reddit wants it

main organization pushing for net neutrality is owned by george soros

>reddit wants it so im must be bad
KEK you are too dumb to do your own research

There are these corporations holding monopolies called ISPs. And they are paying people to kill Net Neutrality. Which would give ISPs more freedom to rape their consumers.
Can you connect the dots?

Some companies will get preferential treatment. It undermines the democratic intent when the internet was started. Facebook and google are already ultra powerful. Corporations are taking over everything

It's bad for inovation.

The US was under the assumption that net neutrality laws applied for 30 years going. It wasn't until Verizon won a lawsuit about it that the rules no longer applied to them. They promptly began fucking everyone over:

2005 - Madison River Communications: Blocked VOIP services before the FCC put a stop to it.

2007 - Comcast: Caught forging packets to interfere with user traffic
eff.org/deeplinks/2007/10/eff-tests-agree-ap-comcast-forging-packets-to-interfere

2007-2009 - AT&T: Blocked Skype and other VOIP services which competed with their cellphone plans

2011 - MetroPCS: Tried to block all streaming except YouTube

2011 - Multiple ISPs: Caught hijacking search traffic to increase affiliate revenue
eff.org/deeplinks/2011/07/widespread-search-hijacking-in-the-us

2011-2013, AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon: Blocked access to Google Wallet because it competed with their bullshit
freepress.net/press-release/99480/att-blocking-iphones-facetime-app-would-harm-consumers-and-break-net-neutrality

2012 - Verizon: Demanded Google block tethering apps on Android because it let owners avoid their $20 tethering fee. This was despite guaranteeing they wouldn't do that as part of a winning bid on an airwaves auction.

2012 - AT&T - tried to block access to FaceTime unless customers paid more money.

2013 - Verizon: Literally stated that the only thing stopping them from favoring some content providers over other providers were the net neutrality rules in place.

In the short term, net neutrality seems good, but in the long term its honestly dangerous as it is in the GOVERNMENTS HANDS. This is a discussion of Government or Corporate Control. Which jew do you trust more? There are so many facets to this topic it will probably make your brainlet head spin. A simple redpill is impossible.

This, so its probably bad.

Plus Trump doesn't like it so its probably really bad. Just don't think about it critically.

Prove it. Give me a single "innovative" idea that could be created by allowing ISPs to control what content you can and cannot see.

>ISP blocks Sup Forums and VPNS
>user creates a bypass that any dumbfuck can use by making a VPN replacement
>Anons on ISP can bypass the block

Is life as a brainwashed puppet good?

Lemme explain it in terms Sup Forums understands

(((ISPs))) installed one if their former chief executives as head of the FCC by bribing the administration. Said head of the FCC literally stated he wouldn't listen to the public on this claiming they are uninformed and is trying to enable ISPs to legally fuck over people worse than what my country currently had to deal with.

The best part is you tards posting in support of it don't realise that you wont be able to post here without paying for it and your ISP can and willblock any access to VPNs specifically so you are forced to pay their fees.

>implying you'll be able to access Sup Forums from the VPN

Which of these 3 scenarios is going to result in more anti-government websites being shut down?

Spoiler: It's the one where there is no net neutrality

I said VPN replacement, not a new VPN. Nice strawman.

IDK WHAT TO THINK!???? SOM PPL SAY IT GOOD
OTHER SAY IT BAD
I DONT KNOW. IT IS LIKE HTERE IS A SPLIT IN MY BRAIN???????

WHAT DO THINK. HLEP??? HLEP?????

>you wont be able to post here without paying for it

citation needed.

It's something we wouldn't need if consumers had several ISPs to choose from. It's a consequence of all the regulations that make it difficult for people to open new ISPs that compete with companies like Comcast.

In a completely de-regulated market, we wouldn't need net neutrality because companies that screw their customers over would lose their customers to ISPs that compete better.

I've been trying to piece this together but it's all such a confusing clusterfuck.
At the moment I feel this way: abolish net neutrality. Far more likely than the meme internet packages is companies paying ISPs to push their traffic so they BOTH make money. Netflix gets more expensive and google is a bit less profitable; porn sites get more expensive and lots of free porn sites die and ads on the remaining become more valuable, but otherwise things stay the same.
If censorship arises we fight that as a singular issue rather than an enormous tome of a law. It can be one sentence long:
>No censorship of lawful material.

