After all the countless threads on mass defect andromeda it made me wanting to replay the ME trilogy after finishing it once in 2012 after starting in 2010. I swore to never replay as my shepard's story was finished, but here i am again. With all the DLC. So at least i know what i am in for now, rather than going blind like my first time.
I am trying to play as a war hero shepard that care about his soldiers below him but don't have much liking for bullshit and the council. Unsure if i really want to go Paragon or Renegade, which one did you play the game as and enjoyed the most? It seems like being an asshole shepard can create a lot of fun dialogue. Thanks for reading my blog and let us discuss the OT trilogy instead of Andromeda.
I'm doing male shepard again, is the female shepard even good? Pic related is my male, just arrived at the Citadel.
Go male if you're going paragon or female for renegade
Don't bother roleplaying and just gop full paragon/renegade, the game is meant to be played that way and you might miss some dialogue if you go neutral
Christopher Fisher
Problem with me not roleplaying is that it becomes sort of self insert and i sometimes feel bad for the things i do. Silly, i know. But i do think neutral was pretty much how i did my first playthrough, perhaps it is time to be a bit more fed up shepard this time.
Joseph Jenkins
Just remember, your choices don't actually matter in the end outside of causing Aesthetic differences in 2/3.
Ryder Carter
I've tried this too , but I can not go beyond Me2. just i can't.
Aiden Walker
Did affect some people that you meet, or don't meet. And certain small dialogue choices didn't it? Was having that bionic eye that you get, well at least it looks like it - something we got in the beginning of ME2 or if you went full paragon?
Easton Price
female shepard is the only shepard
Kayden Ross
thats were you are wrong kiddo.
Oliver Powell
Eh i enjoyed mass effect 2 but of course that was without being too swayed by the opinions here and playing it right after ME1 so it wasn't too terrible. Did take a long time before i finished it, so i enjoyed ME1 more.
Aiden Barnes
>Unsure if i really want to go Paragon or Renegade Full Renegade is never worth doing (except for the sake of humor) given how Bioware morality systems work unfortunately. There are no downsides to being an idealistic fairy who sucks everyone's dicks all the time and never makes hard choices, which renders all Renegade decisions moot.
Gabriel Allen
Naah, I think both are valid. Male Shepard is badass, female has a better voice.
Lincoln Johnson
Did you let anyone die in suicide mission? I always save them all and it feels kind of hokey
Blake Butler
I wish I could replay Mass Effect. Knowing what's in store at the end, just thinking about it sucks all my enthusiasm out. Towards the end of ME3, I couldn't wait to pop in ME1 and replay the whole thing all over again with different choices. After beating it and seeing the ending, I never played a Mass Effect game again. It sucks, Bioware RPGs used to be my cozy comfort games.
Robert Lopez
Go Renegon in ME1. Renegade dialogue, paragon major choices. Me2 fucked it up by tieing persuasion purely with paragon/renegade bar and making neutrality suck even more. One of the few things ME3 got right was allowing you to persuade regardless of slant, as long as you had gotten enough points.
Jayden Rogers
THE COUNCIL CAN KISS MY ASS
Ryan Ramirez
Post Sheps
Brayden Nelson
MShep kind of sucks at Renegade desu. He gets better in the sequels but for the first game his paragon voice acting is better.
Austin Morris
I don't think i lost anyone, as i mean to remember i followed a small guide on who it was smart to use. Plus i did all loyalty missions.
I never played with all the DLCs so perhaps with the mods ME3 has, and trying to do everything good i can at least pretend i get a semi good ending.
Thomas Jackson
Yeah outside of dialogue though the choices in ME1 meant nothing. Even if you kill that queen (Can't remember the species name because I've been trying to forget about ME all together.) they manage to genetically modify them and clone them into those pea shooters in 2/3.
Jaxon Murphy
>Did you let anyone die in suicide mission?
Yep. I could save them all, but when we replay i prefer leave behind one or two victims. Yes, i'm an edgy faggot.
Leo Harris
Renegade doesnt mean you have to be an asshole, but paragon really feels like the hero Sheperd, even though you dont get to kick a quarian in the balls in the 3rd game
Dylan Harris
Get mods, fag.
Carson Green
male shepard is the most boring and generic thing in video games, female shepard is canon
My intentiin was to play paragon first, then do another run as renegade. Just to get both sides of the story.
It was random that I chose a male default looks character first. So I just went with it.
By the time I'd finished my runthrough I felt so "connected" with my shepherd I genuinely didn't want to "ruin" it by running through again as a bastard. I still won't.
