Best is Chrono Trigger but pic related is second best and my personal favorite of all time.

...

Panzer Dragoon Saga. You should get it cheap off eBay, it's well worth it.

Not a JRPG but it is the best Zelda ever made.

Also why was your boxart so edgy?

...

It was also better than 4

Teepo did nothing wrong.

Ryu3 was the biggest retard in JRPG history, rused by Bleu into killing Myria and dooming the entire planet.

>But muh Brood genocide

If the Brood or Humanity wasn't wiped out, they would have wiped each other out, especially considering humanity had nukes and shit by that point. It was a ticking timebomb and Myria had to make sacrifices.

...

Pic related is one of my faves, is the PSP version alright if I want something new?

Yeah it's fantastic.

>fucking STILL isn't translated
eop liking lovedelic games is suffering

While it's an absolutely incredible game, Moon isn't a JRPG.

SMT Nocturne

Eternal Blue CD is the best Lunar franchise release.

The Witcher 3, don't know why u keep arguing

...

Where do I even get started with this shit?
There's a million versions and remakes

>last post on the Neofag thread was a month ago saying they were still ironing shit out
Soon.

>babbys first RPG

TLR wasn't really the best but I loved it anyways

If we're purely speaking jrpg's, the first Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games.

If we're talking rpg's in general, Ultima and Wizardry.

Those four together essentially were the birth of video games rpg's and thus are the "greatest".

Silver Star:
CD > PS > PSP > Mobile > GBA

Eternal Blue:
CD > PS

Don't play Dragon Song.

You're welcome.

Not that guy, but I've found myself emulating a lot of games on my phone these days since I have time to play them here and now.

Can Lunar be playing on a touchscreen effectively?

I finished Snatcher on my phone so I have some tolerance for how bad the touchscreen controls are for games that are intensive sometimes.

Prefer this version for the lower encounter rates. I don't care if it was easier due to them not rebalancing exp worth a shit. It's not like the DC version was challenging anyway. Just tedious. It was also nice having new content and all of the VMU items available in-game.

Shame about the music though, and pinta's quest was actually quite fun to play with if you ever had time to use the VMU, you could farm some good stuff from there.

Oh and it was slightly censored ;^)

I don't emulate old games on phones, but I would assume Lunar 1-2 should be fine.

They're turn-based games with simple menus and simple controls. I don't see what could really not work well. They aren't intensive games by any means.

Alright, thanks user. I'll get around to playing the games soon then.

OST is on my gym playlist.

I'm hoping we'll get a Switch version that's finally definitive.

-The better audio quality of the DC version
-Enhanced graphics
-All content from both versions
-More new content
-No censorship (although that might be a problem on Switch)
-An enhanced remake of the Pinta's Quest VMU minigame made for the Switch pad (this is the only reason why I said for Switch)
-A proper encounter rate/exp/money rebalancing

Man that'd be great.

I'd give anything for any type of Skies of Arcadia news. A sequel, a port, a remaster. I'd buy the ever loving fuck out of it, and then buy it again on other platforms if there was a chance to.

Hell, I'd buy multiple copies of it as gifts if it was released on Steam.

I don't know about the 'best' jrpg but here are some that I like.

>SaGa
>Ys
>Radiant Historia
>an actual good FE
>Langrisser and Growlanser
>Front Mission

8/9

I loved this one but when I tried playing the 2nd one I got bored about 25 hours in, when you fight a lot inside those big robots around and spaceship.

The art style change was offputting, and the characters felt more cold, I wasn't as invested in them as in the first game.

Maybe one day I'll finish it.

>tfw you've been waiting for almost a decade now
ENGLISH TRANSLATION NEVER EVER

>neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=871910&page=3
Soon, my man.

English patch when?

I like the cover of that Radiant Historia, what's it about?

FF9 seems like an all round perfection.
That, or Grandia.

came to post this

Maybe you should've learned Japanese during that decade and played the game.
