Call your local representative. Threaten to not vote for him in the next election if he doesn't vote no on repealing net neutrality. If you think that doesn't work, there is nothing congressmen fear more than not being reelected.

Unironically for it. The internet was a mistake

I'm for it. I like the internet how it is.

What's the argument for repealing it

Can't make a credible decision without knowing both sides

too many shills
not enough info

I am against it because it makes liberals and Nu males asshurt which makes me kek.

I want it repealed unless and only if all non-illegal content, speech and opinions must be treated neutrally by all internet companies.

Where's the "i don't care" option? There's Google on one side and ISPs on the other. Am I supposed to pick the lesser of two evils? Google censors everything it doesn't like. Yea, those ISPs probably are better

Corporations can easily monopolize the information you get and where you get it if net neutrality dies.

That's all this is. It's corporations trying to put a choke hold on your information flow and then charging you through the ass for it.
See
UUNET
Level 3
Verizon
AT&T
Qwest
Sprint
IBM
these companies one way or another make the internet work. What they can't do at the moment is charge you more money for going to different sites.

Now if net neutrality is gone, they can charge you more money for going to different sites.

That's all it is.

then you're against net neutrality. from the 90s until 2015 there was no net neutrality.

It's been in place for ~2 years fag

I'm for repealing it, here's why:
>Takes Power away from the government
>It wasn't in effect until 2015... the internet was just fine before then
>every single subreddit has the exact same picture and a top post opposing the repeal, which makes me very suspicious that their is a large organization behind this
>Trudeau is against repealing, which also makes me suspicious

Sage all spam. For what Soros is paying you, you could at least get a new picture.

...

All that I know is that however bad its going to hurt me, for sure its going to hurt niggers far worse.

Call your local representative. Threaten to not vote for her in the next election if she doesn't vote yes on repealing net neutrality. If you think that doesn't work, there is nothing congresswomen fear more than angry niggers chimping out.

Well it's been good to me for the last 2 years, so I'm for it.

Continue salivating over corporate cock

oy vey, shut it down

They can't vote on it, it's a vote for the FCC only and there's 5 seats for it. They're voting whether to give up their own power willingly.

And for those of us who aren't children, the internet was good to us for the decades prior to 2015.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_neutrality_in_the_United_States

that's not true at all. There was no clear cut single law, but the people who ran the internet made it a rule of net neutrality.

They tried to kill net neutrality in 2014, so they drafted a Law spelling out clear rules.

Jesus how much do you get paid for this shit

seriously, read it. NN is the dems trying to regulate the internet. the endgame isn't "speed for everyone." It's CENSORSHIP. It's the fairness doctrine for the net. It's forcing Drudge offline with copy write law. Everyone is talking about speed but the next thing you know it will be full blown censorship of certain sites.

FCC Head Ajit Pai: Killing Net Neutrality Will Set the Internet Free
reason.com/blog/2017/11/21/ajit-pai-net-neutrality-podcast

>Nick Gillespie: Okay. Let's get right to it. The big fear that many net neutrality proponents have is that once you let internet service providers and wireless carriers do whatever they want, the internet is going to turn into something worse than cable TV with some content being pushed over others because the parent company owns it, Comcast and Universal, that type of thing. Other content is going to be choked off because they're not paying enough to get best service right to the end, or it's just going to be completely blocked. Why is that wrong?

>Ajit Pai: It's wrong for two different reasons. First, it's not the experience we had before these regulations were imposed in 2015. We were not living in some digital dystopia before then when ISPs were blocking lawful content. Secondly, we require under this proposal to require ISPs to be transparent about their business practices. If they're blocking or throttling or doing any of that, they have to disclose it. Secondly, we empower the Federal Trade Commission to take aggressive action based on its consumer protection and competition authorities to take action against cases like that. If it's network operator preferencing its own content, that's something the FTC can look at. If it's other companies blocking other content.

the change in policy is a big nothing burger. the net was neutral before obama, it will remain that way for all intents and purposes. facebook and google have enough money to sustain their business model. If comcast manages to put them, twitter, netflix, amazon, youtube and every porn website on the planet out of business I will be pretty shocked. and if they did, there would be enough disruption to gaurantee new businesses would pop up to take their place. if you think the web as it stands today is really neutral or free, you're a naive fool.

