New and last chapters of Sengoku Youko. Right on time today for one last time.
Sengoku Youko: Chapter 97-99 (End)
I'm glad but with this and Spirit Circle ending, I'm gonna miss all of this.
so glad i stayed up for this
Thank you TL user [email protected]
Oh man it's time
GET IN HERE
Sensei will start a new series. He always does
Pretty sure the final chapter of Spirit Circle announced that he has something in the works, tentatively titled "The Manga Way," or something.
Awkward reunion between the two protagonist
H-Hello to you too
And that's the end of the final fight. The journey is coming to an end.
LEWD AS FUCK
Jinka is so short.
Jinka was missing for 8 years. Maybe he has time to grow now
No wonder he's an edgy POS.
If it's a hole then we just have to fill it up
I'd MS Paint the shit out of that last panel for personal use, but I'm at work.
take Rock Waifu with you!
Where you going?
To none of your business
So sassy, Shinsuke.
That was pretty dickish of him.
He went back to being Edgesuke just for this final task.
They match now.
whats Shinsuke got to be so edgey now?
End of Chapter 97.
A god and a bitch.
Fucking Shinsuke's the one going after Kokugetsusai?
I'm biting so much in anticipation that I might not have fingernails after this.
That's Yazen bruh
Fuck, yeah, I meant him.
Hanatora and her outfit are cute
and thus Jinka's otherkin obsession was realized
Now you see why he went back to being Edgesuke for the moment.
She's always cute. CUTE.
I wonder if those stats are even before awakening
message received, new strategy implemented
Fucking hell, this guy.
He look so angry.
I wonder how shinsuke found yazen so easiuly
I can feel the edge in his gaze. Edgenosuke is back.
What's his beef with Yazen again?
Indirectly causing Shaku's stoning? Modifying Barry?
Uuh? I know he hates him but that seems pretty out of character now. Could it be that Kokugetsusai is possessing him?
But then i guess that Shinsuke, given how strong-willed he is would ba aware of it.
Yes and yes. Also for experimenting on a gorillion demons.
And back to our normal Shinsuke.
Yazan is just too dangerous to be left alive, aslong as he live he'll continue causing chaos with his experiments.
No Senya, that's not how you say it.
As far as I remember he hated the guy since he met Shakugan. Remember the deal about human modification? He didn't take it well.
Your arm's off, Yazen.
Wind powers are so OP
He has a mountain god as his bitch, I don't think it was hard.
I bet she regret letting him out of her grasp now.
Tama, I'm already a demon
Indirectly causing Shaku's stoning
you mean directly.
Christ, that was easy.
Even if he didn't kill him, he still fucked up Yazen pretty good
Jinka probably is probably stronger than her at this point anyway.
Mountain God lets them off the hook
Fuck. I was legitimately looking forward to some kind of punishment. This ending already feels too far on the happy side. There should've been consequences.
also I wonder is this the shrine/area that gets used for GEKO GEKO(another mizukami story)
We already lost Douren
Its been so long.
He fulfilled his lifelong dream, though, and was already on the verge of death.
shinsuke indirectly saved the day
But for real, I wanted to see some punishment after building that up for so long.
Aw man. This feels like they are putting a dog down or something.
why does this mangaka keep making me cry. I've never cried at any japanese cartoons before !
Holy shit, what a bunch of bros
Oh shit here we go.
I need Rockfu wedding
I thought his name was MAAAAAATSUUUUUUUNAAAAAAGAAAAAAAAA
DON'T DO THIS TO ME
why do people reverting to their kid forms as an artistic mean to do something always hits me hard?
same thing happened when I watched the Last
Good night, Sweet Prince.
BUT WHAT ABOUT SHAKUGAN
haha, what a funny joke.
Oh man, fuck you Mizukami.
S-stop it please.
inb4 last page cuts to senya watching samidare or spirit circle characters in modern tokyo
Ah, so we're going the "Immortals will see their loved ones pass away" ending.
Their mana powers are far above yours!
Shinsuke casts Slash.
you were so beautiful
Bro, not the time.
So it's that kind of ending....
I think it's too late for her to care, user.
Get it, "late"?
Mizu Kami indeed. Full control of the water in my eyes.
She just died, so he is referring to her as a whole. Were is right because she no longer is
I hate you.
God, I hope they have so many children it can populate the village.
End of Chapter 98. Here's your damn consequences. Next is the final chapter.
Tsukiko said that, not Senya. Tsukiko said that before she die she'll remember Senya's beautiful full power form during his fight with Jinka.
Shouldn't this be "that's kind of tricky..." or "that kind of trick..."?
That's okay, I hate myself too.
I think it was something like "that kind of tricky move won't work on me!" but he couldn't finish what he was saying.
Stop making this all sadder, STALKER.
I did not expected this sadness
THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED
WHERE'S MY HEARTWARMING ROMANTIC EPILOGUE, Mizukami?
