Ryzen 5 1600 Temperature in Celsius

My Ryzen 5 1600 is currently running idle at 70c / low 70s celsius. My PC is very quiet too, the fan isn't roaring or anything. All of my other components are also running at cool temperatures.

What temperature is good / okay for the Ryzen 5 1600? What temperature do you guys get your Ryzen 5 1600s if you have it?

My 1800x runs idle at 27*C (although the monitor I have still reads 47*C, my processor still works in burn at 105*C - so I assume they haven't subtracted the 20).

Try setting your bios fan profile to maximum and watch the temperature in the bios.

Should be idle 55c AT MOST. What freq and voltage are you running?

>idle at 70c

Reseat the cpu and cooler. It's almost the limit wtf?

did you plug the fan in?

Did you remove the plastic from the heatsink before you installed it?

op here. went into bios and looked at RPM. for some reason, when i went into bios my cpu fan was at 0 RPM and i thought that was a bug, looked at comp and fan was actually off. i clicked F in the bios section to turn all fans on to max speed and restarted comp. turned on now and i'm using HWmonitor and NZXT and it says my cpu fan rpm is now at 350 rpm and both softwares tell me that my cpu is currently holding at 41-43c temperature. did i fix it? should i raise the RPM and if i do raise it, how do i do that? thanks again for ur help

350 rpm is max? Have you tried updating bios?

op here again, cpu temperature is now at 33c and dropping. i'm certain i fixed it. rpm went from 350 rpm to 430 rpm. thanks again.

idk if it's max, but computer case is cold now on the side where the cpu is on the mobo and both softwares tell me that i'm at 32c and dropping at 430 rpm. mind you this is at idle speed btw

AMD Wraith it should have ~3000rpm at max and ~600 at lowest possible

this is op. this is what i'm looking at rn. i'm surprised my comp is this cool with 430 rpm. how the fuck do i raise it to 2.5k - 3k rpm? wtf?

first comp build btw and i'm very happy with it so please have mercy

what motherboard is it? you need to set a fan curve for chassis and cpu fan(s). It should have some presets. where, how many and what headers are case/cpu fans plugged into.

What cooler is that? Maybe that's just normal rpm for it? That or sensor is bullshitting you.
I've seen a few AMD Wraiths bundled with 1600 and they physically cannot rotate at lower than 600, they just halt.

Did you enjoy all the creaky noises that come from assembling your first PC?

the cooler is legit just the one that came with the ryzen 5 1600, idk the name, i guess wraith spire? idk much about comps still, a lot i need to learn so if u need to explain anything please do
the motherboard is the msi b350 MS-7a34

i have no idea what the rpm shud be or what it can do but my cpu seems cool now and it's still quiet.

i actually didn't hear any creaky stuff at all. i barely heard and creaky noises and that was only when i was screwing the cpu fan onto the mobo

idle with spire at minimum rpm I get like 40c

lmfao. you're idling at 60c with no fan. Just a passive heatsink.

If it was a delidlake-7700k, it would have burned itself

>my cpu fan was at 0 RPM
lol

>creaky noises
What kind of chink shit did you buy for it?

Is it possivle to achieve passive CPU cooling with i7 7700 non K ?

Sorta. You could have a passive cooler for the CPU but you'd still need case fans. Some company just made a fully passive case but it's expensive af and I'd worry for the mobo temps.

>AMD cpu.
>0 RPM

I'm surprised you haven't induced stellar nucleosynthesis

He must be talking about Intel's classic "Gotta crunch this motherfucker in place" LGA bracket. They never managed to make it feel like you weren't ruining the motherboard pins whenever you pushed the lever down.

Welcome to 2017, your short term memory about entering the criocapsule a decade ago was apparently lost.

Was that meant for me, or?

Yeah with something like a le grande macho, so long as you still have some case fans which isn't truly passive then.
You may need to delid it, as well.
Something like a Cryorig C7 will cool it pretty quietly if you're lucky, though.

user, I'm sorry, it might be hard to accept at first but Intel is the new hotness now.

Thank you for the tips bro

This isn't Piledriver anymore, kid.

Nice to see you were paying attention to the circlejerks 5 years ago though

>a fucking hexcore CPU running on a passive heatsink at 50C actual
Is this what the future is like?

On the STOCK cooler heatsink passively.

This is what the future without Intel shilling single core housefires looks like.
