What are your "Never gets old" games? Games where you can always come back to and have a reasonably good time.

My list:
Tetris
Duck Game (provided friends are around)
Nuclear Throne
Spelunky
Team Fortress 2
Super Hexagon
VVVVVV

Killing Floor

Tetris Attack
and all of those games sans tetris are garbage, OP.

Your post plays out like its from a neofag who grew up on call of duty. Kill yourself.

I play re4 once a year. I've been playing melee fairly consistently since it's release

kotor

Not OP, but seriously eat shit.

Binding of Isaac, been playing it since the orignal game out, loving Antibirth

I'm sorry man, could you point me in the right direction? All I know is I like these games a lot and have had a lot of fun with them over the years but if you think there's some games I'd like better I'm all ears.

Dustforce
I've only been playing it a few months, but i'll probably be coming back to it for years

Also Ikaruga

That is my shit.

I mean while you're at it there's plenty of star wars themed games that are recognized as classics. You've got Jedi outcast/academy with the awesome saber combat, then there's Original battlefront 2, even if it was a casual shooter.

Any Total War
Spyro
Crash
The Movies
Persona games
Witcher series

eat my asshole :^)

there's been countless Sup Forums recommendation images that have been posted over the years. I'm not helping a newfag.

Killer Instinct (SNES)
Civ V
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Osu!

I have played through this game at least 5 times and it has never lost its luster. My favorite Mario RPG by a country mile.

Can't wait for the remake

diablo 2
warcraft 3
deus ex
vice city

Ace Combat 6
Might and Magic 6
Age of Mythology

So good

My favorite game went old last year when i played it i couldnt enjoy it anymore

Hammerfight

- Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
- The Sims 2
- FATE
- Din's Curse + expansion
- Sacred
- Terraria (sort of; I can burn out on it, but it usually takes a while)

Stronghold
GTA:SA
T.H.U.G.
Fallout 3
Wipeout XL

>Spelunky

yes my dude

Dead Rising 2 is my personal goat. It's so comfy and fun.

>Super Mario 64
I've replayed it on every version of Virtual Console it has come out and it's never been not fun.
>Luigi's Mansion
I replay it about once each two years. It's short as fuck and it's starting to lose its magic, though.
>Pikmin 1 & 2
Same
>Super Meat Boy
I hope The End Is Nigh is good.
>The Binding of Isaac
But then Rebirth came out. Controls are so much better compared to the original but the gameplay is a fucking mess. So I don't play either anymore.
>Tengen Tetris
Sometimes I'll play with a roomie for 20 minutes and go on with our lives.
>Team Fortress 2
Even though all my faggot friends moved to Overwatch still play Casual with randoms.
>Mario Kart 8
I've played it at least once every week since it's come out on the Wii U. It's so easy to pick up, play 3 races online then move on, specially since it came out on the Switch since load times are twice as fast now and I can have it next to my PC.

Baldur's Gate 2
It's even more fun when you're aware how hilariously broken it is.

I still like it...

Castle Crashers
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World the Game
Metal Gear Rising

too bad scott pilgrim isnt redownloadable

ur the only newfag here

>SHMUPs in general
>Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari, and to some extent; Katamari Forever
>Tetris Plus
>Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2
>Spider-Man for ther PS1
>Gungriffon Blaze
>Any Taito, Sega, or BAMCO arcade game
>Yakuza
>American McGee's Alice
>Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
>Soul Hackers
Etc.

Honestly I've probably invested more time in replaying games than trying new ones.

Got this in a cereal box many, many years ago. Still enjoy it. Never knew about the PS1 version, lol.

New Vegas
Metro Last Light
Ace Combat Zero
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
THUG 1
Beatdown: Fists of Vengeance
GTA Vice City/San Andreas

Forgot Heroes of Might and Magic III.

Random map generator is messy but still tons of fun.

Doom

I fucking missed out on buying the DLC. I have the game, but now I can't complete the "experience" (yes, that word is overused).

>Mount and Blade: Warband with Floris
>Rimworld
>Smash Bros and various fightan games with friends

TF2 for sure but also any DaS game.

...

Rimworld
Dwarf Fortress
Diablo 2
The Sims 3

Burnout 3
Star Fox 64
Rock Band 3

(You)

>RE4
>burnout 3
>dead rising.

jedi academy with moviebattles mod

the community is kind of shit though

Dungeon Master is old?

Mario RPG, its my all time favorite game. I replay it to what I would consider 100% completion every year or two (besides the super suit, I'll get the 100 super jumps someday). I've been playing some ROM hacks of it recently and its a shame the game was so easy because the engine and combat system had a lot of potential when utilized properly.

The DKC trilogy as well never really seem to get old for me and those a long with Mario RPG I have pretty much every secret memorized besides a few in DKC1.

Jesus you are a savage. That game kicked my ass.

