>Stasis

ez

>fires bow in close range

>draws bow
Even easier.

>Lynel spots me
>I hide behind a tree in an attempt to have him move towards me
>He aims his bow straight up
> I start getting hit with arrows raining from the sky
It's the little things that make me love this game

Is there....
lynel porn out there? Just for science... y'know.

Just keep shooting the faggot in the face.

Of course there is. Lynel fucking Link in the ass etc.

Lynels do get easy but the key is that they become easy because you learned them. Best enemy in 3D Zelda.

BOTW Lynels are going to go down in gaming culture as one of "those" meme enemies that fucks you up hard to the point of fear, like Deathclaws

Lynels with clubs are the toughest.

Still can't get the timing down when he does the 360 swing. Regular sword and spear Lynels are fairly easy.

This !
I have the same problem

I just sheathe and run a safe distance honestly

It better not, I farm them so easily. Savage Lynels may be my fovrite thing to fight in the game.

Just shoot the dumb nigga back in the face
And then climb up his ass and pound his backside as much as possible before he bucks you off

bow shot in melee range literally impossible to dodge

Goddamn fucking club Lynels breaking all my goddamn shields FUCK

At least with Lynels your chances of survival boil down to skill. Most of these "huge asshole enemies that fuck your shit up" kind of deals are either broken as fuck or are given ridiculously high stats.
Remember these fuckers?

>This !

If you can fight a Lynel you can get the Hylian shield

*shoots randomly in the air as you're trying to escape and still manage to hit you with my shock arrows*

>Fighting Lynel
>Stasis
>Attack
>Use that charged electric Y move
>Stuns it again
>Smack it some more
>Mount it and smack it more
>Rinse and repeat

I already have, dude.
That reminds me, I heard you can get a second Hylian shield. Where? I'd love to hang it on my wall.

Just fought my first Lynel. It was at that colleseum place.
>pulls out electric arrows and start shooting
>switches out weapons unlike every other enemy I fought so far
>puts away weapons and starts pounding at me like a fucking lion
>starts breathing fucking fire out of nowhere

Still haven't beaten him yet because my weapons are ass

Only when yours breaks. Tarrey town sells it.

>keep running sideways
>run towards him
>bait sword slash
>backflip
>mash
>sword slash
>backflip
>mash
>once he gets butthurt enough he runs away and charges you
>hop sideways
>mash
>sword slash
>mash
Or just go into an higher ground he can't get into and just run in circles while dropping bombs.

Just run towards it when it first spots you.

If you're at full stamina when that happens, and you run towards it when the white question mark appears above its head, it will draw a melee weapon by the time he fully aggros.

>using champion abilities
Fuck off casual

Where the seller of those anyway, i completed the town but haven't seen him yet

>fight a lynel with a fire sword
>dodge all his attacks with perfect flurry rushes
>almost have him down to 0 hp
>he hits me once
>my burning corpse flies down the hill and sets ablaze a field of gras
Such is life in hyrule.

I want to tell you, but...

I've already fought a load of them without it. I'll make the fight go faster if I can.

Does the fire effect even help against enemies like Lynels? Pretty sure they ignore all that shit.

On the balcony of one of the houses.
It's Robbie's son that ran from home

>hard mode Lynels

This will be some good shit. When's it out

Aw man, I wanted one in my house and one to use. Oh well, guess I'll use a Savage Lynel Shield instead

Start backing away once you see them do the twirl animation which precedes the 720 swing.

Lynels are hard enough. I want to fight 2 at once.

>Does the fire effect even help against enemies like Lynels? Pretty sure they ignore all that shit.
The lynel had the firesword.
I used my royal gear to attack him.

What was difficult about those guys in any way? They had terrible aim and you could line up you divebomb from like a mile away.

I hope that hard mode adds more enemy variety. I just wanna fight some Darknuts and Redeads, not black bokoblins. Nerfing Stasis+ and flurry rush would be nice too.

Only two pics I know off.

Post proof

Post lewd Lynels.

Literally "*blocks your path*: The Enemy"

Complete with *teleport behind you* powers.

Since this is the first thread I'm seeing up, is it worth it to buy the Ancient gear from the Akkla lab? I have just enough ancient cores to afford all of it, but I don't know if it'd be wasting my money.

