How much do you get paid?

$100,000 yearly

I cant believe that you can make that much for shilling.

Where do I sign up?

Oh I don't get paid to shill, I do it for free. I work for Apple though, that's my salary.

>I do it for free
Why would you?

I am certain that HP would pay you quite some money for shitting up this board with the hundred threads about a device which no one cares about.

Does this thing atleast have good linux support, if not you should try on /r/technology.

>Why would you?
because people actually think Sup Forums is relevant (sarcasm)

it's a better device than a macbook that's for sure

And what about linux support.
Can you run debian (without non-free) drivers on it?

>it's a better device than a macbook that's for sure
Not an argument

My argument is in the OP. Sadly macfags can't read.

>active cooling
nope

>actually complaining about superior cooling
lmfao

The Spectre looks and feel amazing. I have the i5 Pavilion x360 and I love it. Wouldn't get one as my new laptop though, I want a dedicated GPU with my next laptop.

4K .. 13.3" what a fucking meme

Still not an argument. Remove your shitty thread Rajesh

KYS

Figured as much for meme-peddling viral marketer. Let me make it simple to you:
N-o-t a-n a-r-g-u-m-e-n-t. R-e-m-o-ve y-o-u-r t-h-r-e-a-d. P-o-o i-n l-o-o.

I don't need one. Macbooks are shit

Still not an argument.

Great, and I who was settled on the yoga 910..

Don't need one.

what about the GPU senpai

>dedicated graphics on an ultrabook
you can't be serious

What about Linux support?

has better linux support than the xps 13/15

And that means?

Do all features work?
Do all features work without proprietary drivers?

Yes

100k at appl how much of a street poor pajeet are you. of course you're dejected. everyone else is making a living wage idiot

I've seen this same thread at least 5 times

(((i wonder who is behind this post)))

>All for less than $1400
$1450*

its well known and obvious that windows laptops have always offered superior specs at lower prices compared to Macs. not sure what the point of this thread is

Apple is always shit

There really are open source drivers for everything?
I kinda doubt that.

>he didn't register for the free discount

>he didn't address the main point

I don't need a reason to bash macfags

nice shit awful text and page rendering btw, idk how people use windows in 2017

are you actually retarded?

>poorfag who hasn't experienced the web how its meant to be viewed

Yeah, and it broke faster than fagbook. Every time I saw someone using hp it broke in a year.

Every time I saw someone using a fagbook it broke within a year.

it doesn't have a discrete GPU. it's dead on arrival.

Holy fuck look at those giant bezels.

>thinner side bezels than fagbook pro and xps series
>larger top bezel than xps for PROPER camera placement
>larger bottom bezel than xps for proper viewing angle
>bad
SHIGGY

>dGPU on an ultrabook
ohiamlaffin.jpg

Yeah, this feels like shill since there's another thread up about this laptop

Just to put my two cents in
>Having a touchscreen is useless without including a stylus
>The stylus for this requires a fuckton of pressure for it to register, rendering it useless

Can't beat Wacom

It has a Wacom Digitizer you dumbass

No it doesn't--it's fucking Synaptics, or however you fucking spell it

THE TOUCH PAD IS SYNAPTICS, THE DIGITIZER IN THE SCREEN IS WACOM

Dickless apple niggers keep getting BTFO by Linux, cucked by Linus's and stallman.

But it runs win10

>list specs
>no word about user experience

Typical Windows user.

reddit.com/r/stylus/wiki/index

You're a dumbass

So it's neither Wacom, or Synaptics. It's Microsoft. Guess we're both dumbasses.

>posts the boost clock of the cpu

that gets me everytime.

>7500U
>TDP Down: 7.5 W Up: 25 W Typical TDP: 15 W3

O i am laffen

>that bezel
No thanks.

Semantics aside, there's a lot of confusion with support over the touchscreen.
Reportedly all the Spectres are capable, but HP is arbitrarily disabling the functionality on models to sell as cheaper units. From a support standpoint, which is fucking huge for digitizers, this raises red flags because it makes it harder to find the appropriate drivers for them at a later date.

The gist is, they simply didn't install the firmware, and to make sure users don't enable the functionality themselves, they limit what software you can get, which may be limiting access to official drivers, firmware, etc.

This is not a new thing, so don't try and even argue this, whether or not they have already done this.

