it's like to be bullied.
I cried Multiple times watch Ojamajo Doremi
implying a seasoned neckbeard would cry anything but the manliest of tears
Things I cried at:
And the list goes on.
That scene in Chuuni
About 70% of anime i watch, though i do watch lots of epic/feelsy stuff
SAO made me cry right at the end of the last season, that cut way too deep
No, but the closest I've been to crying was probably the ending of plastic memories.
I'm not denying the sadness of their death (and what makes it sad is that can really happen), but this is an horror anime, so you're not surprised by their murder. Even that's sad.
OMFG that death.
This. Her plight weighs heavy on my heart.
This, on second viewing.
And you're not morally obligated to cry, but the realization of what Homura had been through should be at least a bit sad on the first.
Just some tears, I can't remember the last time I truly cried.
I feel like I really need it though.
More than they should.
Ive been putting off watching anohana because I was so fucking depressed and cried during ep 2
I have a feeling that if I continue watching it I'll just get automatically depressed and cry
It really took a serious turn.
Cried to Code Geass
Except the tears came out of my dick
A few the strangest one was
I didn't even know the genre. My friend literally came over on my birthday and put the anime on without explaining anything, and it was the first time I've even seen the title (I was very new to anime at the time). Figured out it's some creepy suspence shit, but didn't think someone would actually die like that. My bad.
This one got me also
Did anime ever make you cry?
This...was outright brutal.
I wasn't prepared for that kind of ending.
Who's eyes didn't sweat. Who I ask, who?
its pretty damn sad
low blow user, low blow.
Never. My heart is made of stone. My soul and emotions are frozen.
That hotarubi Mori e movie, holy fuck
Huston, we have a problem.
the episode of non non biyori where renge is taking pictures with her friend and then her friend moves away
or the one where candy store is teaching renge how to ride a bike
The only one that made me tear up.
homura shoots madoka
the ending where homura is talking with madoka's parents
Assclass and watamote and I'm not ashamed.
the first pokemon movie if that even counts. you know which scene.
I never cry
Not that you're wrong, since the show had sexiness after all, but I'd say Code Geass did have a couple of pretty emotional scenes that could make people feel close to crying.
Like when Lelouch died (or "died")
What the fuck are you doing Sup Forums?
yes. a lot actually.
the last one to really make me full on cry was shigatsy wa kimi no uso when kosei
accepted that his mom was abusive but loved him, and decided to move on
made me text my mom desu senpai
No, there are more depressing things out there like mirrors.
Nope. No form of media has made me cry, outside of a roleplay I did a few years back. I think it's because of a disconnect between me and other people, both characters and in real life.
Sorry for the blogpost
tenshi ni fureta yo plays
