Divinity: Original Sin 2

what's your party look like?

my main is fane (poison/pyro mage) and in chapter 1 and 2 I had the red prince, ifan and sebille in my party. now that I left fort joy I could rearrange the members again while I'm on the boat.
is there a reason to swap to beast or lohre? and if so, who should I swap out?
>sebille as a rogue is a killing machine, I don't want to let her go.
>ifan deals some good range dmg and I kinda like him as a character
>red prince is my only tank

what do, Sup Forums? those choices are killing me

GOober alert. All your party should be custom

Dagger or 2h, which is best?

depends on class, obviously

you can respec for free whenever you want in chapter 2 anyway so just mess around and try whatever looks fun til then.

The way this shitty class system works, you just give every character every skill because theres no point in specializing.

So I got the Unusual Artefact from the Surrey tomb and the journal says it's the artefact Tarquin's looking for but he won't acknowledge I have it and the quest doesn't move forward, what am I missing?

Are you stupid? Spreading out skills give you a fraction of the damage bonus.

>I have no idea what I'm talking about
Just because it's not a rigid class system doesn't mean it's Skyrim.

Is it me or is the release version significantly easier than the early access one? I'm kinda blazing through those skellies outside of Fort Joy without much trouble while in ea they were hard as shit. Should I switch to tactician?

I've always thought isometric games looked cheap.

feels good knowing i'll never be this jaded

This game really makes me wish you could kill merchants and take their stuff

>while in ea they were hard as shit

you can, can't you?

It's pretty great then that Div:OS2 isn't isometric..

>play easy mode
>wonder why game is easy

I bet you use 4 summoners too.

Classic was nerfed from early access, yeah. Tactician is harder than the alpha, though.

But if you have a mage with 2 in all elements your damage will be garbage

so... any suggestions for OP?

You'll also be a godlike support.

They don't drop what they sell.

>Google, "what is an isometric game"
>Get, In video games and pixel art, "isometric" refers to some form of axonometric projection (commonly, the form of dimetric projection with a 2:1 pixel ratio) where the viewpoint is angled to reveal other facets of the game environment than are typically visible from a purely top-down perspective or side view
> where the viewpoint is angled

Fane Rogue
Ifan wayfarer
Red Prince Fighter
Lohse Enchant

Good party?

>using a mage for damage

pure support is kinda pointless, since support only really works for tanky characters, and most magic schools want you to be paper stat-wise to get bonuses.

enjoy buffing your team for one round then being useless for the rest, since you can't break armor with a piddling 20 damage fireball (while enemies do 100+).

i cant find an option to angle my characters (so that they cant get backstabbed). as soon as my AP reaches 0 the turn just goes over to the next one.

i know you can sometimes turn around for 0 ap but i want to do it at the very end. not possible?

This inventory system is a nightmare with all the fucking useless shit that clutters it up. The MMO loot doesn't help.

Horrible interface.

stop picking up useless clutter, dipshit

Why is it there to begin with?

>wizard
>enchanter
>battlemage
>rogue

good combo?

Once your Ap hits 0 (and you have leftover movement radius that costs no AP) you have a split second to move you character, I often use it to escape from melee range.

Game still feels like early access. Everything is bugged in one way or another.

Has anyone managed to get the release version working with Wine? I know alpha worked pretty well, but I can't get it playable now.

That's only half of the artifact. You need to go to crimson Island ans get the other half

>enjoy buffing your team for one round then being useless for the rest,
Shitter detected.

And how the fuck would you know which clutter is useless with the horrible crafting system this game has?

how so? I've just started chapter 3 and haven't run in any problems yet

Why dont you say your actual skill trees and their role, ie support/ tank/ damage dealer

to trigger your autism

to be there
"WOAH WHY DO I HAVE THIS BASKET THAT I PICKED UP IN MY INVENTORY?!"
Do you want me to link you a fucking guide? Are you so retarded that you pick up literally everything just in case it's part of a recipe?

>wizard
dmg
>enchanter
support/dmg
>battlemage
tank
>rogue
dmg

What's the best crpg story/ambience-wise? This one really doesn't do enough to make me want to keep playing I feel like.

Seems alright

I'd recommend a necro or summoner though
Also rogue should be elf

...

sebille is the rogue
the wizard has some necro going on, not specialised though

This game is tiring. Itemization is lackluster. The scaling of the combat feels off. There are way too many trash encounters. Everything has to be on fire and full of dangerous environments all the time but it doesn't matter because everyone, including you, has magic armor so it's all useless and just serves to distract you.

I'm bored. This game bores me. My weapon just vanished out of thin air and I no longer have it. I'm not too worried. I'll find a new better one within the next half hour, this game throws items at you like shit at a wall.

>play first game
>honor mode
>first town
>dig grave
>it explodes and kills both my guys

i wasnt expecting that

>Do you want me to link you a fucking guide?
Really? You defend horrible design choices with 'lol just use a guide'?
Are you suggesting you should look up every item that you find in the game in a guide before picking it up? Are you really doing that?

I mean, really?

My Ultimate Team:

Custom Fighter (Sword & Shield) with Polymorph.

Ranger Ifan

Pure Aerothurge/Hydrophist Lohse (with 1 in summoning)

User of all, master of none Fane (a balance of Geomancer, Pyro, Necro, Summoning and 1 in Hydro just for that emergency heal.

