The game is immensely hard during the first few segments, however once you get a feel for the game it becomes a lot more manageable. The sprite work and music in this game is incredible compared to lisa the painful, so much so that it feels like a sequel unlike lisa the joyful.

The design and artwork seems really top tier for a fan game, but I'm having a hard time getting past the trollish mechanics in The Pointless. Barely any money, harmful item pick-ups, quests that offer no reward, etc. I know it's meant to fit the atmosphere, but the gameplay was never the series selling point for me so it's feeling like a chore starting out.
Even The Painful had the option to ditch finite saves.

Garbage Island admittedly was pretty nasty. But anything off of it and you can annihilate everything you come across with a little RNG. Joel is significantly more helpful than most people give him credit for.

Also using Twisted Stance is fucking powerful. Who gives a shit about 100 HP? You can restore that with Sauce packets. Killing the enemy a while turn or two faster is dramatically more useful.
