Lets play a game. Hum a tune from your first Zelda. Now hum a BOTW original tune.
I'll wait.

Better luck next time, OP
*Dark World Theme*
...*Chest opening jingle*
>hum the battlefield theme
>hums battlefield theme
>hum the call of duty theme
>silence
>LoZ1 main theme
>Kass' tune from BotW
>BotW's main themesong
Kinda hard to hum the attack on the elephant theme
Whistling might work
>implying these don't sound like generic FF music
Sounds like the groose theme if it were less rememberable
How is this relevant to anything in this thread, or the main point in the OP
>rememberable
Are you retarded?
You started a game, they won. You can't change the rules just because you're mad about losing, that's what children do.
...
Ok, I hummed the Ballad of the Wind Fish and Tarrey Town, what do I win?
youtube.com
>dem goalposts
>throat can't hum that high
FUCK
Shutup I'm just mad okay
Anyone else really rig the Paragliding minigame song?
I agree, Botw's music was pretty weak.
>I agree
With what
It wasn't weak, it just played a much smaller role compared to the other games. The minimalistic approach wasn't bad, but I did wish they played a few songs sometimes in the field kind of like Minecraft does very rarely.
Examples are a few songs like the champion themes (which are phenomenal) but aren't really memorable because they play in one small scene in a long ass game.
Shame they butchered the theme in BF3/4/Hardline.
At least it returns in BF1.
youtube.com
Though not as good as the original IMO.
youtube.com
All the percussion in the BF1 theme ruins it.
Can we make this a general vidya game music thread?

How does xenoblade 2 already have GOAT music when it hasn't come out yet?
Boy the sound of wind and footsteps sure is immersive, especially since it makes the mokoblin grunts and "YA HA HA!" really stand out.
It's much more immersive than
this youtu.be
or this youtu.be
or this youtu.be
All of those just sounded annoying and became really stale after awhile.

Is this the /comfy/ song?
I hummed the Ballad of the Windfish from LA
Then I hummed the Hyrule Castle theme but it turned into the windfish theme because the opening notes are surprisingly similar
I want to hum the molduga theme because it's amazing but I only heard it like twice.
My personal favorite GT track.
youtube.com
I won't lie while BOTW had some serious issues, the soundtrack for me was not one of them. The riding track during day and night was good. The musics tracks for general combat and guardian combat are sweet. And then the final push into Hyrule Castle was awesome.
Probably just have shit taste but whatever,
>5 years
>nostalgia
Good track though
Please post more my homie
5 years feels like a long time for a twenty year old. I was 15 then, the song reminds me of that time
>Now hum a BOTW original tune
already did, but you cant hear it so I will post a youtube link to it
youtube.com
*Revali's theme intensifies*
That, the track the other guy posted and these two are literally all that's been officially released. There's some more tracks that can be glimpsed in the background of the trailers with people talking over them but that's it for now
youtube.com
youtube.com
Literally the first trailer AKA ending theme. What do I win?
Although the fight was lacklusture the atmosphere is amazing, in particular the music
I didn't think they would top the soundtrack of the first game but they just might.
>BOTW has bad music
Can this meme just die already?
youtu.be
I hum breath of the wild's Hyrule castle theme all the time.
In terms of themes
Sidon>Revali>Mipha>>>>rest
>theme that isn't even in the game
lmoe
Are you deaf
source me up plz
there is an alternate version of it playing during the final boss but the very same theme is not in the game you retard
This theme plays in-game though...
BoTW music is designed specifically so that it is not easily recreateable. I'd like to see a highschool marching band steal THIS game's music.
EH REH
>youtu.be
You think Kondo jerks himself off over this?
I would.
then post it, I never heard it when playing, the menu is silent, the ambient music is not the one from the trailer in the slightest either
when does it play pray tell?
Did you even play the game?Literally once you step out of the Cave of Resurrection
At the end, and at the start (iirc)
It's the staff roll theme. Technically, part of the game.
It's remixed several times throughout, as well.
This will always be ingrained in my mind just from the sheer terror in game that follows those opening notes
are you fucking kidding me it plays a 10 second section of it, not even the whole thing, how can you classify as "it's in the game" you fucking sperg, you hear the full song only in the end credits, yours is blatant logical fallacy, fucking kys
>Mfw I hummed the tune from the guardian fight, the end credits song, and hyrule castle for weeks after beating the game
Try again fuckhead.
>gusty gardens
10/10 pick, GOAT theme
>Technically
of fuck off retard, the game has great music but the main theme is barely heard in 99% of it, stop memeing
...
>when does it play IN THE GAME
>well here is where it plays
>NU UH FALLACY FALLACY
What
I WISH that song was actually in the game but it was only in the trailers and partly remixed for the final boss.
They did the same with this trailer song. Both fucking fantastic but not in the game:
youtube.com
The remix is better than the original though, imo. Dissonance is great
>y--you just moved the goalpost!
>says the retard the shouted IT'S ABOSLUTELY IN THE GAME, THE WHOLE THING
>then posts a 5 second demo that plays 1 time
fucking lmao
>end credits
>IN GAME
wow great argument faggot guess that half life 2 has no music because the end credits don't have one then? fucking die
youtube.com
Just because it's not melodic, doesn't mean it's bad.
BOTW has the best soundtrack out of any Zelda game. It's extremely immersive, and beautiful when it needs to be.
youtube.com
Take a deep breath user.. Its fine.. everything will be okay
>>says the retard the shouted IT'S ABOSLUTELY IN THE GAME, THE WHOLE THING
No he didn't, the original post was just posting an original BotW song that he could hum. Then you said it wasn't even in the game, which is incorrect. Off yourself desu.
You never said the whole thing though? That is classic goalpost moving
>He doesn't remember Kass's theme
youtube.com
>or the story trailer
youtube.com
kys
Full theme plays during the credits. Also
youtube.com
>You

