Serious question

Serious question,

Did you grow up poor/in poverty?

nope but i wish i did, life would have been more interesting

yes
my parents divorced when I'm 7
then I lived with mom
she was so depressed so she couldn't work 2 or 3 days in a week

yes but not extreme so it was pretty nice life was a dream and I could blame it all on other people but I cried a lot so yeah oh and i almost died

thought i was

turns out parents are ultra rich and just didn't want me to be a spoiled faggot. also they're jews basically

Relative to the first world.

My parents are narcissistic cunts that earned their first million by the time they were 20 and were worth 300 million by their 30s, but lost most of their net-worth in 2008. They act like wannabe Rockefellers.

My parents did.

No, I can't say I have but I always was poorer than my friends anyway. Like they all had nice houses with gardens when I had a roof that let rain in, cracks in the wall, they had the PS 3 when I was still playing the PS 1/2, dope bikes when I had a 30 y.o one etc
But I never minded it tb.h

couldn't you tell from the house/appartement you live in?

what do they do?

Well that's the thing: They never allowed him inside the house

no, lived in a shitty house

No.

This exactly
I never felt poor but I guess we were

Of sorts I guess

Development / Construction. They still own a lot of the high value property in my city, but they used to span several states and had several hotels in Miami.

Yes.

No.

Kind of but bot really, we didn't have much money at the very beginning when I was still very little. But about when I got into school my father started earning well... it took a bit for my mother because she had been a slave intern at the hospital for a couple of years but nowadays she actually surpassed him since she has become an attending resident.

This is what you get for not investing with Peter Sheiff.

>THE END IS NEAR. INVEST ON MY COMPANY AND REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS!!!!!

Jokes aside, its good that they work together and had sucess togheter.
Will you follow their steps or you are that son that play vydia. smoke weed and hate your parents on a daily basis?

Not really, my parents had some dificulties for some time, but never got hunger or anything.

*attending physician.. dunno what the hierarchy looks like in the US but I think it's the same

Don't you get along with your parents?

it was hard, my father is in debt of like 20 thousand to the government and still raising since 2008 crisis

>earned their first million by 20

what do they think of trump?
do they maybe know him professionally, since they're in the same business?

Yeah. Grew up in a ghetto and I got a job as soon as I got out of high school in order to help my dad support my mom and 6 sisters. Most of my sisters got jobs right out of high school too, except for my youngest sister. We're all pretty well off now though.

>7 kids
>ghetto
>mom and dad still togheter

And they say that the problem with blacks in america is that they are opressed by "institutionalized racism"...

Just the fact that you got both your parents gave you and your siblings a huge advantage already.

look at my flag and you'll know the answer

mine too

Dominican actually. My mom and dad are still together to this day though, which is funny because they married pretty early.

Nope, I was born rich, went to a great college, parents completely paid it off, and give me tons of money a month because they're proud of me.

no, but i grew up surrounded by some people that did

And yet, you are a failure like all of us :D

Nice.
How old are you? Are you the oldest?

My family was very rich up to when I was 15. My father went bankrupt in 2008 and killed himself. After that, I lived in a small house in the suburbs with my grandparents up to when I was 20 years old, since then I live in a rented apartment. I had everything someone would want, and lost everything so quick. Nowadays I only have my grandparents and my two brothers, my mother commited suicide two years ago.

Yes but somehow we always managed to live in nice neighborhoods so it was no biggie.

34, and yeah I'm the oldest. My sisters aren't that much younger than me though. Most have already been married and are living comfy lives.

Did he kill himself because he got bankrupt?

No

Holy shit, are you me? Literally the same story here.

...

Nobody in Brazil kills itself for went bankrupt.

If ppl did this, 90% of the country would be wiped out clean.

t. 1000 in debt on the bank

The land of the free.

Here, you guys would probably live AND die in a favela without a chance of getting a decent life.

Do you know why he killed himself?

Yeah. He killed himself the morning they started to auction our house. Left a note saying it was not our fault, and for my mother to stay strong.

In hueland, ppl usually kill themselvs because they dont have a family or because they have love problems.

MOney is not something that would make ppl take their life.

>Left a note saying it was not our fault, and for my mother to stay strong.
Lel what a dick, no offense

Yes. I was really poor, and then dad died when I was like 14, though is better this way. Lived with my mom and my sister since then.
I am better now, but it was really bad, though it didn't feel like that.

