A base builder like prison architect or something

Make it like a Zoo Tycoon game.

>Hard mode
But it's a horror site/story concept/whatever

Turn-based RPG where you fight progressively stronger SCPs.

You know as a dumb anime kind of thing i can kind of see that working as long as it dosin't take its self seriously.

im playing scp - breach right now. something like it or that one singleplayer game that already exists.

>Dating sim
>Basically XCOM
>Tycoon game, as already said
>SS13 style game
>Something vaguely reminiscent of the Friday the 13th game or Dead by Daylight, where you've got several players as SCP personnel and one (or more) player is one of the various monsters
>Lighthearted platformer collect-a-thon

Puzzle game where you have to use certain safe/euculid object/not-monster SCPs correctly to pass through each level.

You're a skip. Escape the facility.

...

SCP is shit

So is your face.

Dark Souls style where you have a monster become attached to you withe the power of resurrection that essentially turns you into something the SCP has to control but instead turns you into an agent to capture them. There could be bad ends where if you lose to a boss before your prepared or you make a bad decision you end up in a life death loop plaything for the monster that has hold of you. Weapons of every choice in terms of firearms and melee would be available to you from the beginning since you need many a tactic to capture or destroy the monster and a variety of weapons could be numbered SCP you find in the field or unlock through gaining trust from the org. Combat would use the MGS5 engine which was sick and would cater to both sneaking and ranged combat but you would add more combat options for the plethora of monsters and non monsters to fight. Finally it would be cool to create 1 of 2 ways in terms of story where you either have it be an interesting story with alot of depth and exposition for the characters or you only have the SCP organization your handler and you with very little character interactions and no VN style choices. Either way it would be GOAT tier shit.

This would be great. SCPs are always trying to escape/escaping and you have to figure out how to keep them contained by researching them and shit

An Xcom style game where SCPs appear around the world and you send in squads of soldiers/specialist units to capture and detain them. You receive funding from the world's governments based on your performance. There is also an element of base building and you will likely need multiple bases all over the world to store and guard your various SCPs. You could either have there be a win condition at some point or it could be a game where you just try to hold out for as long as possible until a few SCPs break out and everything inevitably goes to shit.

Survival horror game based off of SCP-093, the only SCP entry worth reading

>Not a horror game
So maybe like Papers Please style game were you serve as an agent who has to orchestrate tests and operations regarding the inmates?

make it a comedy

Except it shits the bed near the end through exposition.

you don't

I mean it was good once much like general creepypasta was good. Once again, untalented normalfags and children ruin a good thing.

F.E.A.R. style
You are part of a Mobile Task Force dispatched to contain/eliminate a SCP. Reality bending and mindfuck ensued

Pokemon Ranger

Death Stranding literally looks like an SCP game. To the point where I think Kojima might have just ripped off a bunch of SCPs as visual elements. If I remember right there is an SCP that is just a baby that teleports inside of you.

If done well, that could be amazing.

Pokemon,just with SCP's.

Gotta catch em all

VR Dating Sim

Puzzle game

A game that is one third an XCOM tactics game, one third base design and management, and one third adventure game like Zork.

So Cthulhu saves the world?

Already been done.

Its more the ghost of an aborted reality warper that's trapped its mom in an eternal hell and is trying to force its way back into life.

This is the best bet. Maybe from a GOC perspective since their scout teams fit well like that one story they accidentally breach in on a mind-bender forcing asian hostages (and the scout team) through the Vietnam war.

What was the SCP where it was an alternate world but every single living thing down to the simplest just died? The ending was shit why did that guy feel the need to stay behind and kill himself?

Survival Horror but every chapter is a different SCP and a different character.

You play as a D-Class personnel.

wtf is scp?

holy shit if this is done right
>can research safe scps for funding if sold or tech if kept
>constant raids from factions, mostly serpents hand
>scps can have another effect if time passes, reading on the scps in game can give you a hint on what it is, and if you can stop it
>destroying scps gives you favor with the GOC but reduces funding
>hume is a thing, meaning you can build on mountains to get a higher rating, or go to normal flat ground for a chance of being fucked by a random anomaly exploding the cafe
this has a lot of potential

how new r u?

why are you in this thread

Graphic adventure game with many many many possible way to die, You are a researcher testing SCPs to learn more about them and exploiting their anomalous properties to further your research.