My heart is warmed but not with happiness.
Can't get enough of these endings when they're done well. So good.
Senya should have just killed himself and go to the afterlife.
Oh, right, I see it now
held hands with Shinsuke and gave himna lot of babies.
all i wanted some a kiss page or some hand hold with Shinsuke and Shakugan
What is this rapid-fire sadness? Goddamn you Mizukami
That final scene between Tsukiko and Senya is damn romantic. Maybe not passionate, but it reflects a happy and long life
Blame Stalker, the japanese language doesn't have past tenses
Well at least they had many children and lived a happy life together.
Tsukiko said that, not Senya. Tsukiko said that before she die she'll remember Senya's beautiful full power form during his fight with Jinka.
Oh fuck, that's good.
Might be better to make it clearer though, since it seems nobody in the thread caught the fact it was Tsukiko speaking.
here's your damn consequences
meanwhile Jinka and Tama are fucking like rabbits for all eternity without a care in the world in an old shack at the top of a mountain
They're not so different from the Yazen couple
Rock waifu turned into rock granny now, but hey atleast we know they married and had kids.
So uh, they had lots of Children.
Wonder if Senya went many-arms-God mode during sexy times with Tsukiko.
This is why mortals should never marry immortals unless they become immortals themselves.
It's this sense of inevitable sadness in their future.
That is maybe a slightly inappropriate theme, dude.
here's your damn consequences
I meant for Jinka and Tama. They got such a good deal in this compared to the others.
Chapter 99, the final chapter.
I wonder if she'll let me use my extra arms for kinky stuff
[muffled 'genius!' in the background]
Thousand Arms Vibrating Ends
I think Tsukiko should lead this time
Haha 200 years time skip.
For the last time
Stick it in the other hole!
GENIUS! GENIUS! GENIUS!
Haha, good one!
When do you think they stopped having sex? The day before she died? The month before? The year before?
It's confirmed that they fucked numerous times, but you'd think it'd be awkward as hell with 1002 demons watching all the time.
aw yeh, man, right in 'er pooper!
remember, bro, she likes it a little to the left
Tsukiko, can we, uh, do this another time?
like it when they watch
damn, hes still around huh?
Not for long
Please dont end, I ll cry like a bitch
It's even more awkward considering Dragon Dad, Senya's Mother, Uncle Tiger and the Shogun are also watching.
Why must Senya suffer so much? He's lost a father, his wife, his nephews, he's going to be a Shinsuke 2.0
Who was him?
Who was this guy again?
the demon shinsuke fought a few times
Semi-Relevant recurring character dies as a punchline to a Joke in the last chapter.
He's not. He's going to move on, as time passes. All good immortals eventually do.
A bit too 'gangbang' flavoured for me. But hey, if she likes it!
Must feel weird to have sex with a girl while a thousand bros in your head give you tips of what to do.
You'll lose your life
That suits me just fine
Dammit, the suffering
the heads have different amounts of eyes
It's a pretty common bit, but it sort of has implications for Mizukami. All those weird, minimalism monsters and golems we've seen over the course of the series too.
Wonder if the japanese have any Succubus-type yokais
Senya got his own loli
Shinsuke taught him well. I wonder if Hanatora is still hanging around in the village.
It's even more awkward considering Dragon Dad, Senya's Mother, Uncle Tiger and the Shogun are also watching
Also Tsukiko's dad
How did he even keep his boner
No, get riled up!
You should be getting riled up!
Oh, is Senya an ancient evil-breaking traveler now?
Smoke demon girl is cute
Even Shinsuke moved on and became best character, but at what cost? They didn't deserve that suffering.
How did he even keep his boner
His love for Tsukiko is so strong.
fuck, that makes me sadder.
Jinka is the same kind of entity as Senya now right? Is he still around?
CUTE. Shame she only appear now in the last chapter.
he couldn't bother to trim his hair after so many years so he just went with a ponytail
brought his own miniature torture jail
Shinsuke's descendants made a pocket hell for evil demons
Avoiding his own family
What a horrible great great great great grandparent.
You'll see, just wait.
even though it's been over 200 years since we first met
And I've got another 800 to go
In case some people don't know, Senya is making a joke about his name here. Senya = Thousand years
Thats pretty good. Thanks user
So this is what it means what it means to be put to sleep
Is that intended?
Oh. I thought he'll meet Tsukiko again in 800 years.
Well, Tama is a Demon, so she's definitely also long lived, but she ain't no near omnipotent demigods like Jinka and Senya. Jinka will definitely outlive her right?
Wouldn't Jinka lapse back into being an Edgemaster God if Tama kicks the bucket?
That reminds me
We never got to see qt Yuki-onna again
What a shame
oh, he's still around
I like the idea that she harrassed Senya and Tsukiko for a threesome a few times.
I heard the smoke girl appears in some other manga.
