There is no german army at the moment. What you have going on right now there is an allied-installed occupational regime managing a part of the territory of the rightful german state, which is the German Reich in its 1937 borders.
This will all come to light soon enough too. Right now there are no organs which could constitute themselves and then execute the power of the Reich's legitimate authority, but something is definitely brooding. AfD became the largest party in Saxony during the ZOG elections.

What's way worse is the indocrtination of germans, starting in childhood, is that everything related to war and guns is pure evil and is to be frowned upon in every possible way. There is a widespread agenda called "Kein Werben für's Sterben", directly translated:"No advertisement for dying", which tries to accomplish that the Bundeswehr should not be allowed to get people to enlist in the army, especially in schools. Many people think of interventionism as a generally bad thing and have a very critical viewpoint of the Bundeswehr taking part in any offensive military operations (which we are not able to do for the most part, not in manpower, nor equipment-wise), the only acceptable environment where most people want to see them are humanitarian scenarios.
It is not so critically bad that we couldn't hold against poland or france, not implying that that's an accomplishment, but the German fighting force may very well be at an all time low.

Im sorry to dissapoint you but i wouldn't be so sure about Poland. True their budget is way lover than German but they bought a lot of new equipment in recent years, They have been also given a lot of equipment by U.S army and Polish army was fighting side-by-side with Americans in Iraq and in Afghanistan so they have quite huge combat experience.
(yes i know Germans also sent some troops to Afghanistan but they weren't allowed to shoot so they were only visiting local villages and giving away water bottles)

On the contrary, they give the government the right to control what they can say, what education and healthcare they receive, everything, without question. simple: they stopped accepting criminals while also declaring paramilitary training criminal. thus, the freikorps, the wehrsport-scene and the antifa, which previously produced most of germanys soldiers, were pretty much banned from the BW, leaving only the people to stupid to work anywhere else.
On the other hand, because of that, the paramilitary training has kept improving to the point where freikorps and antifa are better trained than army and police. I teach self-defense (including CQ gun use) and martial arts, and have more then once seen members of the freikorps defeat LEOs and soldiers (including SEK, the german swat) with ease. also, every g8 or g20 shows just how useless the police is against the antifa.
