'God, I want to play some mmo for a while'

>'God, I want to play some mmo for a while'
>No decent MMOs in the market

Year 2017, and the genre is already dead.

>Implying there was ever such a thing as a good MMO

They're all garbage. Single player will be forever superior.

Stop playing video games, go outside.

Let's not forget Everquest and good old Dark Age of Camelot

Now, we have WoW on an never-stopping decline, and infinite copies of a game that lost its fuel years ago.

also ultima online

Star Trek Online is fun and has a significant amount of endgame and player generated content.

Nice bait.

Ive played neverwinter and gw2 and downloading eso right now. Only yourself to blame for not being able tofind at least some interesting parts here and there for free or measy 50 bucks

I'm not, I've gone through the gamut of just about every other available MMO aside from Black Desert Online and Vindictus, and Star Trek is my favorite. It's equal parts loving the series and just really enjoying the space combat. Hell, even ground combat got interesting when equipment sets started adding new mechanics

on paper it's great but

playing with other people and not against them is the problem

FFXIV is great for Hotkey MMO.

Runescape is great for classic sandbox grindan.

BDO is great for autism and big titties.

GW2 is great for retards.

Maplestory is great for 2d grindan.

Wildstar is great for dedgaem F2P PvE.

I think you's just a bitch.

Neverwinter, unless it has changed a lot, has dumb p2w and really bad PvP.
GW2 looks promising with new expansion, but the core gameplay is too simplistic when compared with its predecessor. Might give it a try whenever I have enough to buy expansion pack, but both original game and previous expansion were boring after a few hours.
ESO is shit, plain and simple. Only worth for roleplaying and masturbating on Tamriel's lore.

Vindictus is the only one there I've not tried out yet. STO is not a bad game, but it builds upon the same ideas as all other mmo's, and I'm not such a huge fan of the franchise. BDO is disgustingly korean-style, the gameplay is repetitive as fuck and it has SO MANY quests that play the same, it gets boring pretty fast.

Secret World Legends

>Not a huge fan of Star Trek
Haven't watched enough by a fucking mile, but you can fix that no problem.

I played the original for a while, I loved the atmosphere and style, but it wasn't that great, especially in combat. How fare the new one?

He ship builds in STO get phenomenally complicated, you can three or four equipment sets on a ship, maybe more to juggle synergetic bonuses and extra abilities. That alone has made the games PvP better in my eyes than any MMO since Warhammer Online.

Yeah it sounds like you dont even like mmos in the first place

I've had my long history with mmo's. It's probably I'm burnout, but that does not mean everything I've played in the last years have been a copy of a copy. Some try to innovate, like GW2 did, but they all seem to end up failing in balance or content.
