Mechanics aren't that smart they're just trying to confuse you to sell you unnecessary repairs don't fall for their crap.

yeah i haet when that happen XD
tfw brainlet :p

>game has mechanic
>only really works when you aren't even trying to do it

>game is explaining mechanic
>accidently press button and skip page
>don't know the mechanic

i refused to learn gwent. i forfeited any "mandatory" games they threw at me.

I can utilize a wavedash. I still do not understand what the fucking point is aside from dodging a fox lazer. Specifically a fox lazer too. what is the goddamn point. I just run and I keep up with a few friends who can also wavedash.

There was this space RPG for the DS that I had with a 7 hour long tutorial and thousands of explained strategies and mechanics.

Complete insanity, the game wasn't even all that fun.

reroll, going for a 7 this time

Your loss, gwent is the shit

wavedashes do not dodge fox lasers. All it does is reposition yourself slightly left/right very quickly without making your character perform a run.

youve been posting this exact thread for like the past 4 years

Wavedashing is almost always for repositioning.
It lets you do things like shimmy forward and Fsmash people without needing to crouch and lag a little first.

Why are game mechanics called mechanics?

>game has a mechanic
>too lazy to use it
>don't want to be a autistic to benefit from it
Fallout 4s weapon bench was a mistake.

>game has a mechanic
>never tells you about it
>no tutorial, no explanation, not even a hint
>only find out when someone else mentions it 10 years later

What

I despise crafting. The only games I can stand it is Factorio and Terraria

So you've been playing SpaceChem then?

It's not even crafting, it's just another kind of currency.

Look up the definition.

>old game has a mechanic
>don't expect it from a new game
>rediscover it the hard way

>loading screen gives advice
>it's no longer valid in higher difficulties
>it's left in anyway

>game has crafting
>instantly get access to craft 15-20 recipes which all require unique 50+ items which have haven't come across yet
Ease me into this shit

>Game is fast paced hyper and amazing for 5 hours.
>Shitty collect the crap crap mechanic is introduced making everything tedious and slow.

rawr XD

>Game has a mechanic
>Too lazy to make use of it

Alchemy in Elder Scrolls or other superfluous crafting systems come to mind. Picking herbs and hunting down ingredients to make slightly better versions of crap I find everywhere already never seemed fun at all.

>caravan

>game has vast number of mechanics
>tells you nothing about them in-game
>have to look up everything on-line

>Zarya's charge mechanic

I simply don't get it.
Like, I understand that taking damage while shielded gives you charge, which boosts your own damage, but the shield duration feels so short that it doesn't seem viable to block any damage whatsoever with it.

For me it's the "harmonic combos" from Jade Empire. I never understood how to do them, and never cared about them. Pretty cool game, anyway.

Sounds like Infinite Space. One of the few games I ever returned for a refund. It seemed like a cool concept but it just wasn't fun.

What game has the most difficult game mechanic to understand?

Battle system from Resonance of Fate. I should try playing that agani.

Any crafting system in a game that doesn't involve simple recipes like x+y=z

I need to get around to doing a low speech run just so I can see what the alternate dialog could possible be

tetra master

Do this faggot

>game has mechanic
>it's not complicated but takes so much mindless effort that you don't feel any satisfaction from doing it
I will never understand Counter Strike or fighting games in general.

Please explain gwent to me.