Maybe I should have done the renegade first.
I don't mind really. I enjoyed playing my shepherd and that's all that matters. Even now.
Nathaniel Carter
Thanks fag, i'll check it out
Kayden Ross
what's the most fun classes to replay the game as?
Daniel Hall
Most of the classes are a real slog until later levels since the cooldowns on powers are so godamn long. Adept is my personal fav, especially if you've played as soldier and can pick a second weapon to specialise in
Carter Roberts
Since this is an ME thread, is there any reason to replay the game on a higher difficulty? From my understanding it's pointless in ME1 because it just makes the NPCs more spongy, but what about ME2/3?
If you do Tali's recruitment mission on insanity in two you can get the Geth assault rifle, which is the second best AR in the game without the mattock
Ethan Bailey
Haven't played any of the games since I beat 3 but if I were to do it all again I would probably let the nigger die
Oliver Lopez
Male Shepard is good. Better than Female Shepard, atleast.
I went mostly Renegade in my last playthrough. The only Paragon actions were saving the colony on Feros and saving the Council. Still got the Renegade-themed ending.
Faster elevators are a must.
Same-Sex Romances has utility beyond allowing you to be a faggot - it makes it so you have to actively flirt with the humans for them to start wanting you.
Try Engineer or Adept. Going full tech/biotic can make squadmate choice important. My favorite is Engineer with assault rifle bonus spec.
I find it funny how this thread seems to be pretty decent so far. I guess the shitposters are too busy in Andromeda threads to care.
Matthew James
>Spacer >Ruthless >Renegade Only way to play this game
Thomas Peterson
Jennifer Hale's voice is just too airy and kind of cocky sounding. Mark Meer is so campy it's perfect.
Nolan Reed
yeah, me1 makes everyone damage sponges and m2/3 you get more enemies with shields or barriers along with more health and shit.
honestly, i dont see any reason to play it on a higher difficulty. unless you care about achievements for whatever reason.
Lucas Peterson
I really hate how you're basically forced to play either full paragon or full renegade in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. I try to make the decisions as I've would have done in Shepard's shoes, and most of the time it means I chose the paragon option. But damn, sometimes the force is justifiable and I just want to chose the renegade option, but nope, can't do that or I will be punished.
Ian Davis
Hows Infiltrator? In any of the games?
Landon Long
Adept lets you be a full retard space wizard. >tfw launching an enemy into orbit
Nathaniel Powell
Really fucking fun in 2. One of the sniper rifles is OP as fuck.
Zachary Sanchez
I usually just console myself to full Charm/Intimidate and Paragon/Renegade scores these days. Helps let me roleplay Shepard more freely.
Matthew Jones
Disappointing. All 3.
Zachary Russell
Just make peace that your choices don't matter in the long run.
James Morales
Damn, I've never actually thought of this. Could be a great way how to replay the series, since I've already beaten it once, not like I'm going to ruin anything.
Adam Garcia
It's incredibly effective, but also really repetitive because you basically have one trick, and that's cloak+headshot over and over and over again for all of ME2 and ME3.
Nicholas Edwards
He looks real close to my old Shepard. Cept he isn't as perpetually angry.
Parker Garcia
There isn't really that much that you can do with the character creator anyway with the graphics so that was the best i could do. But i suppose he does look a bit angry in that picture
Ryder Ramirez
Masochism. It´s all atrocious bullet sponge shit, there's zero reason to play the higher diffs unless you enjoy playing whack a mole from cover for hours.
Jack Reed
femshep is canon. maleshep looks like discount jason statham
Matthew Nelson
I recently started an Infiltrator, and it felt more fun in ME1 than it does in ME2. Like said, all you do is cloak+headshot. It also feels like I have no shields in ME2. They always get taken out near instantly. I might just be retarded, though.
Levi Adams
Nah pretty much all promo material has Male Shep, so if anything that's canon. Trying to define canon for a mass effect game is retarded tho so whatever.
Seeing the ending credits after completing mass effect 1 for the first time, after having never played a game like that before was fantastic. I wonder if Andromeda is worth playing by the time i finish the trilogy again now.
Jackson Reyes
>Still have to buy ME 2's and 3's dlc all separately at a combined cost much higher than both games
Only thing stopping me from playing them again really. I just pirated the dlc back in the day but with public trackers being dead I got nothing.
Isaac Turner
A private torrent site i use have a torrent consisting of all three games with all of the DLCs with a 1 click install for each of the games. Very convient and easy to use. I can give you a invite to the site if you want too.