SCP Foundation. They secure contain and protect anomalies.

fuck off newfag

>why did that guy feel the need to stay behind and kill himself?
He found records indicating that the kill event happened at the exact same moment the strike team sent into the anomaly his own team had gone into stepped back into their own world. The implication being that the act of a living being stepping out of the anomaly extinguished all life in that planet/dimension either directly by or bringing back SOMETHING that would.

Seconded. I thought that had one of the more interesting concepts as far as exploring a different world goes.

I find 093 to be really dull honestly, I don't get why people are so obsessed with that one.

This one is really good

scp-wiki.net/scp-3125

(enter 55555)

A linear game with missions could have different objectives like running around maintaining the containment requirements until the generator is fixed, fighting/trying to subdue SCPs, trying to find and capture an SCP, stealth sections where you need to hide from horribly strong SCPs and the obligatory encounters with the meme SCPs.

The problem is that people forgot what SCP was about. It's supposed to be general science fiction, not just horror.

A did you know that world-renowned writer Stephen King was once hit by a car? Just something to consider visual novel.

the odd SCPs are the best

Monster Hunter but with more emphasis on capturing rather than killing

Since when?

A 12 player pvp multiplayer game taking place in a massive underground facility where three teams (4v4v4) of SCP security personnel compete to see who can secure the most SCPs within the time limit. Each team spawns at a specific entry point into the facility far away from each other, friendly fire is off, the SCP's class determines the number of points gained and teams can also purposefully unleash or lure dangerous SCPs to other teams to hinder their progress.

Oh I see now. When I read it at the time I thought he was just put off by everything suddenly dying so the author had him kill himself.

When creepypasta was overtaken by young teenagers worshiping slenderman as a dark god or writing slash fiction of Jeff killer the old /x/iles new it was dead.
Having lost their board to Sup Forums raids and their pastime to retards the /x/iles decided to start their own wikipedia concept about a hidden international organization that finds abnormal things and contains them, like the ending of Indiana Jones.

Like all things, it went to shit and was ruined by the normie masses, which is why I have no qualms spoonfeeding you because you can't ruin what is already dead with your newfaggotry.

093 is one of my favourites but I think it's mostly grandfather'd into people's favourite lists because it was one of the first SCPs to really put some serious effort into an exploration log, and the story it tells is intriguing and interesting enough to catch your attention but not so vague as to sound like the writer's deliberately trying to throw you off.

Back when 093 started becoming really popular, most of the exploration logs were almost literally just:

>Day one: We're going into this place, gee, it surely isn't like the regular world.
>Day two: I'm sure I saw a thing moving oh well
>Day five: MY FRIENDS WENT MISSING I'M SCARED
>Day six: [REDACTED]
>Day ten: BLOOD TEAR FLESH EAT
>Agent [name] was never found the above diary was recovered from a pile of bloody clothes

The older SCP was pretty dull and were mostly short and mostly about a specific monster or item, they weren't (mostly) about wider concepts or settings, which 093 is.

except it was the exact opposite of what you said. over time it became science fiction, and that's fine too. the real problem is wading through the mess of bad OCs, alternate canons, lolfoundation garbage and in the event you actually find a good story there's a very good chance it was a great story that got watered down by the editors because they will censor your horror story if they find it 'gratuitous'.

No, the problem was power level bullshit, a lack of quality control but also an overbearing community leader who takes issues with subtle non-intrusive jokes like the horny doctor that tries to fuck or romance female SCPs or fuck around with SCPs that can be used for sexual purposes.

this. but do it like the original xcom ufo defense, with base-building and research being half and the other half being turn-based squad gameplay of response teams sent around the world

Isn't SCP supposed to be horror?

lol i thought the pic was a severed leg and a corpse

thats the gmod edition of the game

>If they find it gratuitous
Didn't a lot of soy boys and women take up the role as editors which is why good content gets fucked so hard.

This the the best J prove me wrong
scp-wiki.net/scp-777-j

LISA-style RPG where you, an agent, have to explore SCPs and fight the inhabitants inside with the help of your choice of class-d tards, other agents, doctors or the SCPs themselves.

Nah the problem is/was that people started to ignore what little canon there was. The original site was restricted membership (just to make an account you had to be active in the IRC channel and know the admins etc) so all the writers accepted the basic facts/canon of the setting; that the SCP foundation is an organisation that captures, contains and protects anomalous items for the protection of humanity, either in a literal sense (stop a giant monster from eating a town) or in a metaphorical/figurative sense (don't allow anomalous technologies, creatures, concepts or physical laws to fuck up "normal" development). Different writers had their own takes on things and there was a running "joke" of "there is no canon", but everyone knew the core facts and kept to them.

