if it's cheap, sure.
it's only got like 20 songs tho
also no edit mode
it's really only good for dumb reaction pics

Buy any other game in the series instead.

fug

there's a concert editor as an add on though.

It was a shitty gacha unlock system, and a smaller tracklist than all other of the games, but I like the songs, and if you might too. I'd say go for it if you like Migu.

If this is your first Migu game, get Project Diva F or F 2nd first.

yes, you fucking faggot

Get F or F 2nd instead. X is shit

Does it do custom charts as well as PVs?

worst miku game

rip miku

Fuck off. The last thing this franchise needs is another copy of X sold. It only existed to steal money from the fans too stupid to buy Future Tone instead.

but X has the best vocaloid song
L TO THE U TO THE K TO THE A

Iunno, I just saw the concert editor listed under DLC stuff on the store. It looks like you can make the PV but it doesn't really give specifics. Looking through F2's edit mode add on they don't give specifics there either so I can't honestly say.

It's not the best game in the series but it's worth picking up if it's cheap.

who MEIKO here

the editor in F2nd and all previous games lets you use your own songs and design your own note charts and background animations

I know you're memeing but I love that song.

No it does not. That's why you still see people making F2nd charts. Between the lack of a true edit mode, the shitty RNG mechanics, the horrible pointless story mode, there is no point in playing X more than once. It's piss easy too. Chasing perfects feels kind of patronizing rather than difficult or fun.

the tuning is fucking amazing, I just wished it wasn't wasted on Luka Rapping.

yeah i know, I'm saying that I don't know if X's editor is the same from what I read on the store page but it's got something on there.

>It's piss easy too
Feels pretty equal to me compared to the other games going off the base songs.

it's the weakest of all the miku games. Some charts are under-stepped, there's only 20 or so songs, the unlock system is awful, and the "story mode" serves zero purpose.

Get future tone.

...

No reason to get anything but future tone.
It comes with over 200 songs.

does it have the patty cake minigame?

Where do you faggots even learn about the existence of this obscure weebshit

my sister

I found out about this series in 2009 after seeing it in EGM in a little side column showing some beta footage.

Unfortunately no.

just because they don't sell a game a gamestop doesn't mean it's obscure

i'm pretty sure even project diva F2nd was on walmart store shelves for a while
of course, F wasn't, because sega was taking a huge gamble.

>obscure
Kinda relevant. Live right now.
www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/live/

How many times have they tried "introducing" miku in the US?
Aside from small time stuff like miku expo that gets literally no marketing, none of their attempts at collaborating with western musicians has panned out.

She was on Letterman, wasn't a very good production though.

Nobody watches letterman, he was literally weeks away from retiring.
Also the sound was awful and it was shoved into the last 2 minutes.

>miku goes on letterman
>after the song he makes some shitty willie nelson weed joke about her

I've sworn off every Miku game that isn't Future Tone. Not in to creepy dress up with visually underage anime girls, thanks.

>Vocaloid
>Obscure
Mate

What about edit mode?

nhk world always manages to make their docs feel like propaganda, regardless of the topic
it's weird

maybe it's because making vocaloid out to be much bigger than it really, there's tons of meaningless interview fluff in this show

PC fucking when?

name one PC port of a japanese game in recent memory that wasn't an unoptimized piece of shit

99% of vita ports run fine.

I miss 2007

How did they get away with this?

Why would you want FT, there are no new songs or new costumes. X has new songs, new costumes, concert editor and vr mode.

I dont get it. Every time a song is his on Future tone he acts gay as fuck is he?

In case youre not joking, thats a miku song. They just used a len module.

you don't deserve it

And you do? Fuck off retard.

I love miku

Hey, me too.

I do.

Can someone explain how I'm supposed to play the intense voice of hatsune miku?

Some parts don't even look like they're designed for a controller, I'm not even sure the buttons are actuating fast enough even when dual wielding.

how do I get a gf that likes Miku?

keep practicing
and no, the charts in FT were not designed for controllers, but that doesn't mean its impossible, its just slightly harder

Me too

Git gud
youtube.com/watch?v=Qffnb_qEVWw

Have miku be your gf.

How cheap are we talking OP

I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than $20, and even then it's iffy.

Diva X is a good...
I mean
It's not bad.

If it's your first Diva, it's probably fine. But it doesn't have many songs and there's a bunch of RNG grinding bullshit and the Vocaloids never shut the fuck up because the main menu was combined with the Diva Room

Isn't she Luka's gf?

I bought F at a GameStop.