Burnout 3
Any Mario up to 64
Paper Mario 64

OoT

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Bioshock (original)
Metal Gear Solid (original)

I like to explore. I haven't played Bioshock in years, though. I suspect Deus Ex makes Bioshock far less interesting.

>games I can load up and play at any time regardless of how long ago I last played it
Fable
Aria of Sorrow
Bully
Dark Souls
Oblivion
FEAR
TWEWY
Halo
>games I constantly play through again every few months

King of Fighters 98
Jamestown
NFL Blitz 98/99

Binding of Isaac
Team Fortress 2

Deus Ex the first is a golden game.
Conspiracies, sci fi shit, rpg mechanics, diverse world (Came out before the world trade center got 9/11'd and the towers weren't there) etc etc

Played this wayyyy back in the day (was absolutely terrible at it, too). Last month my uncle finished rebuilding back his Atari collection/computer, so I got to try it again. Fucking nostalgic levels through the roof!

Super Crate Box

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Dark Souls
Bloodborne
Super Mario RPG
Fallout: New Vegas
Metal Gear Solid 4
Persona 4 Golden
The Binding of Isaac

Silent Hill 2

>Unreal Tourney 2004
Felt like I was Rambo in space on crack, all televised on ESPN. I still cant get enough. Fuck Godlike bots though, Im sure they wallhack
>Dark Souls 1
Losing its appeal in recent times but I always enjoy a playthrough once every couple of months. Surprisingly short game
>Original DOOM
Doom 2 is clearly the better game but E1M1 sucks me in too hard not to keep playing
>modded STALKER
The Zone is forever, blyat

yeah dude it's almost as if they didn't have such a game until less than 5 years ago. crazy how it be like that

>Bionic Commando 09

It's too bad the awful story and shitty character design (and bland shooting) fucked this masterpiece of swinging so hard.

From Dust.
I replay it once a year, never seen anything like it. Games like these are what really push the industry forward, strongly recommend it because manipulating the elements is fun as fuck.

If there's any other games that are similar to From Dust I'd appreciate if any anons let me know.

Fallout 1 & 2. Playing 2 for the first time with killap's mod make's me so fucking angry how bad 3 & 4 were in retrospect. New Vegas is my favorite western game of all time but, I refuse to spoil my image of it with subsequent playthroughs

Doom
Quake
Blood
Uhh
Recently I replayed Star Control 2 and had a gay old time

literally every single Zelda game or Monster Hunter game

except for pre-freedom unite monster hunter, there's no reason to play them instead of freedom unite

All this love for New Vegas makes me feel sooooo good

Black & white is the only decent one that come to mind.

F.E.A.R.
Dead Space
Bioshock
Shadow Warrior

Tetris is literally the only game that never gets old

Super Mario World
Symphony of the Night
Super Metroid

Counter-Strike: Source.

>unless you like exactly what Sup Forums likes you're a cod kiddy and everything you like that isn't considered good by the hivemind is shit
Grow up a little and form your own opinion faggot

I think sometimes that someday I'll look at Tetris and think "eh, don't feel like playing it" but so far that's literally never happened to me

Race The Sun
New Vegas
Toribash
Dwarf Fortress
Mirror's Edge

This game is literally impossible to find for some reason.
I want to play it but I can't find it anywhere.

Chess if you count it

Binding of isaac rebirth
Civ v with community patch
New Vegas
FTL

Star Wars Republic Commando
Psychonauts
FTL
Crazy Machines
3D Bionicle games(you know the ones)
HoM&M 3
Those are the games that I always go to when I am down in a slump.

Jagged Alliance 2
God Hand
Mount and Blade
Stalker

...

I should play M&B more but it absolutely kicks my ass
>enter new game
>recruit a few peasants
>go to the nearest tournament
>Fucking Xaria or whatever her name is is always there
>she absolutely destroys everything and I lose my money
After that I usually don't feel like continuing much

Dino Crisis but I wish it was on Steam

>Team Fortress 2
MAH MAN!

Sword of the stars.

Sims and its installments/sequels. Never gets old for me.

>New Vegas
you can literally spend months playing that game how do you come back to it once a year? I've been alternating two characters since mid-March and I still have a ton of shit to do. I can maybe come back to it every few years or so but not every single year.

Gunvalkryie
MvC2
CvS2
Tekken Tag 1
Gunstar Heroes
Socom
Wolfenstien Enemy Territory
JK2 Jedi Outcast
Comix Zone
Earthworm Jim 1 and 2
Bubsy 1 I'm serious, I can blaze through that game at max speed. I actually think the level design was pretty good , it's just the hitboxes are shit.

Literally the only answer.

My New Vegas playthroughs average at about 30 hours. I don't go out of my way to do everything with every character, though.

Sudoku, dark souls 2, minecraft, probably others, all i can come up with off the top of my head. Id say dark souls 1 as well, but i kind of burnt out on it, same with factorio.

Forgot to add Jagged Alliance

Deus ex 1 has aged like butter, to be honest

Good tastes.
Specifically DF and stone soup. And D2 of course.