>eats 5 bananas
Psssh, nothing personal, you stupid pony

If you stay in too close or move to a position not facing him he pulls the spin the worse part is perfect dodging a swing to still get hit before you can flurry rush

Just farm guardians. Guardian armor increases guardian damage output by 80% set bonus. But the helmet looks like ass so no one uses it.

I'm betting if they do some 100 floor cave of trials shit again, the very last one will be something ridiculous like 3 silver lynels.

>club, spear, sword at the same time
My dream

>They all got a different elemental weapon
you can trick them into hitting each other

>3 Thunderblight Ganons

i did the zora domain beast first and needed to gather arrows from the area with the Lynel.

pretty much sums up the experience until i remembered i had a stealth set

youtu.be/T7xJ-Ngq5CU

the arrows teleport I think
they can get you when you're underneath cover
then there's the fact that they themselves can *teleports behind you*

>Weeks ago when I met my first lynel
>"I'm sure Sup Forums is just memeing it up again, I bet these guys are easy"
>Try to charge him head on
>Get bitch slapped off the mountain
>Die and revive immediately as I fly through the air
>Fly over the side of the mountain and tumble all the way down
>Hit the ground and revive again
>Laugh for like twenty minutes

>Fast forward to today where I'm fully powered Link with master sword, hylian shield, bow of light, two rows of hearts, all champion abilities, etc
>Stasis
>Slap slap slap slap
>Dodge
>Stasis
>Slap slap slap slap
>mfw

Stasis+ is ridiculous. It shouldn't be able to freeze anything stronger than a bokoblin.

>mfw I just stealth arrow the Coliseum Lynel over and over to farm Lynel parts

It should drain stamina and have a longer cool down for stronger enemies

...

>I hate fun! pls nerf my single player games! I need my hardcore gamer cred!

Fucking end your lives.

Who's Lionel?

>drain stamina
stupid
>longer recharge
reasonable

>just dodge his melee attacks and use witch time over and over

The dodge window is incredibly forgiving.

Fighting my first few Lynels was fun but it's disappointing that they're the difficulty peak, everything after the first Lynel fight is so goddamn easy.

Stasis makes them so much easier than they should be

Stasis + is overrated trash.

>Doesn't last long enough to be more useful than Electric or Ice arrows/weapons
>Doesn't really let you charge their kinetic energy and launch them
>Hardly lasts long enough for a single weapon combo

It actually offends me how often you people praise it or even mention it. It's so fucking bad.

If you have stasis+ it's a no-brainer for club lynels. They are literally the easiest. Here's my strategy:

>Stasis them
>Shoot them with an arrow
>They will drop to their knee and give you ample time to run behind them
>Stay right there at their ass and wait
>When you see them rev up the spin, move a safe distance away
>They will ALWAYS end the spin facing you on a long cooldown with their face wide open for a crit arrow
>Take the shot, run forward and mount
>Mounting takes no durability and by the time they buck you off your stasis is recharged
>Repeat until dead

The wii will never take off, Nintendo is DOOMED

>perfect dodge a lynel's overhead smash
>aoe so large shield breaks

but seriously lynels with clubs are a bitch to fight because of the aoe of that overhead, even more of a bitch when its the first type of lynel you fight

Draining stamina is the best balance decision. Youd actually have to balance it out with how far your are. Would stop people from spamming stasis at max range and running in.

...

>fun
>ezmode
pick one

hey there

In the case of lynels its fucking ridiculous especially if you have one of their bows because you're going to stun the fuck out of them and deal even more damage

I'm beginning to wonder if all of you just suck dick at videogames. I find them, and guardians both to be incredibly easy.

Guardians are hard until you realize you can parry their shots.

>ancient proficiency
>attack up+3 food
>ancient battle axe++
>shoot lynel in face
>spin

they are piss easy after one or two enounters,
>dodge attacks
>flurry rush
>shock arrow face
>mount
>lynel gets angry
>run away
>explodes
>repeat

Its all about the initial threat after you get over it and have enough armor and strong enough weapons to not make the fights tedious then its all fun

Lynels are a real threat when you don't have any powers. Got steamrolled every time. Later on when you've practiced dodging + blocking you can kill everything pretty easily. Hopefully hard mode adds a lot of stuff.

What do you think Lynels do when not in combat? Are they just out foraging and surviving like Link?

Lynels should have used the bow more during cqc, and especially while moving.
If you get in close enough where you can start hitting them, they never use the bow. And it's usually the bow that's a challenge to deal with since they're spamming elemental arrows.

