First, check if 'for life' means 'for life'. Read the fine print.

If it is, I'd probably still finish my PhD, take a year off to travel a bit and relax. Then think about buying property, starting my own business, or just a get a tiny part-time job and use the rest of the time to pursue passion projects.

Same as OP, I'm set to get about 30K euro a year and I'm not sure how to fill in the rest of my life(not counting what I get from what's on the bank that I'll inherit).
Work a low end job while still earning more than someone who went to college?
Go to college since I'll pay it off easy and earn even more?
Not sure desu

Bullshit. If you have 40k per year coming in, regardless of your job - you could keep going about having a normal job, and have 100% of the inheritance going towards the mortgage.

That'll give you a nice apartment or house.

Dude, buy property in a 3rd world country.

Don't believe all the bullshit racist that larpers post here. Traveling or living as an American in Colombia or Dominican Republic is one the most awesome things ever. All the women want you and will do anything to keep you. They are gorgeous and will fuck you all night, cook dinner and breakfast for like $20. They only make $10/month or so in DR, and in Colombia they all want a gringo and it doesn't matter about money because they are avoiding all the local drug dealers.

True redpills know to USE their privilege. Not complain or defend it on stupid image boards.

My boys went down once a month for a decade and fucked almost every island bitch. I literally fucked the first woman I talked to the same day, within hours.

get 40,000/annum
literally can put 11k away annum for both IRA's
invest in stocks after taking a course at a community college about personal finance and investments
learn to average 8%, on par with everyone else
assuming age 20, by year 38 he'll have doubled the money twice over
enough to provide even more income
Don't pretend 40k/yr. is anything short of the best inheritance a competent person ever dreamed of. No lottery effect, just enough to elevate your life and give you all the options you need to be successful.

Me and my wife are both actual trust fund kiddies. We got ourselves a nice degree in stuff that actually interested us (rather than what is good for finding employment), then we spent a few years travelling. Now we stopped because children, and I'm considering going back to school for a phd, while she's getting all interested in all sort of community bullshit, whatever.
I've got people asking me if I don't get bored doing nothing "important" with my time, but honestly why the fuck would I care? My investments account alone does more to contribute to the economy than the average wageslave, and days always feel so short to me.

This, not necessarily real estate (though there is nothing wrong with it)

But yeah, you want to turn those riches in to wealth, and keep it going for generations.

And the best way is to invest it in land, property, businesses.
You could use stocks and shares, but personally I would rather not have to depend on someone I don't know, have never met, being honest and hard working for my returns.

And for that option the income stream is great for going to a gang-controlled place. If you're held up and forced to type your PIN number into a machine, they still only get what you have saved in that account, and you'll get new cash next month.

40k a year for life

Get yourself a job that pays about 80k/year. Find a wife that makes at least 60k/year. Use that 40k/year to fund the purchase of a shopping center. Make your money work for you. 40k/year that's disposable is a blessing to take some risks in life.

I inherited around $100k earlier this year. Invest every dime. Not yourself, seek help from a financial advisor. I went with Raymond James because they only charge fees on your capital gains. If they don’t make you any money, then they don’t get paid. I’ve had my money invested with them for 3 months and they’ve made me $15k already. I highly recommend them.

make natural not chemical chocolate (goat milk, camel milk, deer milk for protein bars, different ingredients)
undercut Hershey's with cheap prices you can afford since you can subsidize your own business
purchase train
ride around the state stopping in communities to promote American pride along with aggressive chocolate marketing
slowly erode Hershey's monopoly on American chocolate
build a name for myself as a proud American philanthropist who wishes to bring back American jobs and healthy non-GMO foods and chocolates
utilize profits from name recognition to acquire media outlets and self fund new television stations
use power & influence local elections to promote pro American candidates and promote them with the previously mentioned chocolate train
turn my state red
implement laws detrimental to large corporations damaging Hershey's further
legalizes the enslavement of midgets for chocolate factory purposes
dominate the chocolate market for generations

Well 40k per year isn't enough to live on as a civilised human being. So firstly I'd be looking on how to turn that 40k into something more appropriate.

What were you doing with your life up until now? I wouldn't tell another soul that you have 40k coming to you every year, you'll just attract leeches. If you are in university, I would continue with that and live as you more or less as you have been.

If you must do a passion project make sure it's gives you something valuable regardless of success.

Jonathan Diaz
Jonathan Diaz

Right, and if a poor person does the same he is a parasite and scum.
A poor person literally can't do the same, you mong. A rich person's income comes from capital which he *already owns* either in the form of productive businesses or money that he lends to other businesses instead of spending it. In exchange he gets a small amount of the total revenue of the businesses (the vast majority goes into the business itself in the form of production costs and wages) or profit of the borrower respectively. His money works and contributes massively to the economy, whereas a gibsdrinker is just a drag on it as he costs everyone else in the system money without contributing in any way. A business can afford to pay the one guy who made it possible a large amount of money in exchange, but it can't afford to pay every rando who wants a piece even a minimum wage simply because there are a thousand times more of them.

Spend the free time that you don't have to go to a "job" to learn skills and start a company. The company can be grown and provide income or sold for a win fall of cash. Repeat as often as you like. Read some entrepreneur books to get the idea of not trading time for money and making money while you sleep. Don't squander this opportunity, hindsight is 20/20.
