The game's a nightmare to someone like me who worries about missables in games

I get why xiv-threads are on Sup Forums instead of /vg/, but /divg/ seems fine so far. What's the point of making new threads here?

This one is for shitposting.

shitposting and cropped porn, mainly

also based Eder poster

>quoting IGN

The game just came out, give it a few more days, maybe a week, and you'll never see one of these threads on Sup Forums again anyway

This is how it goes every single time any new game releases, Sup Forums is going to have frequent threads discussing it for a while until they die down and anyone who still cares goes to /vg/

MOD FOR LUCKY CHARM APPLYING TO YOUR WHOLE PARTY WHEN

>ign

Its a new game
Its very good
people on Sup Forums want to talk about it

Tell the TES and fallout fags that.

Daily reminder he is /ourguy/

The game is obviously good but I ruined it for myself by having two summoners, even tactician is way to easy then.

Oh wow how strange it is that two of the most commercially successful video games of this decade still frequently get discussed on the video game board

divinity bros and pros can you asnwer my question? i dont wanna make an undead before i know

Poison resistance is why poison heals you in the first place, if resistance is over 100% that element heals instead of damages

No idea about the other thing

you get healed by necromancy as normal

>11 critics

...

What is this? Should I install it?

6/10 long ass loading times

- user

So far the only flaws I've found with the game (I'm still in the first area) is that almost all of your party options are insufferable, and you can't make 4 custom characters without doing some horseshit like running the game 4 times

I think it is the editor.

>Baran Levere's Ring of Bartering
>doesn't have bartering
wew

>game has good critic reviews
>"y-yeah well check the user scores!"
>game has good user scores
>"y-yeah well check the critic scores!"
>game has good user and critic scores
>"y-yeah well reviews don't matter"
why do you guys hate fun so much? the only main complaint i hear are some builds are overpowered, as if this is some glaring flaw for a single player RPG.

Reminder that there are 48 unique spells that you can only get via crafting

divinityoriginalsin2.wiki.fextralife.com/Crafted skills

In those game I always restart 3-4 times before actually playing the whole thing. Now im level 8 and unhappy about some of the decision I took and how I leveled so ive to restart. I just cant fucking help myself
And if you think respec solve that problem youre clearly not having that problem yourself. Respec doesnt erase the shouldve and wouldve.

>End my turn
>Alt-tab back to Sup Forums while the enemy takes a billion hours to do his shit
Great game, Larian

Also reminder that there are unique spells you can only get from Source Masters and they only give you a spell if you ask for their help when you're already at 3 Source points

Jahan gives Summon Inner Demon and Ryker gives Charm Voidling and there are no other ways to obtain these spells

Not sure if anyone else has unique ones like this

>and you can't make 4 custom characters without doing some horseshit like running the game 4 times

What happens if you kick them out of your party?
Do they stand around on the ship like the companions?

I will never understand people like you, but then again I've always been the type to start an RPG and do everything I can on that one character and never replay it

ah, of course! that makes a lot of sense. thanks
also thanks

You have to run the game 4 times and then connect all of them to a LaN game
It's shitty

go honor mode then
maybe the AI is slightly better

>not having two monitors
inb4 it makes muh gpu run hot

take the lone wolf route then you fucking moron, you get very, very strong bonuses for running it

>this is considered as one of the best RPGs to ever come out
We truly regressed as a species.

Please tell me Arx is the last area of this game and I'm almost done with it. This shit sucks.

>What's the point of making new threads here?
its a new release and apparently it's good

you can push it to /vg/ if it still gets constant threads a month or two after release

I pirated it, fuck Larian.

is the first one good?

why is some CRPG suddenly so popular?

Chapter 2's start at the ship sucks balls

Yeah but do you have to do this every time?
And if not, what happens if you dismiss the custom characters from the party?

indie shit

check steamcharts
it's at 55k right now

This game is really dumb and not in the good way. It feels worse in every aspect but graphics.

hey senpai, i heard you like killing merchants

Honestly I forgot that was a thing
Still doesn't really solve the problem though

I haven't done it personally, my computer couldn't handle it, so i haven't tried. I just know that's the way to do it.

How do you get to the Paradise Downs waypoint?

Good CRPGs are few and far in between. Also 2017 has been a shit rpg year.

