Nathan Reed

Don't YOU ever post in my thread again without contributing.

Logan Long
Logan Long

shame a lot of sports series do this to the point where I just expect the protagonist to get BTFO at the end of the series every time

Benjamin Diaz
Benjamin Diaz

When the long-term villain joins the MC and they become best buddies.

Kayden Cox

Connor Wilson
Connor Wilson

Jace Clark
Jace Clark

Chill/calm/good-humored character gets serious
He fucks shit up

Wyatt Russell
Wyatt Russell

Raw fucking rage and brutal beatdowns that follow

Carson Hill
Carson Hill

Raki
complete and utter badass

He still gets bent over and spread by any Claymore with 1 hand. I actually liked that, good change from the usual cliche's where some guy goes off training and gains fucking superpower out the ass.

John Morris
John Morris

This, best shit. There's a reason I didn't miss a single episode of DBZ as a kid when they fought Frieza for almost an entire year.

Actually the reason I liked DBZ so much, no stupid motivational speeches or gay ass philosophy, the way to get over the obstacle is to get fucking pissed and break through it.

Parker Scott
Parker Scott

You forgot to add
pic unrelated

Christian Diaz
Christian Diaz

The only thing I love is when awful characters get the deaths they deserve

I absolute detest when they just walk away, fuck that. The rest of the series resolution has to be fantastic for me to overlook it

Ryder Evans
Ryder Evans

they turned out to be best bros after as well

Josiah Jackson
Josiah Jackson

It's been awhile since I read it, but didn't he become the strongest human?

James Gonzalez
James Gonzalez

Also the fucking best how many times has this happened? I can't think of many

Xavier Roberts
Xavier Roberts

In Kongou Bancho half of beaten villains turn into reliable friends.

Luis Kelly
Luis Kelly

He did, by far too. However he was still only barely able to disarm an 8-12 year old little girl Claymore who hadn't even been fully trained yet.

He did kill normal yoma though if I recall correctly, which is more than any human has ever done. He's still far below any Claymore though, let alone the ones with out of control powerlevel creep towards the later parts of the manga.

Cooper Thompson
Cooper Thompson

Yea that was really the only good thing about Bancho. I still don't get how they turned into 1000 foot tall beings and punched each other around the earth.

Angel Cox
Angel Cox

Tropes

Fuck off.

Luke Thomas
Luke Thomas

I still don't get how they turned into 1000 foot tall beings and punched each other around the earth.
They are literally an apex of all life on a planet.

Justin Murphy
Justin Murphy

That still doesn't explain the bullshit reasoning behind it. Also if they are they apex more then one of them should be able to existed at full power without destroying the earth. Fuck even one if he's not careful would kill the planet.

Cameron Gonzalez
Cameron Gonzalez

I haven't seen this trope in a while but its the one where the main character gets tormented by another character. You get a whole bunch of episodes about how this antagonist is making the mains life a living hell... only later when you get into the grit of it you learn that antagonist actually used to care about the main but they were/felt betrayed in some way

Jaxon Sanders
Jaxon Sanders

You mean rapist. The dude deserves to suffer.

James Hernandez
James Hernandez

Edgelords with dead parents. MUH VENGEANCE. Also I really enjoy stoic MCs here and there.

Oliver Diaz
Oliver Diaz

strong character is introduced in a series
actually loses power throughout the story because of a lack of training or injuries he may have gotten

Thomas Moore
Thomas Moore

Same way as how dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Gabriel Butler
Gabriel Butler

GTO

Jordan Walker
Jordan Walker

that kid
Badass

Literally weaker than everyone else in the series. Even the weakest could kill him.

Ian Wright
Ian Wright

Asspulls done right

I won't know if they were done right until they're actually pulled, but I fucking loved it.

Grayson White
Grayson White

MC relies on traps in order to win

Bonus points for being over the top

Gabriel Gomez
Gabriel Gomez

villain of an early arc is actually far stronger than most of the cast at that point
MC only wins because of either certain circumstances or because of having an ability that lets him counter the opponent's
said villain becomes an aloof ally in later arcs and shows how strong they really are against the newer, more powerful enemies

Jason Mitchell
Jason Mitchell

Raymundo was kinda shit too but it was nice seeing Omi get so BTFO

Josiah Miller
Josiah Miller

I also loves this, OP.

Sadly it almost never happens, specially with MCs.

Juan Lopez
Juan Lopez

Standoffish and more pragmatic character of the group decides to sacrifice himself so the rest can escape/complete the mission
MC stops him and tells him that they will all go home together
"MC-kun, baka..."

Camden Sullivan
Camden Sullivan

the TROPE where I get some natty dubs