And Senya rejected it, because the moment he saw any other pussy his dick literally wilted.
You screwed up the "And" in the 4th bubble there Stalker.
I don't think so, no. I'll fix it. Thanks.
Really? That's nice.
Oh man he looks even more beautiful. Tsukiko sure is lucky.
That might just have the white god though.
That should be "have been", right?
wait Senya's been losing to Mudo somehow??
'have been the white god' (and maybe with an exclamation mark at the end)
you've piled up a lot of losses
I've thought he said 'lasses' there and went, "daaamn, Senya"
I will laugh my ass off if Mudo ended up looking like Douren.
MC is implied to be in a losing streak to his male rival in the epilogue
Oh man, almost a Mizukami staple.
They're playing Go.
Dammit he even got a loli sidekick now.
And yet another one of my pleasure for the week comes to an end.
Thanks for your hard work!
Plowing the snow bank
In a friendly manner
Indeed, that's a good way to keep a friend.
Who is Sonken-sama again?
Yazen died from the deadly Japanese Cold.
Oh no, Senya's got dementia!
Who's this? Isn't it Tama's step-dad who got his arm cut off and lost an eye?
Ha! wrong timeline again, kid.
anyway, anyone have a picture of quadruple spread of yoshiteru fight in the volume one?
Not the combined one, anyway.
I remembered someone took a photo of that.
I guess we are never gonna meet Mudos sister
Jinka: On all levels including physical, I am a Fox
I love this image here. Just two godlike beings sitting on a mountain, playing go, and shooting the shit about humans.
Snow plowing is not a 'hobby', but good for him.
It's Jinka. He's become a full on demon now and hangs out as a giant fox demon, no human body. Or at least that's the implication. I'm sure he can turn into a human form, should it please him, but Jinka was always an otherkin shit, so I imagine he doesn't do it often.
It's Jinka, gone full furry.
If 'digging' is a hobby, 'snow plowing' is.
I have the feeling Mizukami might like a lawn.
How is he having sex with his sister, then? In giant wolf form?
Fuck even Tago got hitched.
those droopy eyes
looks like one of the girls in spirit circle
Is Tama the wife then? I remember she liked the monkey's booze.
Best not think about it.
baby on the lower right
I suppose we already saw his huge family earlier, but it's a nice touch.
Yuuhi in Biscuit Hammer sure liked digging holes
hey everyone, now I'm dead as well!
Of course, they've been saying they love each other since forever.
So that's how the legend of the japanese cold began.
GIT GUD SENYA
making cold jokes
she is so into him
Aww he has a daughter!
Yazen created Japanese cold
The fucker. Even in death he's still creating problem.
Fuck you, Mizukami
No one saved it?
South Sea Admiral
Sickening Mist Noble
Doctor Who names.
800 more years left to live
will never see Tsukiko again
Senya and Mudo spend the rest of their days battling calamities.
There's Jinka again, in human form.
I'm not sure he'll die in 800 years, user. That was just a joke based on his name.
Jinka just nonchalantly shows up.
And that's the end of our eight years journey. What an amazing ride.
Thank you all for reading to the end.
Broing it up until the end of times.
Nice ending but kinda reminds me of Gurren Lagann.
aw man this is it
Thanks for the dump m8.
Hopefully Mizukami starts working on something new soon
Thanks for all your work!
Whens Spirit Circle ending?
It was the classic battle start against a jobber into a dramatic freezeframe end
Pretty solid ending though, I'm glad we got a happy one. And what a ride it was.
Before today I could only read these threads in the archive because of my schedule. I swore I would make it today to read the finale with you guys. Not as good as Spirit Circle's ending, in my opinion, but still nice to have some closure.
Thanks for the dump, STALKER.
Thank you and your team for the hard work.
What an amazing ride indeed.
"And so we'll fight together for another day!"
A very...shonen-y ending, even more so than Samidare's "we'll continue living together for another day" or Spirit Circle's "Now this is the story of the MC"
Thanks for everything.
Oh wow, I'm slow.
What a ride.
It was an honor reading with you all.
Thank you for your and your team's work, STALKER.
See you next series.
As it is with all of Mizukami's works, it's been quite a ride.
Thanks for letting me enjoy it with Sup Forums based S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
It ended like two months ago.
Thanks for your hard work.
But now theres a hole in my heart.
Thanks again to you and the rest of the team for pumping these things out with only minimal grammar mistakes.
Oh shit! Not quite yet?
Ok, now it's really over. Lets look forward to Mizukami's next work.
says good bye to the reader
Fuuuuuuck. Wasn't ready for that.
Here's the final credit page. So we did accomplish our goal of catching up in time for the final chapter.
facing the audience
"oh hey there, hope you enjoy us so far."
there was more
Jinka writing "idiot" on the monster of the week's face
When was the release date for the last Spirit Circle tankobon? I remember people saying it might have an extra epilogue since Biscuit Hammer did.