Optimal? Hell no, but it sure is liberating making characters with creative freedom. The only thing I've had trouble with so far was those Scarecrows (which I was 3 levels below).

Edér really fucked these threads up, didn't he? You can't say anything remotely negative about this game or you're Obsidian.

...

I am suggesting you pick up shit you know what to do with instead of the clutter that upsets you so much

Or just an idiot.

WTF i think this game is perfect now!

Is that a yes?
I honestly can't tell with you reaction image spamming kids.

Another overrated isometric rpg that tries to cash in on nostalgia. The original was a very mediocre game. It was very slow, with a stupid and boring story, and combat which was tedious and grindy. The sequel fixes nothing except better graphics and some better writting.

This game appeals to a vocal minority of neckbeard nerds who think the apex of rpg gaming is what they played when they were teens. Thankfuly this niche is shrinking so games like these will dissappear eventually.

If you want a good rpg, play Witcher 3. Avoid this unless you want to waste your life on reliving your childhood.

Summoners are OP as fuck, you get a summon and 2-3 totems, which are basically autopilot turrets with pretty good AI.

Original Sin 2 is a very shitty game with awful writing, but at least it's no open world trash like The Witcher 3.

No, it's a you're a crybaby who cries about game design on Sup Forums because he's shit at games.

>If you want a good rpg, play Witcher 3
Hahaha, oh my fuck. You wouldn't know a good RPG if it hit you in the face.

FOUR KNIGHTS
FOUR BLOOD RAINS
FOUR THE BLOOD GOD

> totems
> good AI

are we playing the same game?

do you jerk off to your contrarian attitude?

Well, they're not going to work well with shitty placement, user.

fane poison/pyro with some warfare abilities and fire staff, planning to stack fire resistance and go nuts by standing in the middle of inferno and poison
red prince summoner (1 ap fire aoe for fire turrets and summon)/shield tossing tank
beast enchanter
wonder what should i do with ifan, a bow user with elemental arrows and polymorph?

how to fix loading times pls help

>Escape Fort Joy!
>By breaking into Fort Joy!
>Oh, just kidding, you only escaped the Fort Joy Ghetto
>You're still stuck on Fort Joy island, which you need to escape
I feel like the first game's first act was much better paced and narratively structured. That they keep using Fort Joy interchangeably to refer to the island, the ghetto and the fort itself kind of makes things confusing.

I wish you had to legitimately look for a way out that's not through the fort itself which would be the final area of Act 1 instead, with allies/resources you built up over the act's course at your disposal.

Don't get too triggered.

Ah come on man, I actually LIKE the Witcher 3 and even I wouldn't fall for that bait.

>save the elf in Griff's Kitchen
>follow him to his cave
>proceeds to sit in a pool of poison from a previous fight
>gets damaged, walks around, sits back in the pool
>every time he dies I get blamed and start combat
>leave the cave because fuck it
>come back a while later and someone tells me to confess to a murder

Thanks Larian. Fucker was too low for me to explode and rain the pool too. Wasted a fucking frost armor scroll on the idiot. Now the blind elf is sad and the save before he died is hours ago.

and you're an even bigger moron.

my ifan is a ranger/support
mostly huntsman but with one point in a few of the magic skills to get all those sweet 1ap buffs and heals.
make him fast as fuck and drop encourage and ton of other buffs turn 1

How much fucking memory /wits/con do I need to tame the condor went to respec and had 36 fucking con and he still refused

Just clean the puddle, you fucking moron

how to heal the decomposing status?

>Just clean the puddle, you fucking moron

You can do that? How?
I mean it doesn't matter, I'm not going to reload a save from 2 hour before for this cunt.

>That they keep using Fort Joy interchangeably to refer to the island, the ghetto and the fort itself kind of makes things confusing.
Not really, no. It becomes obvious pretty early on that it refers to the island itself, which is divided into the ghetto, the hold/fortress, The Hollow Marshes, etc. Besides, it's the naming conventions are barely relevant. As a side note, I've just found a thread on Larian forums where a guy spent 150 hours on the island. How is that even remotely possible? Even if you play Honour mode with a group of gimps, there isn't nearly enough content in there to spend 150 hours on in a single playthrough.

No idea, the Persuasion in this game is stupid. I just failed to persuade some tiger with 27 wits and 6 persuasion.

Most Polymorph skills benefit from strength, but chameleon cloak can be good on him with some scoundrel levels to fire those backstab arrows.

Fortify

>playing outdated pirated copy with memory leak and save file corruption

Enjoy your time until you hit the gamebreaking crash.

Literally water. Use the rain spell/scroll.

Cast rain I always thought water turned into poison making it worse but it actually cleans it up

i feel like offensive poly is not the point of school, it's mostly for movement and utility like magic shield stripping or cooldown removal
actually, wings and cooldown removal sounds good even for my main magic damage dealer

>downloader on an .exe

Persuasion actually requires you to pay attention to the dialogues and consider the intricacies of the NPCs.

Just break a water barrel over it.

as far i can tell your actual stats do fucking nohting and its all entirely down to your persuasion stat
its fucking stupid, you pretty need a party member to dump into the stat and make them talk to everyone

That removes decaying, not decomposing. I want to heal that magister in the crypt in hollow marches.

So are the downloads on GOG? This is literally a mirror site, albeit incomplete.

Didn't know that. I'll use it the next time an NPC tries to attempt suicide by PC

Oh shit right you can right click him and examine the debuff but I don't think decomposing has a cure
