Capcom finally fixes SFV

Matchmaking Improvements
>For most players, it will take less time to find an opponent in online matches. Matchmaking logic will help players avoid being frequently matched with the same opponent.

Ranked and Casual Match Loading Times
>There will be a shorter transition when going into a Ranked or Casual match.

Interactive Timeline
>On the new CFN home menu, a live feed of Friends’ activities will be presented on an interactive Timeline. Using the Timeline, players can immediately add a recent match to their Replay List, view a Fighter Profile, manage Friends, and adjust Timeline display settings.

Friend Management System
>In addition to adding someone to Favorites, players can now blacklist players or add friends and follow them on CFN.

“Rage Quit” Penalty System
>Special “rage quit” player profile icons will appear on profiles with frequent disconnections. Matchmaking logic will take into account online behavior and frequent disconnectors will be matched with similar opponents.

Training Mode – User Settings Saved
>Training Mode settings will be saved and will carry over to the next time the mode is accessed.

Battle Lounge Country Flags
>Country flags will appear in Battle Lounges, allowing players to locate competition in their region.

Country / League Based Rankings
>Players will be able to filter leaderboards based on Country or League.

In-Game Announcer Voice
>The in-game announcer will provide players and opponents with stats using data pulled from the server.

Fighter Profile Stats
>More detailed stats will be tracked and presented on Fighter Profiles.

also I don't get this, is it gonna be some kind of free trial for the game?
>Today, Capcom announced that it will be offering PC players a free glimpse into several new features and enhancements coming to Street Fighter V’s Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) online experience. Beginning on March 28th at 1pm PST / 9pm GMT and running to April 3rd at 12pm PST / 8pm GMT, current and new Street Fighter V players will be able to experience the improved CFN system and test out the new Season 2 balance adjustments for free.

>This trial offer will be limited to Steam users and will only feature online modes, but will be completely free to play for both current and new players. All available characters, including the recently-released Kolin, will be unlocked for play. Once the test is concluded, Capcom will make further adjustments to optimize the new CFN and it will make its official release to both PS4 and PC players soon after.

Who cares? Only diehards care about this shit now. The business model was completely retarded. They wanted to reach out to casuals but designed a game where you'd have to play nonstop to unlock characters without paying for them.

Stupid.

I thought they only reached out to casuals in terms of gameplay, the shop system is pretty blatantly designed to jew you out as much as possible

>The improved CFN experience is the result of rebuilding it from the ground up to address the most pressing issues that will ultimately result in a better online experience.
>rebuilding it from the ground up
Cautiously optimistic to say the least, if that's true then it's a big move and a good one. Hopefully they got rid of those shitty korean mmo servers they've been using.

>thinking this update will come out anytime before august 2017

>They wanted to reach out to casuals but designed a game where you'd have to play nonstop to unlock characters without paying for them.
Yes? That's the point. Casuals are too lazy to unlock things, so they spend real money. That's why "pay to unlock shit" DLC can and does exist even in the modern era. You're not thinking Jewish enough if you believe that this was done by mistake.

But it's still the least fun most brain dead sf to date. Call me when they fix everything about the gameplay.

Can someone help me like SFV? It feels so slow and restricted, and the combos aren't even fun to pull off nor do they feel rewarding, am I playing it wrong or something?

Started out like that for me coming from sf4, but once I got a training buddy who would practice with me regularly the game clicked a lot better. If you've given it enough time and it still ain't fun then just play something else, lots of fighting games to go around that have higher execution and fast(er) paced combat.

Play ibuki for fun combos and a top tier character or Juri for fun combos and you want to hate yourself

Do you at least win consistently?
Also the game is faster than sf4, at least in match duration, not neccesary a bad or good thing

When will based Cody grace us with his presence?

Hopefully season 3. They said this season is all newcomers with the exception of Akuma.

That animation actually existed in the game?

If it makes it to a season 3.
Only when girls walk by.

Not really, I try training but I can't really get into the game.

We'll see if the changes actually work this time

I think they made the game with season 2 in mind, and hinted at season 3 on the stories. So we have Sakura, Oro and Viper locked. Sagat for fan demand maybe an EX character if the last shadow isn't Garuda, and a Final Fight character. They said they wanted Sodom, personally, I want Haggar.

I'll try playing Ibuki.

You need to play actual people, training mode is boring to practice combos in because the execution is so easy and the combo system is generally limited. Once you've learned your bnbs its only use is for practicing setups/punishes/meaties/etc

SFV was such a let down

>less characters
>shitty menu designs
>unpolished clearly visible clipping in models on character select screen

it just looks like complete shit compared to SF4, why is this allowed?

Quality of life fixes don't address the major core gameplay faults. You can polish a turd all you want, but it'll still stink.

Call me when they follow through with making Darkstalkers 4

>Still no fucking arcade mode

>Sagat

Please no.

When will they let the World fighters die.

Aside from Dhalsim and Gief, gameplay from the original cast aged terribly. And they probably won't dare change Sagat because faggot would whine if they can't get their tiger shot obstacle course going.

there are a million issues more worth complaining about than those

Are they not announcing a new character this month?

>less characters
That happens every time they actually make a new game instead of just updating previous ones.

It sounds like they're talking about the beta system Steam has but they worded it all retarded, although doing a free weekend event after a big upgrade to the servers like this would actually be pretty great for the game.

SF5 on release the same number of characters as SF4's original arcade version.

if it takes more than 1 button press / mouse click to find a game then the matchmaking is still shit
but it doesn't matter either way because the game is forever bad

it's every other month, so new character who is most likely guile's black friend will be announced in early-mid-late next month and released along with the new balance patch/cfn update.

Does it make the game no boring as fuck?

>another batch of Capcom promises of fixing their shit
>people still believe them
Every update. When will you learn.

>playing SFV ever

Good riddens to that shit. Dlc up the ass, unlocking characters like this is some casino shit tier game. Fuck Capcom. They're dead to me.

They've never promised any list of fixes like this before.

At Wondercon, probably.

>still can't see and choose who the fuck i to fight like SFIV

It's garbage. I don't want to connect to some beaner or gook

>barely 1k copies sold after release
>in a year
>after multiple discounts, even at 1/3 of the price

Stop it Capcom, this is sad. Make it f2p (the business model is already there) or just make SF6.

>make SF6
No. Revive one of the other fighting IPs instead. That would generate more hype than "Oh, more SF, probably just as shitty as last timer."