One without the text incase anyone wants it.
What a wild ride.
Now that it ends. Mizukami Satoshi will be known for :
The first quadruple spread in manga history
The first double spread in manga history
and that's fucking fantastic.
Thanks dude. Kindda sad Shinsuke just gone like that.
I hope we'll see this bunch again in the future. Shinsuke's descendant already show up in a spinoff right?
we'll be leaving you with something to keep you warm inside as well
It's a much more shonen-y story than those. It eventually got a lot more Mizukami-esque, but the opening was pure shonen.
The first double spread in manga history
Also I doubt he was the first to make quadruple spreads. I bet Tezuka did some of that back in his day.
but I hope we'll be leaving you with something to keep you warm inside as well
See you again.
FUCKIN BREAK THE FOURTH WALL
So, anime adaptation ever?
It already ended mate.
On the 10th of June, same day as the release of the final volume for Sengoku Youko.
Unfortunately Legend of Koizumi might have topped him with that one chatper-long spread
Final Rising Sun Kokushimusou
I'll never forget
Triple ganging-up on a poor mad spirit
I'm really happy I could be here now when you finished this.
But I'm really sad I was here now when you finished this.
Fuck that was good.
Also snow cutie's in the last pannel.
Mizukami made a pact with a demon to never get an anime adaptation in exchange for being able to make great story after great story.
In true Mizukami fashion, it all works out for the best.
Unfortunately, Owada Hideki has him beat with a goddamn 26 page spread from Legend of Koizumi.
They never used the shogun sword, did they?
That's fucking nothing. Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku had a TREDECUPLE (13) double page spreads.
This is it all combined into one long spread in a store in Japan.
Only once i think. But yeah it turned "not so important" since they ditched the initial plan.
It ended so well. SO WELL!
I am in awe.
Fuck I'm sad.
That was good. But I'm sad.
That's such an adorable name
It's kinda unfair to compare Mizukami to an author whose story is "how can I make 'mahjong with major political figures' crazier? I know, NAZIS. SPACE NAZIS!"
Nice ending to a great manga. I think the final battle chapters were more impactful than this ending, but it was nice, and the little 4th-wall break at the end was fun.
And I'm sad it's over.
Do you think Taku Iwasaki would be a good pick for OST if it ever got an anime?
that far enough
That's far enough*, STALKER.
The Taku is hardly ever a bad pick.
Did it? Last chapter are full of [here's exciting adventure we did but never bother to tell!]
Feels like sequel bait.
I fail to see your point.
time to cry like a fag I am. Good shit, now one of my top. It's good to witness the end with you guys here.
The fact that he already did another Japanese-y OST for Katanagatari is probably a bonus, though.
Thanks for all your work, you translated the chapters like madmen and you deserve some rest. It was a great ride, now I'll wait for other works from Mizukami.
In a couple of one shots yeah.
How can i go on after this?
I would've liked to see more of the families, especially Shinsuke's and Shakugans no doubt bountiful offspring. One can hope there's an epilog for the final volume release at somepoint (unless this was that).
Recently rereading the LotR in full has given me a bit of an interest in ending like this which follow all the protagonist's through the rest of their lives and up until their "deaths."
It's not satisfying.
Some character just died.
The survivor doing some random adventure.
It doesn't feel like a climax of the series, it feel like an epilogue. Mizukami should expand on Shinsuke and Tsukiko's dead and put this chapter as bonus for the volume release.
It's not so much sequel bait, and part of the "theme" of Senya's character development: there's always more to see beyond this one journey or this one generation. You couldn't possibly show it all on page, so Mizukami alludes to it and shows what a small bit of Senya's new daily or so life is like.
I think it's a fitting ending for a story with a guy who is probably immortal.
when you stumble upon on ex-friend
piled up a lot of losses
more yuuhi vs mikazuki
MIZUKAMI I LOVE YOUUU
I wonder if Senya'll see modern Japan or if he'll be traveling to other continents.
how can we go on with this ending, masterpiece.
By moving on to Mizukami's next feature, of course!
Thanks for the good work man. Add another page at the end telling the readers they can all go congratulate Mizukami on the at https://twitter.com/nekogaeru and that they can buy the final volumes coming out on June 10th at:
And so ends one of my favorite series I've read. Eight years huh? Doesn't feel like that long.
I thank you for your efforts STALKER, and I thank Sup Forums as well for your company while we finish up this work. I look forward to enjoying whatever series shows up next with you all as well.
Wasn't there a 2-page spread with a scene like this? I'm not sure if you posted that at random or during a dump, where was it again?
Thank you very much.
The journey was worth it. Even after all the sadness the epilogue had healing in it.
I'm getting emotional, both sad and happy
Now it will be forever archived in my soul
Goddamn it I fucking love shit like this so much.
