Holy shit, I only played the game once since Lola joined in. Now I went, got all the badges, spent cash on new Arms and played some Party Crash. Fucking fun, even if people can be assholes at times. Ribbon Slut still a best if I had to pick, Springaling is just a lesser Max Brass wannabe, who I main and love.
Ribbon baby here. What are the tactics with her? Also any more.news on that graphic novel coming out?
Jace Morris
Ribbon is best played when you start on the ground and teach the other side you're more into evansion there. Then you slowly start jumping around a bit more, confusing them when you'll fall - will you jump once? Twice? Three times? Confuses them, since they're used to one or two, with most players using a jump and a dash, so any time you you fuck off their timing, you win. Also, I can't play without two Slapamanders.

Why is her hair the weapon in a game literally called "ARMS"?
It's like if there was a game titled "Ass Kicking", and every character used their feet to kick ass, except for one which used their head to headbutt ass.
Adrian Long
She's a unique case, the only one to have the arms gene in her hair.
Grayson Walker
What are the rewards after level 10?
Zachary Walker
bump
Also anyone tried playing with an arcade stick? What's the best layout?
Jace Moore
>Also anyone tried playing with an arcade stick? Yes.
>What's the best layout? Not playing with an Arcade Stick.
Hudson Bell
I'd fuck her pussy, if you know what I mean
Nicholas Peterson
ARMS is the name of the weapons you fight with, not the arms themselves.
Connor Ortiz
unfortunately it looks like the spring menace has been gaining more victories.
Brandon Ross
I've tried pic related, but I don't feel comfortable.
Jaxson Ortiz
Shame, people don't know true beatury when they see it.
Now, if it was Max Brass VS everyone next time, I could see it as an actual fight for him
ban in 3... 2... 1...
Ian Reed
Bless this post.
Brandon Perez
Haven’t played since summer. Someone give a quick rundown on what’s new.
David Long
>waiting minutes for matches >it's still a campfest Yea, nah. Should have bought physical so I could ditch this turd.
Joshua Mitchell
Two new fighters, badges, Splatfest-like events, new Poison element, new stages, tons of fixes to fighters here and there. I don't know when you stopped playing, but it's the best time to try now, since Party Crash is going
Charles Murphy
>>waiting minutes for matches >>it's still a campfest Both of those are false though
Jaxson Ward
The game rewards aggression, and ranked matchmaking is based on location.
Brody Kelly
this guy's the real MVP thanks for making another thread OP, doesn't seem like threads are getting much traction but I assume everyone is playing the event.
Brandon Wright
>Waiting minutes for a match >playing ranked when an event is going on
played yourself m8
Nolan James
What level are you guys in the event. 14 here, will probably stop at 20 or until I need to leave.
Jaxson Price
Yeah I'm having a lot of fun with this Party Crash. I hadn't played ARMS in a long time before Misango came out (you can blame Splatoon 2 for that) but this game is still as fun as I remembered. This kind of event was just what we needed to spice things up.
Bentley Howard
made it to 17 before I had to take a break. As long as you get to 10 I think you're set for the limited badges
Kayden Bailey
They should have had events like this from the beginning
James Cook
I stopped around 11 just to come and see if there's a thread here. I might play a bit more to see what they give out at 15.
We need more tournaments of some kind, something that would make people want to follow the game closer and check who's winning. Splatoon has a ton more shit to go around, since Splatfests are bombastic, there's clothing, taking photos and team play. In ARMS you're kinda on your own, and the gameplay gets a bit chaotic at times, so it's hard to call some good plays from either side - that's probably why no one shares any.
John Thomas
ARMS gets stuff in Japan but NoA and NoE don't want to do anything.
Chase Peterson
Which is weird, considering Japan is Splatoon land, and they might've at least won some people over everywhere else if they just tried. People still have no idea there's an official ARMS Twitter, so barely anyone follows the news.
Kayden Jackson
What are the rewards after level 10?
Nolan Reyes
Are they planning on releasing a new boss based on the data collected? Why bother when you can just read inputs and be an asshole?
John Rivera
I don't think you receive the badges until the event is over, I didn't unlock the first two badges despite being 17. I guess we'll get them all at once come the end of the event.
Juan Taylor
What do you mean? A new boss like Springtron?
Aaron Thompson
It's a shame this game died entirely so fast. It wasn't TERRIBLE, just kind of repetitive/boring.
Daniel Bell
Is Party Crash a worldwide thing? Seems like I was running into the same people in different lobbies, but there seemed to be some Japanese people in them.