Call your local representative. Threaten to not vote for her in the next election if she doesn't vote yes on repealing net neutrality. If you think that doesn't work, there is nothing congresswomen fear more than angry niggers chimping out.

>Ajit Pai and the FCC want it to be legal for Comcast to block BitTorrent
>theverge.com/2017/11/22/16691794/net-neutrality-fcc-ajit-pai-comcast-block-bittorrent

Anyone who advocates for gutting NN is a fool or a Comcast kike absolutely slavering for this to happen. Stand strong, white men.
Do not let this poo in loo take your internet freedom.

No it's not. You people are remarkably stupid but it'll be funny when this thing backfires in your face.

They want to throttle the big sites. Netflix, Youtube, Facebook. Sites that take up way too much bandwidth. They're going to throttle these sites to make people that are currently using shit tier internet (like $20 a month for 3mb/s tier) upgrade to a more average plan. That's all this is. They're not going to start blocking sites, if they started to do that there would be lawsuits. If you already have decent internet there's no reason to freak the fuck out, this only affects niggers browsing cuckbook on their Obamaphones.

The fact that it is being shilled so fucking hard here makes me against it.
you guys are too fucking obvious.
so go ahead and start another , the 15th thread in the last 30min btw

Can shills like you give some actual reasons

Jesus Christ dude, at least do the minimal research. In 2015 the Obama FCC legally classified ISPs as "common carriers", which gave them complete control over the internet in the USA. Their FIRST action was 400 pages of internet regulation. Those two events are what is being referred to as "Net Neutrality" in this context. The FCC is voting to REPEAL THEIR OWN POWER THAT THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD IN THE FIRST PLACE. The internet should not be micromanaged by a tiny group of bureaucrats behind closed doors.

If you are for the end of net neutrality, you are in favor of a cable tv like 'pay to view' websites, and censorship altogether

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_neutrality_in_the_United_States

here actually read it.

We had net neutrality, we just didn't call it "net neutrality" we had guidelines in place designed to protect freedom of access to whatever sites. In 2014 they tried to kill that.
In 2015 we put up net neutrality to strengthen the stance.

If we Kill NN, 4 chan dies.

I don't think you want to pay an extra 30 bucks a month to see facebook or Sup Forums

...

WTF. Everyone operated under what is essentially net-neutrality then retard. Why? B/c of the FREE MARKET.

>They tried to kill net neutrality in 2014, so they drafted a Law spelling out clear rules.

Nick Gillespie: Final question, in your Wall Street Journal piece and elsewhere, and it's not just you, *people were very upset, regulators were upset as well as, well I was upset, when Barack Obama really hammered the then chair of the FCC to pass net neutrality. It's not quite unprecedented and it's not quite wrong, but he really got on a soapbox and said, "You know, you guys really have to do this and you have to get it done."* It seemed to have a direct effect. ***There's no question that Obama really squeezed what's supposed to be an independent commission.*** Would you push back if Donald Trump suddenly came to you and said, "You know what? Like I really need you to put net neutrality back or I want you to do something that you think would undermine the integrity of market based approaches and rule of law approaches to telecommunications policy."

Ajit Pai: I've said from day one since I became chair that this is an independent agency, that we will make our own decisions based on the facts as we find them and the law as we see and we'll call the shots accordingly. We're not going to let any political considerations from any quarter dictate or pressure us into making a decision that we truly believe is not in the public interest. I don't know about my other, the fellow commissioners, but speaking for myself, that's the one thing that gives our decisions credence in the eyes of the American people is that we're seen as the experts on communications issues, not as political actors that sway with the wind depending on who's weighing in.

i dont need you policing my opinions you big lipped ape

Which didn't happen prior to 2015, fearmongerer. If you are in favor of giving a tiny group of bureaucrats complete control over the internet, you are literally retarded and should not be on the internet in the first place.

>Later, Pai says Comcast blocking BitTorrent could have been challenged under antitrust and consumer protection laws on a case-by-case basis
Fucking headline is misleading.

Kys for posting this.

You..you are so stupid.

Lol. You didn't even read the history. You just greentexted some shit like an asshole

How much are you being paid?