I had a blast reading this, even more with Sup Forums. Thanks for the good times STALKER and Sup Forums. I hope to enjoy more with you all in the future.
So can somebody make up a chronology of mizukami works. I'm pretty sure they are related somehow.
Make sense. Guess I'm just pissed that the last few chapter show too much Jinka shit that it feels like Mizukami "skipped" Shinsuke and Tsukiko's death and make it like Senya just moving on without much conflict.
Thanks for your hard work, STALKER-kun!
Thank you Senya.
Thank you everyone.
Making a multiverse spreadsheet would be bananas, but taking the general timeframe of every "universe" and "past life" and plopping them onto a timeline would be neat.
I want to see the banana. Could you do it for me user?
Senya has a dream of it back when he was a kid. Maybe not of this specific moment, though it probably is because that's how stories work, but definitely of one of the time Senya is climbing a mountain to feel alive.
I'm calling the cops.
Thinking about it, the Mizukami universe has about as much TRPG potential as Log Horizon. I mean, everyone would be reincarnations of espers and demons, but the thought still makes me chuckle. Some aliens too. Then there are super time/space beings.
My tabletop group and I are actually planning a deity-level campaign. And you're right, Mizukami's universe and world-building would fit right in.
She grew up
What. Why would a spirit grow up, now I'm sad.
Would something like this do? Posting the complete Amazon link is just impossible.
But some stories seem to be more linked than others, such as Enra Enra being both here and in Sajin Sadou.
That works. Good choice of background. Shame you couldn't fit in the links though. Wanted to see if anyone was going to try typing the whole thing in.
A lot of the multiverse stuff seems to be about constants and variables in a given timeline. Like how in Steins;Gate there are select timelines with events in history and such that wrap multiple timelines together into groups of realities that are very similar.
Anima in Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer says it best, I think. When she reveals that she's
a descendant of Hangetsu and Samidare's older sister, Yuuhi points out that the two only met because of the events caused by Anima/Animus, but Anima says that they could have met in any number of different circumstances. In my mind, them meeting might be a considered a constant in their universe.
Or maybe I'm talking out of my ass? I haven't even read Sajin Sadou yet.
Ah, and it's from chapter 52, when he was still young.
Some demons have 6 arms, it's all rather spooky.
They are more like spiritual antennas.
Demon Foxes are such cuties.
Also protag having the Kazamatsuri name
the human ears are immediately covered up by hair as soon as the animal ears are revealed
And this related to? I'm bit rusty here.
Senya x yuki onna actually happened
how can mizukami be this good?
thanks Stalker, see you at the next Mizukami work
Senya x yuki onna actually happened
He explicitly said she's a friend.
Come on user, it's only been 200 years. Tsukiko's body has just now 100% degraded into soil.
actually i don't know what japanese at that time do with bodies. cremation?
Shinsuke's last name is Kazamatsuri.
It gets called multiple times in the second to last chapter
Thank you for all your hard work!!!
Damn, I need to catch up on this too.
Can anybody tell me what happened with Tsukiko at the end?
Is there any babies between her and Senya?
Goddamn so good. Thanks to everyone who worked on this.
to take care OF with only one "F"
Thank you for the translations. The feels were worth it, sticking around here.
Shinsuke fucked the cat demon too
It's that kind of ending.
Better brace myself then
fit so well
Wait, it's out already? Oh dear.
I'm going to miss that ride.
To be honest, I'm pretty concerned about his "The Way of Mangaka" since the premise seems so different from what I love his works for
He lost his fairy eye, probably because his brother died. Arm we knew about already, and that's probably just his full demon form.
Seems pretty obvious that it's Jinka.
Spin off when?
Well, Senya can relax now, happiness is dead.
They happen in parallel worlds so I don't think that'd really be possible. For example, we know that Animus succeeded in smashing a fair number of worlds, and that the reincarnations in Spirit Circle doesn't necessarily happen in the same timeline. Since some stories can happen in parallel a proper chronology isn't possible, and there's no indication of which stories are actually in the same timeline and which aren't.
Every badass needs his own personal loli
No I mean who is Kazamatsuri?
Thanks for the good work and letting us enjoy this great series to the end
Shinsuke confirmed best boy again
Thank you Senya it was quite a journey
Well, now that I've read the final chapters, I can only say: Mizukami delivered once again. Great finale overall. Oh... and that fourth wall breaking at the end - Senya truly learned from the Shogun.
Sanjin Sadou was fun. Enra even mentioned that she has a thing for guys who smoke tying it to Sengoku Youko even more with Senya's new smoking habit.
Confirmed for being the same world as Sanjin Sadou
Been a long time since Shinsuke met Jinka and Tama for the first time.
Even knowing other Mizukami works, I wouldn't have thought It would turn in such a story.
Shit, I feel old
Wrong! Happiness lives inside Hanatora's tummy!
