Add 2 monts for shop availability.

youtu.be/b_ZMOn0X6jw

source?

Because it's sold out?

Are they bringing in video cards taht are not shit? Will I finally be able to upgrade my r9 290x?

after add 3 more months for the drivers like Fury X

So it can beat Volta?

no, match with 1080ti :3

No, May 25th.

source: the Vega star system is 25.05 lightyears from our planet.

Just you wait :3

Yea yea yea

Too early. I bet both Vega and Ryzen HEDT chips are at computex.

That's gonna be the real question, because the only thing slated for 2018 is Vega 20, with Navi in Q4 2018 / H1 2019

Vega20 is FP60 cards so probably refreshes for early 2018.

Doubt they'll rebrand for that. My bet is a new Pro Duo and workstation with 20 in em. No advantage except FP64 and rumored die shrink.

Fuck you.

...

>Too early.

Well according to Wikipedia, Vega is 25.04 +/- 0.07 lightyears from Earth. So that would put the release date anywhere between April 25 to November 25th.

You're limited to Q2, so unless Vega released yesterday, it's in May.

so it's May 25th 2042?

JUST WAIT JESUS

Give me the sauce at least!

damn i got tired of waiting and bought a 1080ti

Don't have

That was unexpected. Thank you!

be a good goy and get a g-sync monitor with it

...

no i want oled if i have to replace this thing.

enjoy your house fire jim

Only for the Sapphire cards

>tfw 2GB 7870 that is not only a bottleneck but a coffee-straw
come on AMD don't meme me, make this a good release so I don't have to buy from the green kikes

come home white man, only $374.99

> June 25th aka 25.06 not in Q2

ok famalam

i thought i made a mistake buying a fury so "soon" before vega's release. been like a fucking year and will still be a long fucking time before it comes out

fuck ExplodingVGA

WAITâ„¢ for OLED you cuck

I still wait (tm)

Since Nvidia won't give me Freesync then I will have to wait. I don't use gaymer 200hz TN crap monitors and all the good 4K monitors are freesync.

Because paper launch

You mean like the 10xx series? Or the 980ti?

Instant convertible.

Do you doubt it?

Respin on 7nm for the new mainstream as Navi is designed for exascale HPC clusters.

>release a new Pro Duo
>the old one is still faster and cheaper by at least $300

What are they thinking over there?

AMD don't paper launch like NVIDIA and Intel

Do people even know what paper launches are

Not me, can you explain?

arstechnica.com/uncategorized/2004/07/4039-2/

Essentially when a product is never completely releases for the public due to small quantities
Companies release new products in certain quantities in order to avoid spillover of goods that are spend on production and never bought. This is skewed to alot of people as a paper launch as they feel hardware companies jew the consumer by making small quantities, in reality that's the way everyone does and should do it, hence why AMD had issues with Fury cards just sitting around. Nvidia had the same issues with the 740.

>all those 740s that just sat around for months maybe even years
makes sense, my local fries still has a fuckton of them

Thank you user for the explanation.

got a good alternative to waiting that isn't pissing money away for a side grade at best?

>building my first pc soon
>dont want to shell out for jewsync, so lets go AMD
>waiting for Vega isn't a problem

No problem here.

Lowering your standards on meme tier hardware?

...

>not May 4th.
GDI AMD.

I know Intel fanboys do not have the discipline to wait, as they lack both resolve and patience.

That is okay, more power and savings for the rest of us, goyim!

Waiting got me a Fury for $200 at the end of last year. Good advice.

my 390x does fine but i am getting worried Volta and Navi will be out before Vega

Why fuss over it though? I have mostly AMD cards now since they last longer than my Nvidia cards but I do have a mix of both in eight gaming/PC rigs. Buy whatever is best for your budget at the time imo.

>but I do have a mix of both in eight gaming/PC rigs.
Kinda pointless to have more than 2 main pc's but okay ill bite

am fussing over it because the 290/390 is showing its age and the BEST Amd can do is overclock a 480 and sell it as a 580

Sure ok its around Fury X/390x level maybe 5-10fps faster if you get a very highly clocked model but its kinda pointless.

Thats 2015 level performance and nvidia has been running around them laughing with the 1080ti and 1080

...

Make it double you need to go both ways to get it and return to install it.

