poorfags of Sup Forums, how do you game?

pirating

pc indie games
I don't even pirate

I sail on the high seas

How else? With a wallet fit to bursting and a smile on my fucking gob.

console, rentals. I've had a PS4 since 2013 and I think I've spent like $70 on games since then too, but I've played just about every brand new AAA release since. FFXV sucked though. regret the hell out of that.

old games
nobody should give a fuck about triple A $80 plus $20 season pass & pre-order bonus downloadable games when there are tons of old gems and 'made for gamers by gamers' indie games

i mug people for their wallets

Which is worse, pirating or buying games with unemployment/disability checks?

I own 1 current gen and 1 previous gen console and 1 or 2 of same for portables

about halfway through each gen i sell it all, trade up and slowly put together a new collection.

I've had to do this for about 15 years for various reasons

>Gaming
>Not just experiencing games via youtube longplays

I am dead inside.

steam and xbox live arcade

cheap games and utility plus the convenience

I don't, I just chip away at Persona 5 while stressing about bills. Wouldn't call it gaming.

Behind a generation. Still play ps3 and 3ds. Playing longer games, beat Dark Souls 2 like 6 times (still like it) physical games are cheap for ps3 and psn sales. Bought Yakuza 5, and I am taking mt time doing side quests and such. I can play a game for like a month before getting bored of it.

>meagre but quality steam library
>huge collection of PSN purchases
>occasional trips to pawn shop to buy/sell systems if I'm taking a break/downgrading

I still own a New 3DS XL and I REALLY REALLY miss my Vita, I dropped it a lot and the screen broke.

They whine about everything and play nothing. Hence Sup Forums, the place where just mentioning an AAA game makes people respond with visible hatred.

piracy and only buying games on sale

and being fortunate enough to have friends who gift me stuff

Check your local libraries. Mine I found out stocks a ton of PS4 and Xbox games. Now starting switch too.

Intermittantly.

You can download and emulate a bunch of older consoles. No excuses.

Sometimes I sell games to buy new ones, depends on the title.

I have an xbox and a neet friend who gameshares with me. Bless his soul.

Not really a poor fag as I make good money but I still refuse to spend a lot on games. I just play games a year+ after they come out. I just started the first dishonored game since it was cheap on steam sale.

I trade videogames in facebook and exclusively buy at second hand stores and the like. Haven't step foot in the Gamestop equivalent in my country in years and steam offers and gifts from friends.
I also never got a console at launch, I always wait until the price drops off and a cheaper "slim" version gets released. It saved me a lot of troubles (and money) to be honest.

If you're good at games there are a lot of ways to make money from them

Small tournaments, boosting, streaming, etc

f2p

I don't game, I ERP.

Always wait for the sale. Never bought anything over $40 for a vidya.

I play the games I bought when I wasn't that poor.
My computer can't run the new stuff anyway.
Sometimes I pick up indie shit from igg-games

I bet I ERP better than you, faggot.

>no one said emulation
Sup Forums's pretty much reddit.

Piurating
F2P games (there's a lot of them that are more fun than paid multiplayer games)
Discounts off key sites like G2A or Kinguin. You can often-times find games for 1/3 the market price and can get new games for like 20% off full price. Some key sites already have pre-orders up for games like CoD WWII for $45 bucks.

Ew, I don't actually ERP you prevert. Tsk.

If it makes you feel any better, I can afford games but I still watch speed runs of games I like and also watch things like insanely hard Mario Maker levels that I can't beat myself. Better than watching TV.

>rentals

Where do you live? Is still that a common thing?

Just so you know, this is becoming standard for physical releases. Can't remember the last time I bought a game without either my Prime or GCU discount.

he probably uses Redbox, and has no concept of money.

With a PC and a torrent website. If you're a console gamer on a console that hasn't been cracked, there's no way you can manage that as a poorfag. Before we cracked out Wii U, I had bought about 6 games in 3 years.

>pirated majority of games in life since middle school when internet was advanced enough to host websites for that shit
>have nice upper 5 figure job and can afford as much luxury as I want
>still pirate the shit out of my entertainment media anyways
Life is good

Piracy g2a eBay

I literally suck dick for games. I-it's not gay if I'm not doing it because I want to, r-right?

Well with key sites you can get the digital code instead and don't have t pay for prime.

how poor is poor?

Well, GCU is a better deal, seeing as it's only $30 for two yeas. Having the ability to resell your games is probably worth the $15/year charge.

No. You're just living through hard times.
Once you start feeling proud of your mental illness and call yourself a gay is when you have to worry.

I steal games
No not pirating, I do it the old fashion way
Its difficult as you have to wait until a game hits that aisle end cap with no alpha box or a GameStop employee forgets to gut a game

poor is choosing between two games you like because you can't afford both

Piracy and sales mostly. Plus being able to only play old games means they're pretty cheap.
I'm going to get a decent PC in the coming months anyway.

Swagbucks and some other survey places for gift cards so I don't have to spend actual money on stuff coupled with the Amazon Prime discount that brings $60 games down to $52 and $40 ones $35. New releases, anyway. That includes taxes and release day shipping is free.

My parents buy me one game each semester for my PS4 med student, still at family home at my 26. This one i haven't bought any, i feel ashamed to keep asking for free stuff at my age. My Xbox is broken, and i want to ask them money to fix it, but don't dare. I want to buy me a PC so i can stop playing the few games that can run in my Macbook, but the money needed for a good computer it's completely out of reach to me. My motivation to become a good doctor is to get money to support my gaming, but, wouldn't i be too old for videogames by then?

What about the alarms and cameras? How could you get away with that nigger?