We already knew that since Arabuki is used
Isn't that just some pixiv comics about how he became a mangaka or whatever?
So we have
Fuck, and I just read Sanjin Sadou one or two months ago, how did I not see that one
Quite upset Shinsuke and Hanatora's fates are unknown. Here's hoping to a extra tankoubon chapter.
Also the fact the Jinka actually became a demon in the end is absolutely retarded. His entire "character development" was realizing that humans aren't so bad, and yet his edgelord chuuni dream is still fulfilled despite all the shit he did.
Yoru has the Fairy Eye
one character with the Kazamatsuri surname
Literally all but said.
Which makes me wonder where the fuck did Senya fuck off to.
I wonder what Akitani (Swordfish Knight) was doing around the time when Sengoku Youko ends.
If he didn't become a demon he'd die before his waifu like Yazen did.
I do not blame him.
Tama should've just become mortal or something. Shinsuke being just about the only one excluded from their little immortality club is bullshit.
Shinsuke and Hanatora
Not him, but it might've been more poetic if Jinka lost his powers and Tama became human or something. Too bad that was a solution that wasn't even alluded to, but I dunno. I agree that Jinka/Tama got off easy in the end even though their actions kind of fucked up plenty of things around them.
Hopefully he was reunited with his waifu
Dead after living a long and fulfilling life alongside his wife.
She's a mountain god and now she's got his soul.
Jinka is worse than Yazen. At least Yazen was trying to make his waifu mortal and not the other way around.
the fact the Jinka actually became a demon in the end
He didn't become a demon in the end though. He became one in the middle. You can't just turn back. It's like sake.
She's a mountain god and now she's got his soul.
What I mean is that that's very ambiguous.
Actually, Senya might be dead in Sanjin Sendou.
Arabuki isn't broken there.
Uh no, he became a demon. He's immortal and can turn into a giant fox. They even explicitly say it
Except this whole manga happened because Yazen, so it's all Yazen's fault really.
Would be pretty pissed if he beat Shinsuke at the end.
Reread what I said user.
He became a fucking demon, baka nigga
Yes, but he became one in the middle of the story, not at the end of it.
Jinka would've become the 1000 tail fox eventually because muh fate power. It was literally so easy for him to become it. All he had to do was get really angry and fight a difficult battle with Tama.
Hate to break it to you but neither are Arabuki. Checked my copy and those are Byakkokusen(White Black River) and Kousouzan(Crimson Green Mountain). Who translated those? Tsukiko's lightning sword does show up in the hundred demon village oneshots though not by name.
And since this will probably be the last big Sengoku Youko thread, I've got some confessions to make:
S.T.A.L.K.E.R., remember those Sengoku Youko threads all those years back when Mountain Bitch posting started and all we had of the series were spoilers and the occasional pics in the threads?
And eat the flesh of a land god.
Yeah, he's not anywhere in the middle though. He's an actual demon.
Which wouldn't happen if Yazen wasn't going around making super strong fighters.
Hell, didn't he want to turn Tama's mom "back" into a human? Bet he was the one who turned her into a demon too.
He did everything wrong and everything that happened points back to him.
Tama's mom was always a demon, did you even read Sengoku Youko?
But that's besides the point, because even if Yazen never existed muh fate power would cause a circumstance where the 1000 tail demon fox would emerge eventually.
Everything is in the same world as everything else: it's the coherent continuity of the Mizukami universe.
I've got some confessions to make
But what about Shinsuke and Shakugan?
Just have faith in Mizukami, all of his works has been good/fun so far. I believe that he won't break the string of good stories.
all we had of the series were spoilers and the occasional pics in the threads?
Aye, I remember.
Too many babies to count
They both die of old age but not before leaving behind an entire dynasty of rock babies. I do wonder if the childrens will inherit some of Shakugan's power.
Shakugan divorced Shinsuke after his rampant affairs with various demons. She was okay with Hanatora and the bakeneko, but when she caught him cheating with Kagan via spiritual interference, that was the last straw.
Do you think Kagan gave Shinsuke some tips about Shaku's weak spots while they did the deed
Well... Quite a good bit of the mountain bitch posting and spoiler pics of the hype developments and shinsuke suffering were
IT WAS ME STALKY! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!!
Do you think instead of fucking Shakugan he fracked her?
Son of a bitch!
but it looked like the two hardly interacted
shakugan wasn't inside shinsuke's village
AW SUNNUVA MOUNTAIN BITCH
Tsukiko's lightning sword does show up in the hundred demon village oneshots though not by name.
Which one? It's not in the translated Hyakki story in Gekogeko.
Is it a story in PiyoPiyo?
MY TEARS ARE BOILING HOT.
Yup. Piyo Piyo. Last one at the end.
Shaku being submissive in bed, Kagan take over and become dominating
These double personalities must be quite fun.
Goddammit Mountain Bitch.
This brings back some memories.