I played Original Sin 1 for the good combat and this feels like worse combat than that because of the starship enterprise armors that turn every encounter into a pure DPT race, simplified universal AP and awful new initiative system,

Very disappointed desu

>Jahan gives Summon Inner Demon

This skill is insane, 1SP/1AP and you get a temporary terrify skill that has 1 round cooldown, lasts for 2 and it does a fuckton of damage to magic armor

Reminder that the Persuasion skill is significantly more important than the stats themselves in determining whether a persuasion succeeds or not and persuasion opens up completely different ways to approach most quests

It's very worth it to make one person have persuasion as their focus for their civil skill, or at the very least put 2 points in it on your main character

With 0 persuasion I never succeeded in any checks even with my best stat, but with 5 I have yet to fail one even with my worst stat

>Ys 8
>Divinity
>Mh Stories
>Nioh
>Nier
>Xenoblade 2
>Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon

i dare you to call it shit again

Whats the most fun play though? Whats your team like right now Sup Forums?

This game looks boring and garb af.
t. rpgfag

What do with essences and Tormented Souls?

Levels are too important. Everything spikes from one level to the other. Level scaled loot shopkeepers suck too.

It also gives you a pretty significant buff to intelligence, on top of a damaging aura and a huge chunk of magic armor

I'm playing an elemental mage with my skill points spread very thin between all the magic schools and the raw int buff is a godsend to make up for my skill points and make my nukes hit harder

Even my ending slides feel bugged. This game felt like Early Access.

Your right. Pokemon isnt bad.

Where are the rpgs?

*accompanies your battle music*

>What is replayability

...

woah, what game is this user?

This is the kind of skills I would gladly spend SP on.

>when you're already at 3
fucking lame

I don't know if I want to sound as much like a prick as OP does, but it really is one of (if not the) best game of the year.

Downright amazing.

You are definitely not an RPGfag, saying that.
t. actual RPGfag

no it's not
the Enhanced Edition that comes out for the PS4 will be GOTY, not this beta test garbage

>game does well
>Sup Forums is "BTFO" and mocked as crying wojaks

>game does poorly
>Sup Forums celebrates and has threads dedicated to laughing at its failure

fags

>30 fps
>lowered difficulty for consoles a la PS4 version of OS1 that still caused 80% of consoles to not be able to pass the tutorial
>"the real version"
topwew

>Controler
>30fps
>no mods
>"enhanced"
8/10 bait

honestly it's pretty great
only other game with this much love to detail is Gothic 1+2

what's exactly good about it?
I don't see it

feels like a modern prototype of ultima

Developers/publishers expecting people to pay for a digital "copy" is like commissioning an artist to make a painting or sculpture for $100,000, but when the painting or sculpture is finished they just send you a jpg of it and still expect you to pay because you are still able to experience the piece whether you have it or not.
If you would not pay the $100k for the jpg like the artist is asking but you give money to Steam or GOG or itunes or whatever else, then you are a hypocrite.

Third island 5th Chapter coming hot as lvl 16, getting 17 instantly. Don't have any problems in fights.

Should I rise difficulty from classic?

...

Being the greatest RPG is akin to being the tallest midget.
Sure it's nice but nobody really gives a fuck.

Now if they ever put on their big boy pants and take a stab at ARPGs let me know.

Nice for you.

ARPGs have been dead for years user. What was the last good one TQ?

kek I love shit like this

Wouldn't even know where to begin. Imagine a really challenging PnP style RPG where you're given total freedom in what you do with the world. The combat is also very satisfying if you love tactical type games.

Also it has online multiplayer and and Game Master mode where you can straight create your own PnP game/world/stories etc and host them for other people to play with you as the "god" of their game.

You are mentally ill.

>isometric
go to sleep dad
no one wants to play 1970s games

I'm surprised no one has started making a choose your own adventure ye Sup Forums style using game master mode

are you fuckin stupid?

>isometric rpg
>in 2017

>no "highlight all interactive elements" button
Jesus fuck.

physical copies are the dick in the ass and their ancient technology by now. Why would anyone waste their money on physical? It's worthless. Why do you think there's no CDs nor audio tapes any more?

I second this.

Poe? Its not that good tho.

Escape from Tournament Planet

Going to finish the main game and do one more play on tactician and then I'm going to make a game for it.

>The combat is also very satisfying if you love tactical type games.
the combat is a huge drag, it takes fuckin ages

Are ranged weapons worth it?

I love that about the combat. The fight at the oil field seriously took me an hour and I loved every minute of it. It was so tense.

Eventually, maybe. Game's only been out for a week. So far modding looks like it's been going well, far stronger than for the first game.