>$200
not bad

holy shit, does your mom pay the electric bill? how much does she charge per fuck to afford it?

>torture test
Imagine how my 390x would fare in that :^)

I have six kids and they all game on the PC. Oldest card in a machine has a HD 7950 and works just fine. You can play all the latest games with decent settings in 1080p just fine. Comparing a $180 RX480 8GB with a $500-$800 1080ti or 1080 is retarded.

Smokin' deal really at the time. I was going to buy another RX 480 for $180 but I had a $50 Gift Card through Newegg so it ended up being around $150 AR.

I have a 650w Seasonic PSU. It runs fine. You should take a break from huffing paint.
amazon.com/gp/product/B00918N4A0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

AMD has a Factory in Israel

>I have six kids
I'm sure they're lovely but you should have stopped after 4
>raising 4 kids
Fuck that noise.

I don't recall giving you advice on your life.

Neither of those were paper launches.

did investor call had any hints? Lisa slipped out ryzen release date, anything this time?

it's going to be at least $400 for 4Gb, that's being optimistic
real price going to be 650 for 1080ti competition
are you ready for that?

>I have a 650w Seasonic PSU
are you retarded?
>You should take a break from huffing paint.
i'm more of a petrol gentleman

$3K Dell is available.

not him but fury x =/= fury

you realize running 300w card in USA(very expensive bills compared to rest of the word) 16/7 costs only $3 a year?

nvidia brainwashed market with power meme hard, before maxwell everyone cared only about temps, now it's POWER POWER POWER

oh look, another retard.

>paying 375 for a midrange card

hardocp.com/article/2016/05/18/geforce_gtx_1080_most_bizarre_secret_paper_launch_ever/

fool.com/investing/2016/06/22/nvidia-corporation-geforce-gtx-1070-and-geforce-gt.aspx

stop lying.

Holy fuck.

16 hours a day under full load? What the fuck are you doing besides bitcoin mining with your GPU like a moron?

>disbelief
I've run torture tests on my system with the card installed and it's fine. It ran mostly fine with a 600w Seasonic PSU but valley (weird) and one other test would draw too much power overall. It was likely fine but the Asus mobo's have the surge/power protection and auto shutdown. Ran fine with that off if I wanted to push it. System is overclocked with two SSD's and two mechanical drives.
>i'm more of a petrol gentleman
I too love the smell of gasoline

>Oldest card in a machine has a HD 7950 and works just fine
yeah suprised me how many people still rock the 7000 series and it still supports DX12

a fucking 6 year old card

Anyway what i am saying is AMD has no high end competiton for Novidia

you know it doesn't run 300w constantly?
and what the fuck, electricity is expensive in US

I pay $0.05 for kWh

yeah, user. that's why i used an online calculator.

fucking retards. of course it's not going to be at full load 24/7, but the fury will pull 400 watts easily when pushed. with all the money your moms waste on the electric bill, you could buy a way more power efficient and more powerful card overall. if you use your card for two years, there's a 1070 right there.

>>Anyway what i am saying is AMD has no high end competiton for Novidia
You're absolutely right on that. It's like they gave up for top tier cards. Odd business decision. It's a shame because I like to stick to mid range or the used market (former top tier) price wise for my upgrades.

>nvidiots actually believe this

People buy NVIDIA no matter what and high-end market is small so why even bother? Better cook some ML stuff.

my point has nothing to do with the power supply, you retard

they had to make two archs
nvidia just cuts down their big chips into small ones

nvidia does to amd what amd does to intel
circles of hell

so it made sense for them to release mid range first for max volume moved

same here, guess ill just keep my 390x forever since they wont really surpass it until Vega and Navi

...

that's if you keep to 1080p only, 390 is barely enough already
1440p on 27" is real upgrade, user
and i'm half blind still could notice how much better it is

i run 1440p downsampled to 1200p alot (ancient 16:10 screen from 2008) for most games that are well optimized i can get 65-100fps+

not the same, downsampling is nice as AA measure but doesn't give clarity of native resolution

>390x
>crusty x1600
are you me?
Is it a dell or a samsung?

yeah it can get a little fuzzy

i actually get a better image with decent AA (post process/temporal) at native res

most games look like shit reguardless because their AA is junk

nah i5 4690 instead

Oh sorry, Samsung T260Rose

The Color depth is absolutely horrid