Shakugan was just him being wishy-washy in the beginning over his latent desire to fuck demons.
You guys should post it
Setsu is 2qt
Reread the chapter where Senya leaves; she's there in the village when he goes away, after Shinsuke's death. She makes a comment about how even though both she and Senya are modified humans, he hasn't aged a day while she's grown old.
Even Tama was getting thirsty af for him towards the end. She blushed when he showed up to save her.
Well, Senya is gonna live like a thousand lifetimes.
Damn it's been a fine journey. TY based Mizukami. TY based Stalker.
I particularly enjoyed posting this page around when the chapter came out.
I actually do have the raws of it saved somewhere in my archives but I thought there was someone else who was working on the oneshots already?
"Long time no see" still fucks me up bad.
Reminder that Tama is the worst "friend" on the planet.
Memories of both a god and a bitch.
I wonder if he's still alive in the present time, being a hermit somewhere and acting like an idiot.
"Guh, I bet she's gonna beg me not to go..."
Throws a snake at him
I'm looking at all the other manga hosting sites I can find and it seems whoever is working on them stopped at the first chapter of PiyoPiyo
being a hermit somewhere and acting like an idiot
Hey. Remember that homeless guy in Hoshi no Samidare?
Would Senya know about Pineapples and Swords though?
I could've learned.
Well that's a shame. Chapters 2 and 3 are quite a lot of fun. My favorite miniseries of his. Already did three of his finales though so I'd rather let someone else take a crack at it instead of hogging the man's work to myself.
Shinsuke's soul should've been inside that gourd. I have my fingers crossed for a omake where he's body-sharing with a loli though.
Guess it's time to reread this now.
Can't say that I do. I need to reread a lot of Mizukami stuff.
Drinking with the monkey as said here
Too bad that the overall payoff is pretty crap.
What, 50-60 chapters? One two page spread and they don't share more than a few words for the rest of the fucking series?
Yeah, even her spiritual interference was just about her and Kagan. Shinsuke cosplayed as a samurai lord (literally self-inserting) to seduce the shit outta her soul though.
GODDAMMIT WOODS BITCH
Pretty much everything from chapter 75 on feels rushed.
Could have used like 10 more chapters.
Yeah i know. I just wanted to see her after the 200 years timeskip.
Still a better Sengoku romance than any of the couples in SY.
This will be unpopular, but Mizukami really doesn't write relationships very well
Jinka barely change except the eyepatch, I doubt much would change with her either. Wonder if they had any childrens.
Without the blatant emotional bait, this isn't actually a very good ending.
Fucking Japanese and their fear of commitment.
Thanks for your work! I'm gonna miss this translations.
Lapis and Lafalle were written quite good. And I thought Samidare and Yuuhi were really good sometimes. The oneshot about the boyfriend turning into a frog too.
Now that I think about it, Mizukami character's romantic chemistry typically work better with parties that aren't romantically involved with each other.
Ex: Yuuhi/Anima > Yuuhi/Samidare, Shinsuke/Hanatora > Shinsuke/Shakugan
GOD I HOPE NOT
Her mom drove a guy figuratively insane, and she herself drove a guy literally insane. And it's only been escalating, since Jinka could probably fuck up parts of the planet, while Yazen could only fuck up Japan.
If they had a kid whoever that kid ends up seducing will be Fortuna 2.0.
I'll be taking the privilege of taking the thread's bumping affinity away.
Also, take a guess why I have this.
To be fair, Jinka was kinda edgy even way before he met Tama and he was driven insane because of the Tribe of the Void.
Are you also Chartfag?
This comes up in Senya's mind when he gets it on with Yuki-onna
Just needs edit with yandere face Tsukiko
So the seduced will become blissfully obvlivious that his acts are evil?
Thanks to all those involved in the series, especially based Mizukami-sensei.
Been reading it since first chapter got scanlated, it's been so long.
Fire and Water are East and Rune, the nomenclature is entirely coincidental, it's clear the message Mizukami was sending by having 4 gods and 4 protagonists and each god sharing the protagonist's hairstyles
Enra Enra says that she always loved dudes who smoke.
Fucking Senya, imprinting his sexiness on Demon Chicks for Centuries to come.
Jinka and Tama face no goddamn consequences for their shit
Oh fuck this shit
Because Shinsuke saved them
...He was too good for this world.
Nah, she "feels more at home" meaning she got daughterzoned.
His soul is probably inside of one of Hanatora's special "swords".
But it would be nice to see more Hyakki stories. It would be interesting to see Hinode visit Hanatora.
I was wondering what the fuck was it with the eyepatch, but then I realized it's probably because is brother died and the fairy eye thing could only do so much on an immortal demon.
Shinsuke's soul inside the gourd
It wouldn't be punishment then, it would just turn into a therapist gourd.