If what the compendium says is true, they're probably picking off human, or otherwise, stragglers for food and supplies. So yeah.

>Getting swarmed by these things
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

Use the Ancient Bladesaw and pretend you're playing a good Warhammer 40K game.

How is the durability on the ancient weapons?

...

Not really.

The timing for the parry is incredibly narrow, and if you fuck up, you're eating a beam.

Smart people shoot them in the eye with an arrow to stop their laser charge, cut off their legs, and go to town with a heavy weapon.

Yeah, same can be said about every enemy in this stupid game. It's all equipment locked. If you don't have strong enough weapons, you literally cannot kill some enemies, no matter how skilled your dodges. And once you've got decent armor and weapons everything is a cakewalk.

>but the initial threat
You're supposed to avoid them. You can't kill them. This isn't difficulty, this is the equivalent of grinding out exp in an RPG If your stats are too low, you can't kill certain foes.

I don't see how you retards find this difficult.

Once you have Stasis+ (which you can get very early) and some decent damage dealing weapons. All Lynels and Guardians are an absolute cakewalk. Have you people even played Dark Souls? For all the memespouting I saw about this game with people saying "it's as tough as Dark Souls" I wonder if any of you ever even played the game. The combat in Zelda doesn't even begin to compare. It's very cookie cutter.

>being so bad you miss the parry window
Scrub

Raping bokoblins

>play dark souls
>grind to sl 400 with hellkite
>wah the game is easy
Im tired of scrub faggots using crutches then complaining the game is easy.

>Have you people even played Dark Souls?
You mean... the buggy as shit Dark Souls that doesn't work without mods? Or the bad Dark Souls 2 that's not even worth playing? Or Dark Souls 3 that crashes every time I played it. Sure, Dark Souls is as difficult as they say. All the bugs prevent you from playing the games! Fuck Dark Souls.

>Have you people even played Dark Souls

I have, fuck off. That's the real meme game. Zelda is mostly pretty easy once you gear up but people who pretend Dark Souls is hard are actual shitters. The first Dark Souls is a cakewalk and every game after it only has hard parts by poor hitboxes and lazy design. While we're talking about combat, I'm sure Dark Souls "hold block while circle strafing" or "mash dodge when you see the telegraphed attack" is really engaging right?

Can the crafted weapons get attack bonuses like the guardian ones can?

>. The combat in Zelda doesn't even begin to compare. It's very cookie cutter.

Im baffled people bother comparing the combat in zelda at all. Can't speak for 1 or 2 but I only ever found combat to be functional. The series strength is in it's dungeon/overworld designs.

>You're supposed to avoid them. You can't kill them.
No you casual. You can't kill them. I did. 2 triforked boomerangs and a knights claymore. Early game shit weapons is all you need.

rape is imminent

>Guardian Sword++ - 32
>Ancient Short Sword - 54

>Guardian Spear++ - 35
>Ancient Spear - 50

>Ancient Battle Axe++ - 25
>Ancient Bladesaw - 50

>Ancient Bow - 120

Bretty gud if you ask me. Though I wouldn't go for them until you're rolling in cash and have nothing left to buy besides arrows.

>Grind
I didn't Grind in Zelda you imbecile, it's not the same you moron. I literally played through the main game, and every enemy is a fucking cakewalk. The bosses were a cakewalk, the minibosses are a cakewalk, the guardians and Lynels are a cakewalk. The game has an inverted difficulty curve, things are only hard in the very very beginning before you learn you should avoid fights until you get better gear.

Not only that, but I NEVER upgraded my hearts outside of the ones you get from the Bosses. All my Spirit Orbs went into Stamina, only now am I getting hearts to get the Master Sword, and even at 8 fucking hearts, the game is piss easy.

No you stupid motherfucker, to grind out to Lvl. 400 in DS you gotta spend hours doing monotonous shit. To curbstomp everything in BotW you need only get Stasis +, some decent weapons, and upgrade you Hylian Armor set which you'll likely do over the course of the game anyway, as it's the easiest set to max out.

I'm certain I can do a 3 heart run in this game and never die, it's honestly not very fucking difficult.

>You're supposed to avoid them.
Hell, I thought you were supposed to kill the first one in Zora's Domain. I killed it just with using defense up food and a couple of guardian weapons from shrines.