If Net Neutrality stays, the government will regulate that ISPs cannot charge different prices for different sets of sites, destroying the need for innovation
If Net Neutrality is abolished, ISPs will be able to charge you for packages, like cable. This would encourage growth and technological advancement(fibre, quantum link, etc.)
I would love to see NN abolished, just to see the potential chaos. I think that it would be funny as hell. Like a nuclear bomb, but for the internet.
Also, plebbit supports it

This taiwanese recipe board will be over if it ends

Once its gone you'll be luck if you can access Sup Forums, infowars, breitbart, etc at all.
if you can you'll likely have to pay a premium

but Sup Forums manchildren are against it because reddit likes it so it must be bad

And other monopolies such as Google and Facebook want preferential treatment of not paying more for the bandwidth they soak up from ISPs and thus want net neutrality. Get rid of it and pit the two groups against each other.

I dont suppose you understand. No Net Neutrality, means alot of autists are now shut off from places where they are able to blow steam. It legitimately sets the civil war bomb on pressure cooker mode. No Net Neutrality speeds up the collapse, nigger.

...

if only we lived in a place where guns were stupidly easy to get for the specific intent of combating tyranny

do you support our anti-trust laws? Do they work? There's your answer on why net neutrality is complete garbage. More government interference.

Basically turns the internet from capitalism to socialism, it'll hinder it's evolution

People who support net neutrality complain about hypothetical but improbable catered internet service packages on a per website basis, while paying monthly for individual online services anyway, just to individual companies instead of their ISP. Because they are fucking stupid and easily manipulated.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

>innovation
Innovate bandwidth, but websites you want to access are now blocked. Genius plan.

In a single line
>Absence of net neutrality allows ISPs (that are essentially monopolies already) the freedom to charge what the fuck they want for what they want
It's gon rekt yo' shit.

> Romania didn't have it until June of this year and still had the BEST internet in the west
> Corporate shills want it
> Reddit too
> Libs too

This is THE best shill tactic ever used here.
Just say that reddit likes the opposite of what you want and you'll instantly have Sup Forums doing your shilling for you for free.

...

This may be the ONLY time I'd probably side with George Soros.

Did I? I want to see everything go to shit, the faster we can get autists off Sup Forums, the faster that we can start this war and gas the kikes and their useful idiot pawns.

"if they could do us wrong, we wouldn't have elected them in the first place, right? yessir, trust in the judgement of other people to know what's best for me. It's the american way!" ~ nathaniel vargas

You just got manipulated by the fucking ISPs!

but they do want it

Holy shit

As shown by Stormfront, if the tech cabal decides that a website should no longer be allowed to exist, they can make that happen regardless of existing FCC regulation.

FCC will also order states to scrap plans for their own net neutrality laws
arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/11/fcc-will-also-order-states-to-scrap-plans-for-their-own-net-neutrality-laws/

>govt control
>big jew corporation control
There is no difference, but the latter will accelerate the future happening, thus it must be done.

imagine being this simple minded and thinking everything is black and white

you'll see soon enough

seeit will only become easier

Soros wants nn
So it is bad

Are you autistic, who the fuck can enforce net neutrality if not the government. Might as well let corporations write laws directly and cut out the middleman

Are you an idiot and dont think that those companies already pay for bandwidth? Net neutrality is about not being restricted in how you use your bandwidth and that you don't get charged extra depending on which address you send/receive data from. You don't get charged extra to send letters to a specific address while the house next door does, yes?

And they are correct in that.
But Sup Forums is so stuck in their blind reddit hate that they don't even consider that they may be right. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

net neutrality is something people post about and botnets too

There is a huge different, retard. Govt control isn't essentially retarded. It is corrupt, often. But if a miracle happens and the right people govern, then nothing all goes to shit. Corporate control, on the other hand, is essentially for profit. Corporations will NEVER do anything for you.

Soros breathes air

Go drown yourself

Thats already the case. I want to see shit fall apart anyway while I watch the cities burn from the hills.

It was nice knowing you non-moronic Americans. I guess we'll see each other again after The War.