Tama and Jinka go on a journey to free Tama's soul from the deal with the mountain bitch
Nobody cares about Shinsuke being in the same predicament
Isn't it the therapist gourd though? Shinsuke would never advocate punishment.
I'd find it more likely that he'd be made into a sake cup or something. But I guess if he felt edgy enough he could just mind rape Hanatora and steal her body.
Now the question is which came first, the death of his brother or the loss of his eye?
Fire and Water
Not East and Rune
You know, looking back, there's a ton of absolutely terrible character writing that's disguised with a quick gag.
Friend in a coma
Go and chase boyfriend
Nothing interesting comes out of it
Usually shounen characters are all like "muh nakama > love interest". By shounen definition Tama is like the antichrist or hitler.
Shinsuke would never advocate punishment.
He tried to kill Yazen at the very end.
Wrong type of "sword" user. I'm thinking of the vibrating kind.
Also, the demons are supposed to receive the suffering they've inflicted on others so they can reflect on their actions. A Shinsuke gourd would be a support gourd.
;__; I will miss this. So fucking much. But this ending was just so complete.
Yes, I am.
Quite aware but the two I went with had more solid connections. Spacey is obvious but since Earth was manning Koko, Wind was trying not to be a dick that left only one option for who sent Rei Vann's way.
The man has time now. I'm sure he'll have an itch to scratch with Hyakki now that Sengoku Youko's over.
You'll experience all the things you've been doing to other people.
Therapist would be someone helping the demons, this is just sticking the demons in an isolated room and doing to it what it did to other people. Seem like punishment to me.
To be fair, she's a demon, demons are whimsical creatures.
Yazen is a human and Shinsuke probably left him alive on purpose. The "precise injuries making it so Yazen can't do experiments" seems extremely fishy, since we know Shinsuke has the ability to see through illusions.
Demons aren't to blame for eating humans, it's a sort of meth addiction and they shouldn't be punished for it, that was Shinsuke's conclusion.
demons are whimsical creatures.
As if. Snow whore is holding a 200 year crush.
Tama and her mom are the only whimsical ones.
Seriously tho. Shinsuke and Yazen got more dialogue and closure than Shinsuke and Shakugan.
Fine, Kitsune are whimsical creatures.
Setsu is pure you fuck
Therapist would be someone helping the demons, this is just sticking the demons in an isolated room and doing to it what it did to other people.
Shinsuke would be disappointed at ye Kazematsuri's 4th head.
Setsu fell in love because nobody had invented bleach yet and cotton hadn't made it to japan either.
I'm sure he would have heard about Yazen from Tama or Jinka as well, and we know he died of the deadly Japanese cold
Pure as the driven snow.
After being plowed repeatedly.
Just like how Senya was glad Jinka went crazy, because he could meet Shinsuke, Shinsuke was probably glad Yazen was batshit because he got to meet Shakugan.
Wasn't it obvious?
I always though WR was behind most of the mountain bitch posting
She likes the color white and back in those days there was really no pure white clothing, or even hair for that matter (since people died while they were graying)
They were already covered in the second last chapter though. They had kids, lived to long enough to go senile, loli has his soul and Shaku doesn't have to go through outliving their kids. All Yazen gets is the deadly japanese cold in a mention.
By that point I don't think Shinsuke would have settled for half measures anymore. Yazen literally caused nearly all his loved ones to suffer.
I thought so too myself. I've been using the images in these threads to see if anyone would catch on.
But Fortuna did everything wrong.
It's funny because him also having Silver Hair and all, Fubuki looked alot like Senya.
Senya didn't really do a good job in the end, since he turned 1000 unique demons with individual personalities into a conformed mass congregation with no semblance of individuality. Kinda twisted if you ask me.
They became chill and followed Senya of their own accord. Senya didn't brainwash them or anything.
Besides, if those GENIUS! sessions are anything to go by, each of them still think independently.
They were already covered in the second last chapter though.
They literally weren't tho
I assume that it's just the appearance that change for the demons, it just show that they're united and are fully supporting Senya's action. Don't forget that the 1,000 demons also look like one mass before Senya convince them to follow him aswell, they were just mass of dark shadow. Beside, they still keep their individual personalities, that's how they help give Senya different ideas during the fight against the Void.
What more do you need? Shinsuke got his happy ending and died with his harem of demons, gods and half-demon.
Here's what I mean, it's the same deal here before they turn into GENIUSES. The individual forms only appear when it need to I guess.
Why the fuck do I even read manga. I hate this. I hate feeling like this.
W-what do you think Hanatora ended up doing with Shinsuke's soul?
Actual writing and actual closure. Payoff to years of waiting. Not having literally every character just brushed off in some half assed rushed epilogue that makes Blade of The Immortal's epilogue seem well done.
It was better pre-timeskip
I see that Jinka is also shitposting in the modern age.
Shut up Jinka, nobody likes you.
I don't even know why I have a reaction images folder when I don't use them.