It was super limited run and I took the very last copy in my entire city on day one
But it was still there.

I'm playing F2nd

Also is there some kind of weird grip I should be using?

store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/hatsune-miku-project-diva-x/cid=UP0177-PCSE00867_00-PJDX393MAJITENSI

Ehhhh

If you're dying for a rhythm game it's fine I guess.

No, it's not really worth it

>Even for a project Diva game way too many Miku songs, Kaito and Meiko don't even have a single solo song,
>Buying Gifts, Decorations, Modules and Accesories has been turned into a random Drop System, when the Shop in the previous game was MUCH more effiecent
>Lackluster song amount

Honestly, just buy Project Diva Future Tone, it has over 100 songs and over 100 costumes to choose from, it's the better PS4 Miku game

NO.

Oh. No, you can definitely do it with a controller. Like I said, just keep practicing.
If you really can't, there are custom controllers for the ps3 that imitate arcade's controls

>I'm playing F2nd
>
>Also is there some kind of weird grip I should be using?
Probably not so much for the f2nd chart. Just gotta practice when it comes to the last part really.

But the songs that are in are really good.
>Babylon
>Slow Motion
>Lost One's Weeping
>Brain Revolution Girl
>Cool Medley
>Ultimate Medley
basically all of them are great songs, except the ones in the classic cloud, excluding the ultimate medley

I just finished the trial version of future tone with only 2 songs, which dlc should i buy? I can buy only one.
>hatsune miku
>obscure
When did you start using the internet? It's literally entry level tier japanese stuff that has been known worldwide for years.

Meiko?
youtu.be/UzKyvDl0lBY

>except the ones in the classic cloud
How can you not like Love Song.

if you've never played a project diva game before or have played only one, future sound
if you've played two or more, colorful tone

For now?

Depends on which you like better. Future Sound contains mainly songs from the Project Diva games on the PSP and PS3/Vita

Colorful tone contains songs from the previous Project DIVA Arcade game and the Project mirai 3ds game

but wait, Isn't the US version of both combined around a full price ps4 game?

Checking my favorites, I have more Colorul Tone ones.

>which dlc should i buy?
Neither.

Wait until later this year when Future Tone DX comes out.
It'll be Future Sound, Colorful Tone and all the DLC packs for $60

If you're strapped for cash this is the only option that makes sense.

If you're indifferent between the song lists for them you might as well pick one randomly. Future Sound PVs tend to look nicer though because nearly a third of Colorful Tone's PVs are ported from edit mode in the psp/vita games.

Wait, this true? I've kinda been waiting to get into this game

>this true
Sure is, so another couple months wont hurt.
Ghost Rule is being added as well.

Yes. It releases November 22nd in Japan.

It'll be available as a physical copy, as opposed to FT vanilla's digital-only release.

Does Future Tone work on PSTV

Have you listened to her new song?

It's not a Vita game, so...
No

I have. Hachi makes good shit.

Are there any songs in x that aren't in future tone, excluding medleys?

Gotten it to 'work' on ps4link on Vita so I assume it's the same for pstv. My wifi gets hiccups every so often so it's not worth it for me.
Works amazingly for X though since I can grind gifting while away from the ps4.

Anything except LOL - Lots of Laugh and Hand in Hand (dlc).

Nope.avi

Yes.
I wish they would make a PDX song pack for future tone. Really want Slow Motion.

nicovideo.jp/watch/sm31606995

With david letterman
youtube.com/watch?v=AtEREVFSEDI

Are you really choosing to ignore the fact that FT got DLC? I can respect wanting to defend a game you like, even if it is a slab of shit that it's own fanbase rejected. But that kind of delusion isn't healthy man.

Nice

>Why would you want FT
200+ songs
Most difficult Diva game

Well that's gonna be stuck in my head for weeks, awesome song though.

Thanks for the heads up.

Imagine a survival mode with tracks that loop and get harder.
Or better yet, procedurally generated note charts.
Multiplayer would be nice too.

>procedurally generated note charts
There is no way that could turn out well.
A great song can be ruined by a boring note chart.

That was pretty sad, good song though. I don't even know what producers are still around. It's been years since I've followed anything Vocaloid other than games and merch. Deco had an OK album last year I guess.

Yes. It's the weakest in the series, but it's still great. Very solid tracklist and the gameplay is as fun as ever.

If you want a better intro to the series, pick up F or F 2nd instead.

What's the appeal of virtual singers?
What's the appeal of pressing buttons on cue?
This looks like a glorified QTE.

What's the point in video games? You just press buttons until you win.