But then newer folk started coming in and didn't understand the context of things, which is how shit like:

scp-wiki.wikidot.com/shaggydredlocks-proposal

Makes its way onto the site.

The whole point of the site originally was that the wiki wasn't just a collection of short stories, the wiki itself was part of the setting; the mainlist is literally supposed to be the SCP foundation's own internal files on the SCPs they have. And now this fucking thing comes along with present-tense second person narration as the bulk of the entry.

How the fuck is that supposed to be an SCP writeup? The entry is supposed to have been written by a researcher and entered onto the SCP database, it's not supposed to be a live, current narration of something from an omniscient unseen narrator about a goddamn ghost story that isn't even fucking related to the actual SCP it's ostensibly about.

I can't describe how much this 001 proposal pisses me the fuck off, and the cunt author's defence of it in the comment pisses me off even more.

It is? I just now of that 1 SCP game where you play as some guy and the whole point is to escape.

ok
scp-wiki.net/scp-1344-j

Not reaaallly . Saying SCP is horror is like saying Men in Black is also horror

So why hasn't the admin just done a purge on all shit entries?

Literally mod a Stalker game

God dammit.

SWAT except you play an MTF member (or various MTF members) and each mission is something radically different in tone and action.
>sent to kowloon to find SCP-184
>encounter local organised gangs, raid various safehouses looking for leads, locals give you dirty looks
>safe houses get larger and larger on the inside, a small apartment is the size of a military base inside
>eventually track it down to the temple which seemingly never ends, become separated from your squad and gradually lose your mind in the endless maze of temple-style rooms
or
>sent to compromised foundation site
>looking to extract survivors
>cockroaches everywhere
>cockroaches clumped together pretending to be survivors
>cockroaches clumped together pretending to be you, mimicking the sounds of your guns

what's the joke here?

i stopped reading after the first color because
>so ive been here for a day and nothing is alive yet but the air is 0.283% thicker
>BUT WHEN I CLOSED THE DOOR THERE WAS A FACE OOOOOOO
>jk its nothing
>OH NO SOMETHING IS AFTER ME AT THE EXACT SECOND I NEED TO GET OUT
oh no there was a thing in the place where you sent the guy to find the thing

That would be saying that SCP is supposed to be comedy, which, apart from a few exceptions, it isn't.

It's the Kool Aid man

Ah.

The horror aspect is the best part of SCP

>Addendum 777-1

>Darkblade has recently taken up the guitar and, being a fast learner, has mastered the skill.

Okay, that was a stroke of genius.

>SS13 style game
I want this so bad. Some gmod servers are kinda like it. but ya know...

SCPs main backbone is horror.
But I do love a lot of the none horrific SCPs that go from just odd to funny to even cute.

Also best SCP coming through.
scp-wiki.net/scp-2030

I know I only said hard mode to see if anons could get creative.
If a real big SCP game came out I would want it to be a horror game.

well then do some research before you bitch about it

>SS13 style game
Might actually work. The game might be spared from the curse, because it wouldn't be a remake.

friendly reminder that there is a scp that is literaly a lactation fetish
scp-wiki.net/scp-686

gotta remember about random events to keep ya on your toes though
>D-Class riots
>some of the staff and D-Class go God Mode from exposure to some weird shit and need to be killed/contained
>one of the meme SCPs breach containment and need to be recaptured
>total world destruction, load back to your last auto save a minute ago fucko.

scp-wiki.net/scp-597

>swelling of mammary gland tissue (causing breast development in males)

Since forever?
I mean shit like the fucking vending machine and the enchancer thing are fucking classics

i feel like that one is fair since it uses sexuality in a way thats truely disturbing, while the milk one is just tit growth

This is literally my answer for everything, but an XCOM type thing where you control squads of operatives hat capture the thingies, but also build bases and do research. You can also go full "destroy all the SCPs" mode, only to be totally fucked when more show up and you still know fuckall about them.

But the whole thing started with creepypastas. The whole concept is things that are dangerous and incomprehensible to people.

That's literally the premise of Annihilation. I wonder if they ripped SCP off.

Yea, dangerous and incomprehensible.
Not scary.

Both the vending machine and the enhancer have the ability to kill, and the vending machine is also possibly sentient.

>Everyone present erupts into raucous laughter, including all nineteen of Mr. Turman's heads.