I’m gonna call and threaten him if he doesn’t vote YES

Nobody believes your fucking copy pastas. Stay on topic or fuck off. We're talking about the FCC revoking power than was given to them in 2015 by the Obama administration. Sup Forums existed before 2015 and it will continue to exist. Seriously, how old are you? This board is for adults only.

It's basically (((Google))) vs (((Comcast))).

Don't fall for the trap! They're all out to get you!

Reminder that you were warned about Trump being anti-net neutrality and this is entirely your fault. I hope you enjoy losing your access to this shit board and all the places you organize online.

Essentially that everyone defending it has no idea what it is they're defending.

I also want it repealed to piss off those people. I could explain why it's not a great idea, but I've already done so about a dozen times in the last two days.

No, It's the (((FCC))) vs ALL ISPs. You can either have 2500+ ISPs calling the shots and open more doors forcompetition, or you can go the retard route of giving a tiny group of unelected and unaccountable (((bureaucrats))) complete control over the internet and call it "Net Neutrality" like a lying faggot.

So we let the government control our information. What could go wrong there?

they already censor free speech on everything Facebook reddit even steam so fuck it some nerd fag is always looking to ban someone they disagree with they don't deserve a connection

I wish we could just ship all libertarians off to their own island so they can run their own libertarian hellhole without fucking over real people with their """"""free market"""""

>2500+ ISPs

dude, there's like 1, maybe 2 options in any given area for high speed internet. It's a monopoly

Protip: anyone on here shilling to end NN is a leftcuck and this anti-net neutrality is a raid. They are trying to trick you into censoring Sup Forums.

YOU DO NOT WANT NET NEUTRALITY TO END

Not an argument, faggot. Just think about how stupid you retards look. The Obama FCC seizes control over the internet, the FCC of the Trump administration (who is supposedly fascist) says "Woah! We don't want that power. Here, let us revoke it".. How do you stupid brainlets respond? YOU BEG THEM TO KEEP THE POWER THEY THEMSELVES THINK IS TOO MUCH. That is cuck behavior on another level.

And there is 1 FCC for all of America, which is made up of a handful of unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats. Want to continue down this road? I'll gladly go there.

To be fair, you have one government. And you don't even get a choice in it.

Why? Do you even fucking understand what NN is?

TAKE THE POO TO THE LOO

Net Neutrality protects my consumer rights, so I oppose the repeal.

Seriously please just ship yourself off so we can all watch how your awesome libertarian paradise plays out. I promise we'll send aid when you're all subjugated and starving.

I am against it. I wonder how many people have read the damn document. It's 300+ pages. Just how much power is contained in those 300+ pages. Also, look at country's who have the government control the net. China is the prime example.

Hit a nerve?

Sup Forums is contrarian echo chamber, if msm was screaming to keep net neutrality, Sup Forums would fight for it, if it was cool and hip to be Natsoc, you better believe we would be the most leftist bullshit website on the web.

>To be fair, you have one government. And you don't even get a choice in it.
how much of a brainwashed faggot you gotta be to believe this?

>Do you even fucking understand what NN is?
Yes, but go ahead and tell me why I want internet censorship and a cable tv like 'pay to view certain websites' internet.

Yes. I legitimately hate you. You're political cancer.

>if msm was screaming to keep net neutrality
Thanks for acknowledging that the media has been shilling for "Net Neutrality". That's far more than I expect from you dishonest brainlets.

that dude look so unhealthy

Not really split. Just a LOT OF SHILLS. Reddit is BTFO right now. They need 4chans feelteam 6. We are battling them here too. Posting pizzagate photos evey post you do makes them go away. Here user take this charm.

Just trust trump if youre unsure. Hes /ourguy/

Are you retarded? Educate yourself ffs
Dude there's maybe five big ISP in the US and because they purposefully don't compete with each other, they get a monopoly in any given area, hence why you have 1 maybe 2 ISP options

...

Special snowflakes want net neutrality to end, and websites will be blocked if they dont like them

yup. this is all true.

Zuckerberg is also freaking out & all the worst people in Silicon Valley

So are you.

A lot has changed since 2013 given the rise of progressiveness and their cancerous SJWs we now have to deal with them trying to censor anything under the sun for reasons that are getting more and more insane by the day.