Well, yeah, kinda
I was sharing a room with my brother all my life and all the way through uni, sleeping on a mattress laid down on the ground, always had to fear if they would cut out the power, never could invite anyone over since the house was a mess, never travelled abroad etc.

>Nobody in Brazil kills itself for went bankrupt.
Vênancio Aires...

>Let me tell you about your life
Hell yes, because I feel like lying about my parents's death in a fucking anonymous board.

Agrotóxicos...

Why didn't your parents just work harder?

heh

pulling yourself up with your own bootstraps is the biggest meme of all time

Yes. My father was intelligent and had good employment (managed an IT team at a Fortune 500 company), but he died when I was young. Due to his gambling problem, my family was left penniless. My mother managed restaurants previously, but dropped out of the workforce to raise my brother and I. She was out of the workforce for such a duration that she never found decent employment.

It was pretty shitty, but we lived in a rural, white area so I never had to experience life in a ghetto.

>mom grew up in rural Newfoundland in the 60/70's
>father in a big irish catholic family in St. John's in the 50's/60's so lower middle class in both cases
>moved to a commuter town in Ontario and had me in a generally middle class life
>around 11 or 12 it started to feel more like upper middle class
>moved in a house worth roughly 450-500k that's nearly paid off now(19yo currently)
>bought a house to rent out in St. John's
>Mom makes ~100k/yr after taxes, dad makes around 70k
so generally middle class but then got wealthier in the teens

Yeah, same would have been true if I still lived in the Dominican Republic. Thankfully my parents moved here when I was 2 so I got auto citizenship. We send money to my grandmother who still lives there, she can't keep up with the monthly charge to keep my grandfather in his tomb.

Thats nice user.
What are the odds of her living DR?

>and for my mother to stay strong.
what a troll

I assume you mean leaving. There's basically zero chance of that. My mom tried to, but apparently her parents threw away her birth certificate because for some reason. Not that she could travel now anyway, she has had heart surgery lately. Makes me sad to think she will die in that shack of a house.

I grew up in exactly what you'd think of when you hear "middle class American family." My parents started with very little but worked hard to get where they are today.

I wanted for nothing, cannot complain.

Yes.

>Moved to Israel with mom, dad and grandmother in 1994
>Barely know the language
>Trying to make due
>Dad becomes an alcoholic
>Mom can't stand it anymore and divorces
>He pays alimonies and visits once in a while
>fast forward
>the year is 2000
>Be me reading Disney comic
>A phone rings and I pick it up
>It's from the police, give the phone to mom
>They say dad was found dead in the park nearby
>Go to the police station to pick up his remaining few stuff
>Few weeks later doctors discover my grandmother has advanced cancer
>She dies within 4 months on my mom's birthday
>Can't pay for the rent anymore so we are forced to move to a small 2 room apartment in an old building
>mom forced to work in 2 jobs to be able to provide us enough for food and stuff for me in school
>At the age of 14 start working as a flyer delivery boy
>Continue working in different shitty jobs until the army
>Before the ay mom's health fails due to many years in hard labor work
>She is forced to leave and until now she's been working as an elderly people's assistant few times a week
>During the army had no choice but to work in security at the expense of sleeping hours
>At 21 finish the 3 years service and start working insane hours in security in order to finally live decently

Yeah, many times we went without food water electricity

I remember you from another thread

Yeah. Leaving.
>the problems of learning english through listening alone

Why she dont get another copy with the goverment? This should be easy.

My parents convinced my grandma to move in with them. Its cool desu. She make company to my mother eatching soap operas and my mother make appointments to the docter the old lady needs it.

Its an overall good relationship.

that sucks man

See. All of this happened because of your country.

PAY REPARATIONS NOW!!!

For those how don't know. Vênancio Aires is "THE CAPITAL" of suicide in the world. We have 37.22/100000 suicides per year.
Some people blame poison, or tobacco plantations, but the people from the region blame the 70% german muh heritage.
Not even kidding. My grand mother kill herself this year just because she didn't like Carnaval. One of his neighbor hang himself because his corn plantation was soaked and ruined.
For fucking sake, I remember when my grand father get cancer and ask me to handle his shotgun "because niggers".