Also why would anyone not use the bonus characters and ARMS? You have these Ninjara mains all over the place who just don't care.
Brandon Long
I guess they didn't because it took them a while to even put badges in the game which are important for the event as prizes. Maybe they wanted to see how popular the game was before diving into having events and stuff too.
Landon Barnes
It's alive.
Pretty sure party mode is worldwide. And some people just don't care.
Henry Hernandez
>Pretty sure party mode is worldwide.
Oh yeah, duh. It's just party mode with a bunch of extra features. Maybe there's some regional matchmaking as part of it too because I'm sure I see the same people in different lobbies.
Jordan Myers
Got to 15, doesn't show you.
Ryder Hill
After Level 10 I bet it's randomized badges unique for the event.
Colton Johnson
Gonna stop here so I can leave something for the other days. Bonus multipliers level you crazy fast.
I think all modes prefer your region but party mode looks out of region too for faster matchmaking.
Levi Howard
I want to get in on this but I'm just so god awful at this game I know it won't even be worth it. I just can't for the life of me get a feel for the movement no matter how hard I try.
Isaac Baker
Tried a different control scheme?
Aaron Sanders
Yeah, something like him. At least that's what I think they're gonna do.
Josiah Roberts
An actual Arcade stick is fantastic for most games, but I find Nintendo fighters just fucking suck with them (Smash, Arms, Pokken, etc.).
I didn't mind the pro controller, but I did feel I was at a little bit of a disadvantage.
Brody Diaz
Ribbon Girl is losing! Get your shit together! Please.
Kevin Reyes
Party mode is really casual, there's a bunch of game modes that aren't 1v1 plus the bombs and powerups help randomize things more, and you don't need to do well to get points for the event.
Dominic Lee
Sometimes I feel like I'm complete poop, just gotta keep trying.
The number of Spring Men are just too much, that and Ribbon tends to attract scrubs and waifufags.
Blake Campbell
If anyone want to fight and take a break from party crash.
4736-7102-4713
Connor Reyes
No. I don't care about waifu trash.
Jaxon Gutierrez
As ashamed as I am to admit. I have practically not played the game at all since the release of Splatoon 2. I've had my time full trying to play and complete all the other games on the Switch in addition to Persona 5. There's been like at least one major game each month. I've been looking forward to getting back to ARMS but with the avalanche of high profile titles everywhere it's been really tough to find time to get back into the game.
But I've finally finished Mario Odyssey and then I saw this thing about the Party Crash and I figured that this if anything I could not miss. So I've been playing it the entire day now! And I've been loving it! Playing it again now I strongly feel that it's really such a shame that I couldn't get back into it sooner. I really love the game. I loved it at launch and I love it just as much now. Or rather I love it even more now with all the updates. Not to mention the Party Crash.
Jackson King
I am alright with Ribbon Girl. Not my best but probably my 4th best character. But just you wait until they do the Party Crash with Minmin. Then you'll see. Then you'll see.
Nathaniel Turner
What do you think is the best material to use in making your own Minmin hat?
Eli Turner
I have no idea how to knit. But Minmin's hat is a knitted yarn hat is it not?
Landon Jenkins
It never looks that textured to me
Ethan Hill
I need more pics of Twintelle.
Connor Evans
Guess not. I'm going to do something else.
Nicholas Cruz
No wonder Springman is winning, his fans are way more attractive.
John Reyes
this please Mini Min also welcome
Kayden Morris
How do I get around faster arms? They pick that sprinkle throwing shit and just wait for me to throw a punch, so they can dash and counter. I get completely zoned, the fun and desire to play go out the window.
How do you deal with these cheese tactics in general?
Josiah Allen
Now that I look at it you might be right. I know very little about clothes. But I can still think of nothing but yarn.
Caleb Price
Oh, no, you're definitely right. That's higher quality than I've seen
Parasols or Funchuks. Throw one punch and if they try to dodge and punch throw the other. Standard gloves are pretty good vs. Poppers/Crackers but not the multi-hit light arms like Hydra.
Justin Ross
Never attack with both arms. If the enemy is on your right then it's safer than usual to throw a right punch, because if you throw a right punch but leave your left arm attached, then you can still try to dash to your left to the limited extent that you can with one arm out (but unlike when you've got both arms out you can still get some distance). This way you can throw a punch while still hopefully avoid their punches.