>thinner side bezels than both the xps series, and fagbook
>thinner top bezel than fagbook, thicker than xps so they can actually place the webcam in a non-retarded location
>thicker bottom bezel than both for proper viewing angle

The newer models do not have this problem.

Nah man, I've been down this road before.

It's better just to get a piece of equipment that specializes in doing one thing, than a subpar digitizer paired with a subpar computer.

Wacom had the right idea of releasing and Android tablet that doubled as a standalone digitzer (And I wish I saw this before I ogt my 13HD), but nearly every graphic tablet computer has left me wanting and my wallet substantially lighter.

real talk what is the cheapest laptop with an active/wacom type stylus?

>subpar digitizer
>subpar computer
None of these are substantiated. For the price you're getting better specs than a macbook, and dell xps 13. Just because last generation's models may not have been up to par does not mean the newer models won't knock it out of the park.

If you don't mind used, there's some decent Lenovo Thinkpads--x220T's, that have them. You could probably get them anywhere from $200-$300.

Mind this are old, have a small resolution, small screen, and the digitizer is going to be spotty around the edges (roughly half an inch).

Coming from experience, either get a graphics tablet, or invest the money in a decent graphics tablet computer. Otherwise, another option is to just get an android tablet and resign to doing basic sketches.

>None of these are sub-VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
>I said, no-PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH
>I-I said, I s-said-HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH

Fucking trash

I hope when zen gets released we finally get some good laptops

x220t is what I'm looking to replace. 4 years of use has worn it down.

I'm basically looking for something new, 13" or more, is a convertible as portability is a must. honestly, it's looking like there's a lot a at 12" in the way of surface pro clones, but really just a couple of convertibles.

>complains about shit being trash and brings up zenbooks

KYS

Then you're out of luck--just about every laptop with an active digitizer automatically makes it more expensive.

Other than getting a graphics tablet (because lets face it, most companies don't have enough money to spring for a graphics tablet display for every designer in the company), is to look into getting an android tablet--I bought an open-box Samsung Tab A with Stylus for $200.

Well, I guess this just means I can't go cheap more than anything else. Cost was a nice to have in case I was missing something. So long as I can get something that I can put 4 years on again, 1000 upfront isn't the worst deal. Thanks for the info.

or I can suck it up and get one of the many surface pro clones and settle for 12"

The new HP Spectre x360 models utilize Microsoft/N-Trig technology. This might be troublesome to SOME artists but it definitely fits the needs of note takers, and artists who desire increased strike accuracy. I'd take a look at this if you want a break down.

reddit.com/r/stylus/wiki/index offers a description for the microsoft/n-trig

"Microsoft - Improved N-trig electrostatic pen with replaceable or rechargeable battery."

ticktakashi.com/2014/05/wacom-vs-n-trig-modern-comparison.html

TL:DR:
Pressure - Wacom
Accuracy - N-Trig
Hover - Wacom
Delay - Draw N-Trig
Parallax - N-Trig
Drift & Calibration - N-Trig
Software - Wacom Draw

I've tried the N-Trig several times and never have been a fan.

It starts out fine, but the driver tends to spaz out much too often than I'm comfortable with.

I hate to be biased for the Apple of touchscreens, but I rarely have any issues with anything Wacom, mind you stay away from anything that isn't a fucking digitizer from Wacom.

With Wacom, you're literally buying their driver support.

that said, the wacom drivers for the t220 thinkpad I have been a shit show the whole time. when it works, cool. otherwise shit always seems to go side ways after any updates.

I've used both, and have had none of the issues you've stated to have had with N-Trig. I value accuracy so I vastly prefer N-Trig. I'm sorry your experiences with it were not up to your standards.

>All for less than $1400
Samsung Chromebook Plus is $450.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of the 'Feal' drivers, or whatever they're called.

Any of Wacom's first-party products are stellar, but I've dissapointed with graphict tablet computers one too many times.

>2Ghz CPU
>1MB Cache
>4GB RAM
>2 cell batetery

Absolute garbage

I love it when macfags think power is good because Aplel used it.

They were playing Intel against IBM to get a good price on processors, they literally just went with whatever was cheapest. And that's why they are using DDR3 designed for Atom SoC in the new macbooks.

You would think so but Android fly's on that hardware.