It not hard to believe that if ISP can gain the rights to cut off or significantly slow down sites that SJWs won't push them to do it.

soros is actually a pretty cool guy

This is a complicated issue far beyond your gay infographic

reason.com/blog/2017/11/21/ajit-pai-net-neutrality-podcast

Net Neutrality doesn't give the government the powers you think it does. You can actually read the proposal from a couple years back if you want to learn what it actually is.

And I'd trust a government official over a corporate monopoly any day. I can at least vote out the government officials in power until they fix the FCC if it became an issue.

If youre on Sup Forums right now, then you are for net neutrality. If youre against it, kiss Sup Forums goodbye because 'problematic' websites are the first to go because we hurt people's feelings.

This is literally how America is being destroyed from within.

Kill yourself you fifth-column retard.

I'm glad I made you feel that way. What can I do to get your rage from a 9 to a 10? Convince you to name the handful of people on the FCC that you think should have complete control over the internet to save us from 2015? I'll do whatever it takes.

his fucking up the world and LITERALLY ruining Europe important Muslim migrants that rape women.

He's huge faggot that's going to kill Europe.

So you are saying companies WONT bow down to SJW an trottle down "offensive" websites. Great, I guess that solve that problem...

ajit-pai is an actual likely baby rapist

>Net Neutrality doesn't give the government the powers you think it does.

...YET.
Did you listen to Hillary Clinton at all the past year???

>Nick Gillespie: Would that be legal though, under these rules? And should it be legal?

>Ajit Pai: No, exactly. We're requiring it to be transparent and additionally to the extent that a company is unlawfully throttling traffic, the FTC can look into that. In fact, the last couple of years the FTC has done that with respect to a few wireless carriers that were allegedly throttling traffic. They said, "This is not a lawful practice. We're going to sanction you for it."

I don't know why you think it's an achievement that you're making people mad by being a self-destructive retard.

yeah because Trump gave the internet to comcast... see, it makes so much sense. Take that SJWs

As I explained to your other brainlet friends who have no idea what Net Neutrality is. We're specifically talking about the FCC reclassifying ISPs as common carriers in 2015, thus setting the legal precedent that the FCC now sets the rules for the internet. With that precedent, they wrote 400 pages of initial internet regulations. The trump FCC came along and told you brainlets that it's too much power for bureaucrats to have and begin the process of revoking it, and how do you respond? You fucking cry like babies and beg them to keep it.. The same administration most of you retards claim is fascist..

And Tom Wheeler was a fucking drunk psycho who could barely talk (who's going to fucking kill us btw)

youtube.com/watch?v=6psDKuRwedg

youtube.com/watch?v=L_0EkDEA0FE

I’m for net nutrality because the people who run the internet componies are kikes

you are right he was shit but at least he kept the internet neutral you fucking baby fucker

THANK YOU! Exactly.

I've been following this all at Reason magazine, but do you have any other resources/articles that clearly explain the net neutrality clusterfuck that we're about to kill?

Even if we did mske a wrong decision and they started going draconian it wouldnt be hard to just start A RAID AND FUCK THEM INTO SUBMISSION. also trump says NN should be protected and he hasnt wronged us. Hes genuine.

I like the way this thread is worded. It is stupid to be opposed to Net Neutrality. That isn't the issue. The issue is over Title II FCC regulation which is debatable. There are better means of regulating big telecom companies to keep the internet open but none are proposed. The people against Title II who support Ajit PAID are fucking idiot.

So in the end the government would have power over the internet, is just that now companies can cuck you out of the content. What was your point again?

I'm not John Podesta faggot. KYS

>it's too much power for bureaucrats to have
Yes, why give power to a third party when we can just let people who benefit directly write the rules themselves? What could go wrong?

I mean, at least it's not the GOVERNMENT, amirite? Because the GOVERNMENT is the GOVERNMENT, and everyone knows the GOVERNMENT is BAD and ALWAYS THE PROBLEM.

I'm sure glad we've been "de-regulating" everything, life has never been better for the middle class!

Those who are against net neutrality want this.

you pro NN retards have the gayest info graphics I've ever seen

Cognitive dissonance is what's making you mad. You know deep down that I'm right, but you can't admit it because you're committed to a political stance you don't understand. Not because you've logically reasoned yourself into it, but because you don't want to feel like a social outcast. That's the story of politics in general. You're a dime a dozen - the unthinking majority.

...