BotWs music truly is the ultimate pleb filter, these people have shit taste
>tune is in the game
>tune is not in the game
t. brainlet
>trailer
Ehhh it doesn't count, but okay, Kass' theme is good
What's strange is I didn't play a Zelda till I was past 18, Twilight Princess was my first, I never had an interest in the series growing up. Despite this, without realizing it, I hummed the Door of Time theme from OoT. Guess it stuck with me more.
As for Breath of the Wild, that jingle on Death Mountain that's like bits and pieces of the Goron Village theme. If the point of the thread was to say that Breath of the Wild's OST wasn't as iconic as the other games, I guess I can agree with that, but cancelling out the constant background music to focus on ambience was a deliberate choice, it doesn't seem like too solid a criticism.
BotW has the worst soundtrack not only of a Zelda game, but of ANY game ever. It's fucking trash. Even this shit is more memorable and enjoyable than any BotW tune: youtube.com
Would you rather hear this for HOURS straight
youtube.com
or this
youtube.com
BOTW music gets out of your hair, and lets you appreciate the SOUNDS of the wild.
It's great, and I wish more games would let the sounds of the game shine, rather than drowning it out with soundtrack.
>being this ass blasted
It's okay to have bad taste in music user, you don't need to be so hostile.
lol
t. brainlet
People tend to forget the scale of the game determined how they wrote the music. That's some tricky shit to manage, as it has to sound good, but it can't get annoying.
>BOTW music gets out of your hair, and lets you appreciate the SOUNDS of the wild.
Almost like listening to the BREATH OF THE WILD?!
BOTW balances it perfectly. The bombastic melodic soundtracks of other Zelda games are great, but they would get extremely repetitive if placed in a world as big as BOTW's.
Why are you so ass blasted over the discussion of a song in a video game. This is probably the most petty thing I've seen on this board. But then again the music in botw is a pleb filter for brainlets like (You).
youtu.be
Is this perfection?
what if botw was my first zelda?
im not the only one who sees this right?
Get outta here Keith
>Let's play a game. Hum a tune from your first Vivaldi concerto. Now hum a Katy Perry original song.
>I'll wait
Yeah, Its nothing wrong with having a bombastic soundtrack, but with how botw is designed they pulled it off perfectly. Those quiet sections between the notes makes it so you can hear all the wildlife and since you explore for such long periods of time out in the open it doesnt get overbearing like hearing the hyrule field theme from OOT would in this type of setting. The only music in botw im not a fan off is the theme during the tests of strength, its too repetitive
A bit off-topic, but do we know what the story DLC will be about? I think my open-world fatigue is gone and now I'm awaiting DLC pack 2.