My grand mother once told me that when she travel to Brazil, her grand-father was so scared with the end of food (over crowed boat with immigrants) that he jump of the boat when no one was looking to save food.

Stop it Ronaldo

>My grand mother kill herself this year just because she didn't like Carnaval.
Hahahahahahahahaha wtf

>My grand mother once told me that when she travel to Brazil, her grand-father was so scared with the end of food (over crowed boat with immigrants) that he jump of the boat when no one was looking to save food.

What?
Also, where you are right now and they emigrated from where?

She'd probably have a heart attack from the plane taking off, she has never even been in a building higher than 5 floors. Most of my aunts and uncles on my mother's side visit her almost everyday anyway.

I've been middle class for almost my whole life, by American standards I guess I was poor. Now things are way better but still wouldnt consider myself rich or anything.

Really? Which one?

Yes it is

Not kidding.
One day she pretend to sleep, wait until the nurse check her room, steal a wheelchair security belt, go to the bathroom and hang herself in one of those showers security supports. (yeah, i know the irony)
She really hate black people. Her nursery home was pretty white, but the television always depress her.

Nice.
You should see her too nigga. Old ppl like when the young descendents visit them.

I do this about once every 2 months just to check on my gramps.

I am in Lajeado.
This parent line come from Bohemia after WWI. Since they are catholic, they chose brazil.

Yes, my family had to move to countryside three times to work as housekeepers because we couldn't even afford renting a house. Although we had times of misery, I'm proud that we never had debts or needed to take loans.

Things got better, but I cannot call myself middle class yet.

I believe that most of my countrymen here on Sup Forums comes from a rich background.

why didn't she move to argentina? argentina is white.

I don't know it was a long time ago.
You made it sound like she killed herself and left a note which goes like "fuck Carneval, I've had enough of this."

89 years old. Forget how to speak Portuguese due Alzheimer.
Sure, lets send you to another country.

>b-but muh anecdotal evidence

Flights are pretty expensive, but we usually visit her during the summer. I would have liked for her to visit though.

She literally threat kill herself if the nurse didn't shut down the tv.
Two day latter she did it.

Not really. When i was a kid we werent poor but we also didnt have alost any luxury. The last few years both my parents got higher payings positions at their jobs and they earn quite a lot, but because they arent the vain kind we still dont have many luxuries, but ourlives have improved a lot

>This parent line come from Bohemia after WWI.
Well shit. If after all those years she was still grumpy, she was a lost case.

She was a women of principle. I gotta give her that..

i was just memeing

You want her to live in this? kek

She was born in Brazil. And yes, she was grumpy.
It get worse when my grand father die before i was born.
Also, she was always sick. My father first memories was playing with his sister with a lot of medicine flasks...

>My father first memories was playing with his sister with a lot of medicine flasks...
My sides.. holy shit the way you Brazilians tell stories is funny as fuck. Brazilians are based posters

At least the grass looks neat, give a house like that to a Brazilian and you will have garbage in the doorstep. (and a tv antenna, because poor folk here are like this: they may not have a decent house, but they will have luxury items like cable tv, apple smartphones and fancy motorbikes)

I grew up in a gab between poor and lower middle class.
Basically working class but with parents who were fucking shit at finances.

I did. My Dad was in prison for most of my childhood and we were dependent on church handouts because we could not afford food otherwise. We got flooded and my Mum ended up in a lot of debt because we lost all of our stuff and the house was water-clogged.

I come from germans from russia. We got the crappy patagonian desertish lands. All things considered things are pretty ok.

Regarding

Hopefully I dont have any sad stories to tell.

Father is 65 yo, mother 66. Both of them do sports everyday.

Dude is learning how to use the internet and laugh his ass off disocvering memes and when I send porn videos to his WhatsApp.

Mom is based as always. 66 yo and her skin would make a lot of teenage girls envy.

These two are running on Duracell batteries I think.

>My Dad was in prison for most of my childhood
Weshalb?

Why did your father end up in jail?
Back in time Austria didn't have the social security that now brings hundreds of refugees?

> grass
> pretty trees

Add a nice door and a proper roof and that's you've got a cute house.

You can tell a someone at least cares about it because they have pots with plants.

Wow man, that's tough. Did you overcame it?

Nice, but 66 and 65? how old are you m8?
