I haven't played it in years, but DotA had a hero named Huskar who benefited from having low HP. The lower his HP was, the higher his Attack Speed and Damage would be. He also had a skill which dealt a little self damage but set the enemy on fire with every attack(and the burn effects STACKED). We're talking insane DPS, you could melt every hero in the game in mere seconds. And even if they somehow managed to run away, they would die to the million burn damage per second shortly afterwards, due to all the stacks.
Fun times.