But by the end of the day the way to go to beat quick arms is to take them head on when you've got both arms attached. Block, and counter dash. Then you give them a good old 1-2 and or a grab. depending on your arms.
But even if your opponent keeps chickening out. For as long as you throw more punches than your enemy you'll gain rush meter. And if you gain rush meter before your opponent then you can be more reckless since you can turn an unsafe situation into a safe one that can counter with the rush. For this very same reason though your opponent is most likely going to try to throw punches even if all you do is guard and dodge. And if they do, then you block the punch and counter dash in.
Gavin Clark
When is the Party Crash over? I'm at work for a few more hours.
Ethan Morgan
24th
Brayden Mitchell
It ends tomorrow
Lincoln Harris
The Party Crash ends on Friday. So it's a multiple day event. But there is an an hour each day that's full of x3 multipliers ontop of the regular character+arms multipliers. As opposed to the x3 modifier just being the last five minutes of the hour.
So that hour is more worthwhile to play than any other each day.
Connor Sanders
Are they announcing what hour the multiplier is active?
Between this, the recent Splatoon update and trying to complete Odyssey my Switch time is PACKED
Brayden Bennett
Splatfests should be multiple days.
Asher Thomas
mad cause bad
Alexander Bailey
Well yeah they do. If you open up ARMS and press X you can find the full event schedule for all the days including all the game modes, arms multipliers, and event multipliers. For the full Party Crash event. You just need to scroll down.
But I am unaware what it'll be in your timezone. Your game/Switch should know though.
Jordan King
What are your favorite ARMS?
I love Blorbs >Hard to block >Can pass over shields and Megattons. >Rush feels satisfying. Though, they still can be cunts and pass over a grab so they won’t cancel it.
Caleb Cook
one hit wonder mode is a real man's mode
Matthew Harris
Thanks, I'm not at home but I'll check later.
How is the new character? It looked like his gimmick was wearing different masks , how does that work?
Anthony Rivera
the scorpions have such an insane diversity of options and are fun to spam on the ground, makes me feel like I have little pikmin I'm throwing out
Jonathan Young
One Hit Wonder >1-Hit-KO Matches
All You Can Healock >Headlock Scramble Only
So Much Rush >Quick Rush Gauge Refill.
Sparring Time >Sparring Ring Only
ARMS Labs Selects >Get 2 Random ARMS.
Field Day >Mini Games Only
So Much Headlock >”Headlock VS” matches only
Can someone describe the other events? I have only played these.
Henry Ross
Is this game actually any good or is it just gimmicky waggle tech that gets boring after a few hours and is only good for porn?
Jace Mitchell
>Field day
Time to take a break.
You don't have to waggle, and it depends on how much you enjoy fighters if you're going to get bored of it or not.
Grayson Jackson
Do you like fighting games?
Mason Rodriguez
There are tournaments just the official ones only happen in Japan. There's 2ggp, WNF, Xanadu, and a lot of online tourneys as well.
Wyatt Brooks
Reminder that Rare targets become more common during this event on Warm Up Mode. >They a golden target. >When defeated, they will give you 1 Coin. >There are badges for defeating 1/5/10/15 of them. >They become even more common during special events.
Logan Allen
It's not waggle, the controls are sound, but it suffers from the same lack of content that almost all other fighting games suffers from without having their complexity of execution (imho it's a good thing in a vacuum, but it makes Arms even shorter)
Gabriel Johnson
Cool I didn't know that. Though I did smash a couple during the event today.
Isaac Turner
I've almost exclusively played the game with the pro controller without motion controls. And that works just fine. That said the joycon controls are surprisingly good. I am just not any good with them. And it's by no means waggling. It kind of feels like controlling a legitimate joystick.
But yeah the motion controls, were you to choose to use them, are super accurate. Almost to a fault. Making it almost the opposite of waggling. You need to hold the joycons upright and at the right angle. Then just as if it was a joystick, any angle you tilt the joycon will register as movement. A slight tilt for slight movement and a significant tilt for significant movement. Just like a joystick. It registers minute details which is why it's actually very accurate, but that is also the reason for why you most certainly can't play ARMS waggling because there is almost no waggle room of error.
So take that as you wish. If I had played more games with joysticks I might have even preferred it myself. It's up to you in the end. Both works just fine.
Lincoln Butler
Have you got your Main’s Shiny Badge yet?
Adrian Watson
For most of update 3.0 I played Lola, and for 4.0 until now I've played Misango. Now that Party Crash is up I'll probably get Ribbon's badge, I already have the standard one.