This sounds like a not true communism argument. Corporations innovated that iphone X your stupid shitskin ass types on

>never do anything for you
but they will for a group of poeple, because as they are jewish, they want to soak up the most cash.

reversing it will make porn harder to get, so do the right thing, reverse it, user

>Net neutrality: A road network where everybody has equal right to drive on the road
and everybody obeys the same speed limit

>Net non-neutrality: Corporations can pay to get priority access to roads so only they and their customers can drive on them or drive as fast as they want.

If you guys think ending net neutrality is a good idea you are dumb fucktards. This is the point where you point out the flaws in my analogy.

10th amendment... going back to the US constitution

Only so they could charge for the new iphone Y. The government can't profit off people unless it's corrupt. Something designed to profit off you is always worse than something not designed to profit off you.

Cause the government workers do it for free. It's all about the goodness of their heart.

>a road network that is beaten in quality by romania
always britbongs

he wants it to collapse. he thinks this will be a step towards making it collapse.

>romania also has other regulations in place to protect consumers

Think about it

don't want to be "that guy", but you're misinformed

>And they are correct in that.

no

/thread

>Corporations can pay to get priority access

Your analogy is flawed because the ISPs will gouge the shit out of both the corporations and the customers individually.

>shitskin
Lol. Amerimutt

It's a Communist idea

>Some vehicles, like those carrying oversized loads or trucks filled with rocks cause considerably more wear and tear on the roadways than passenger cars. But, because everybody has the same access to the same road, everybody pays the same toll even though a small portion of the traffic creates the bulk of the need for road repairs.
K

>In a completely de-regulated market, we wouldn't need net neutrality because companies that screw their customers over would lose their customers to ISPs that compete better.

Dream on. Ever heard of an oligopoly? That's what this scenario boils down to. A few big providers split up the market among themselves and take turns in screwing the consumer. And you a hundred shekels, sites that are controversial or go against the mainstream business agenda won't get any bandwith. Because the big players that pay will OWN the internet. Government regulation certainly isn't ideal and we all know how governments have their own way of screwing people over - but it's still the better scenario, trust me. Censorship today is different from what it used to be in Soviet Russia, it comes by the tyranny of the mainstream and is funded by $$$.

STOP PUTTING BANDAIDS ON BULLET HOLES

BUILD MORE ISP INFRASTRUCTURE TRUMP

/thread

The internet is the only place where people can freely exchanged information to the masses, so naturally the Jews want to control it. Just like they control the six corporations that control 90% of American media, they also want that kind of control over the internet.

fuck out of here Mohammed

kill yourself

Net neutrality bill gives the government control of the internet.

Thinking the net neutrality bill will guarantee net neutrality is like believing the patriot act will make you a patriot.

or that the DPRK is a democracy

>ISPs will gouge the shit out of both the corporations and the customers individually
This makes a difference how? Corporations like Google, Netflix and Facebook will pay up from their lunch money.

>Thinking the net neutrality bill will guarantee net neutrality is like believing the patriot act will make you a patriot.
So well fucking put.

Excellent rebutal. Time to grab the old Browning BPS and shoot myself in the back of the head with it.

the vote won't pass, there are too many people in opposition to it

Pretty much giving ISP's free reign to control and meter content... If this is not a genuine concern to you.. you don't understand it ...

Because it'll come directly out of the consumer's pocket too.

so you're saying you'd be a shabbos goy by friday if reddit went full 1488 tomorrow. fuck off with your bullshit.

the meltdown from this will be worse than 2016 election

hurry up

because it's true you fucking dribbler

better than government control

>And I'll bet you a hundred shekels...

>Net neutrality bill gives the government control of the internet.
It already has it, and we're still here. Give it to (((corporations))) and you think it'll get better? Ask South American and African nations how privatization of utilities worked out for them.

he breathes air while he's fucking your pussy faggot

Inb4 "muh free market will sort itself out eventually this country is better"

>because you're paying for Google and Facebook today
u wot m8

And you're basically making my point for me. If supposedly Google gets rekt, what do you think is going to happen to places like the chans?

corporations do much better to increase quality than the gooberment ever will. Look at Switzerland ffs. Decentralized government, corporations are king.. amazing quality of life

who you gonna gouge for cash, the big corporation with a bunch of kike lawyers or joe from iowa that just wants to jack off to cuckold porn and watch netflix?

Are you really going to play that card?

How is it govt controlled ?
