Not commenting on the games themselves, but, going from the PS3 fat onwards, I feel, in terms of looks, they are barely above the PS3 super slim. Its one of the reasons I went and got one of the older PS4s instead of the slim.

Nioh, Horizon and Bloodborne are the only must-play exclusives. The rest varies from dogshit to Great but also on pc (Nier). I'd recommend Until Dawn if that's your thing as well because it's actually really fun, specially when you're "watching" it with someone and also TLOU Remastered just so you can see how utterly overhyped this thing was.

What the PS4 is doing is definitely awesome, but the PS2 was a fucking monstrosity.
The goddamn hype of it alone killed the Dreamcast.
With just 1 year's head start it created one of the biggest marketshare leads over its competition in gaming history. IIRC it's still the most successful game console of all time.
And lastly, the game library. Due to its overwhelming market strength, popularity, and low cost to develop games for it the PS2 has a massive and stupidly diverse library of games.
Just to games ranging from good to excellent dwarf the selections from 7th and 8th gens.
PS4 will likely go down in history as being a worthy successor to the PS1 and PS2's legacy, but it's not going to touch what the PS2 did.

I live the PS3, and it has a lot of games I really enjoyed, but it never hit the insane levels PS1 and PS2 hit. Right now, my PS4 and Vita are letting me enjoy the golden weeb age. The fact that I learned moon means I'll literally never run out of games.
