I don't have this problem

Another classic post destined for the history books.

Your max clock is close to my idle clock. You're probably running a 5400 RPM HDD from 2008 that's 80% full and fragmented as fuck, too. Just fuck off and install Gentoo, or buy a new PC if you can't deal with it.

I actually have that Disk usage problem at start up. It's not the disk, it's something in windows 8.

my CPU barely hits 30% though.

op is a fag and clearly has shitty hardware.

I don't have this problem either. OP is a fagit.

bad goy >:( you are not allowed there

windows 10 kills drives

go play with your terminal font, basement gnome

Is this the new nsakey?

>virtualization disabled
Disable yourself faggot

Unused Clockspeed is Wasted Clockspeed

Unused Diskspace is wasted Diskspace

I had this on one of my laptops on a conventional hard drive not a ssd.
Formating and reinstalling wangblows fixed it.

>2017
>using w**doz
Lol what what a fag

>Installing updates
Well

Funny, I don't seem to have that on my Windows 10. Oh, right, because I disabled it.

>why don't you just disable the telemetry that's on by default???
Why don't I just use an OS without spyware instead???

I disabled it as well and the update turned it back on
>Wincuckolds will defend these

This is just idling by the way.

If you guys keep having this problem try disabling SuperFetch. It fixed it for me.

>>why don't you just disable the telemetry that's on by default???
It's on by default because it helps Microsoft fix problems for normies who don't know how to fix problems.

The option is there to turn it off so if you don't like it but don't turn it off then you only have yourself to blame.

I know people will complain about it using resources but that is only an issue if it interferes with other applications in its resource usage. If you are just idling then you probably didn't even notice that it was running until you opened task manager and decided to complain.

Funny. Before updating Windows asked me to verify my settings where I made sure it was still turned off and it is still turned off.
I bet you did one of those manual updates, downloading the update installer. Those always reset settings and reinstall things like Candy Crush.

I've done that already.

My pic was disingenuous because I'm actually downloading a month's worth of updates right now and just wanted to join in this fun thread :^)

My decade old cpu doesn't have this problem

>I better open a bunch of programs and screenshot task manager to hate on Windows so people on Sup Forums will think I'm kewl!!!11!!!!1!!1!1

AHAHAHAHAH

hmm

How are people on Sup Forums so tech illiterate? Is this why there are so many freetards on this board?

Also, this is probably a netbook, good job op

hmmm

You booboontoo users make me laugh. You make a big deal out of the fact that Windows 10 users spent all of three minutes to disable telemetry. Meanwhile, you guys spend hours staring at wiki pages each time you yaourt -Syu trying to figure out how to unbreak all the things updating broke for you.

>disco

...

On a serious note, Linux can be just as useful, or even more so, in specialized tasks, if you know what you are doing, and it is generally "free". The pay-for versions of Linux are generally rock-solid and unbeatable at their specialized functionalities.

Alternatively, if you've got an actual toaster you want to run a full blown OS on for some reason, Linux is pretty much your only option.

Depends on your distro.
There's a reason debian exists.

But something like arch, yeah, be ready for it.

>It's on by default because it helps Microsoft fix problems for normies who don't know how to fix problems.

Bull fucking shit. I can count the number of times on no hands that Microsoft has ever helped a user fix a problem.

Pull the corporate cock out of your mouth and stop making excuses for user-hostile misfeatures.

>Bull fucking shit. I can count the number of times on no hands that Microsoft has ever helped a user fix a problem.
>what are windows updates

>what is a shitty laptop with 1 gig of ram so it has to page everything and fuck the hard drive

It's only your fault.

not me, op
>hes trying to blame windows for not knowing how a computer works

...

>80% 1,71 GHz
The fuck is this? A toaster?

I strangely don't have this problem either.

Might want to check your configuration, OP.
>inb4 Overpowered PC

Yea, he's an idiot.

>he wants hypervisor-level rootkits
Reconsider who should be killing himself.

>Alternatively, if you've got an actual toaster you want to run a full blown OS on for some reason, Linux is pretty much your only option.
Yes, let's just completely forget about NetBSD.

>>inb4 Overpowered PC
wtf are you talking about

You could begin by checking what is using your CPU.

I don't even use Windows, but even I wouldn't blame Microsoft for their OS just doing what you asked for when it's running the Russian porn app you downloaded last night, OP.

...

It did that to me once. I ignored the "restart required" for too long and it announced it was going to restart it for me at the time it told me. I disabled the scheduled tasks for rebooting under UpdateOrchestrator and then found the files they're stored in and made them as read-only as I could so that the service couldn't "fix" it for me.

The scheduled reboot time came and went. I went to Windows Update and the alert about a required reboot was still there, but it no longer said a time it would do it.

That's either SuperFetch or idle defrag. Either way it's optimizing performance while your PC is otherwise not doing anything. For laptops, it only does it while plugged in.

If you don't like it you can disable it. I've left it enabled since it does seem to improve performance, I never need to defrag manually, and it doesn't get in my way since it stops doing it immediately whenever I start using the PC again.

...

You clearly have never used a Linux distribution in the past 10 years.

>install Ubuntu
>you're done

>install Windows 10
>spend three hours disabling all the telemetry
>spend even more hours fixing problems that have appeared because you've disabled telemetry

>Install Ubuntu
>Uninstall Amazon shit

>install Ubuntu
>you're done

Thanks, Windows!

Every laptop with windows 10 I have seen has this problem.

I don't have this problem

Should I upgrade my CPU to upcoming coffelake or should I wait for 10nm Cannon Lake?

>Have 2 SSDs in raid 0
>still get 100% disk usage at random times
Thanks windows

I like how everyone is saying "I don't have this issue" and their SS shows uptime of hours if not days.

All Win 10 does this on start. The length it goes on depends on your HDD speed mainly.
If you've got an SSD it lasts a few seconds. 7200 lasts like a min. 5400 in the netbook OP is using lasts fucking 10.

>he uses Windows 10
>laughinggirls.tiff

Get an SSD you poorfag

>j-j-j-j-just get b-b-better hardware

Legit jealous.

Wait until 2021 new arch of intel

Running Windows in a virtual box

is this the new speccy thread?

Fucking sick of this desu

install gen2

Ways for Microsoft to install whatever they want onto PCs under the guise of fixing problems that don't exist.

You're afraid your internal IP is gonna get hacked?

I have to hide my numbers! >:(((

But I can still see them you know, and so can everybody else.

*gets hacked*

oh noooo

Don't lie, you want someone near you.

Internal IP are useless and limited to your home network anyway.

Hacking 192.168.*.* Right now, your in for a suprise.

Holy shit is that a fucking potato for a harddrive?

>192.168.*.*
My IP is 10.0.0.14 though.

MacBook Pro doesn't have this problem.

Of course it doesn't. First you have to be able to do something with it for it to utilize any %.
