where's the belltower
what the fuck

you can see the cross on the left hand of the op image, the grass is blocking it.

...

his hands aren't even nailed to the cross

/california/ here. Try harder fgt.

You can see the nails in his wrists, they're just not attached to the cross.

The crucifix inside is attached, though.

Looks like Space Jesus descending from his flying saucer.

That's ugly and not catholic and gaudy.

what kind of protestant heresy is this?

what the fuck is this
what if someone attacks the parish you can't defend yourself from this

Extraordinary churches and temples thread?

Looks nice. What kind of Christianity is it?

Here's a Russian church in the western style with a crown instead of a dome and it has inscriptions in Latin instead of Medieval Russian inside. It's situated at Dubrovnitsy, near podolsk.

ayy lmao

And that's catholic?

Catholic churches here are almost always cross-shaped.

I think it's Jesuit

No attacks in Nebraska. Also, the only way to get into the church is to pass through the hobbit hole. It's the only entrance.

what

who's in charge of this

...

Rich Catholics from Omaha paid for it. I don't know who maintains it, though.

The church is meant to be a shrine for all Christians but the only types of masses they host are Catholic.

Kostomarovo women monastery. Said to be funded in the XIIth century, some scientist say it may be the oldest Christian place in Russia from the VIIIth century before the official baptisation. Can contain up to 2000 people.

Classic AF.

Nice concept as well.

Another view of it.

>shrine to all Christians

non-Catholics are not Christians

That monstrosity is Catholic??

Here's Omaha's Episcopal cathedral

And our Catholic Cathedral.

Pretty decent for modern architecture. Could have come out a lot worse.

looks interesting

Don't be mean.

For the most part, yes. It's technically non-denominational but it was paid for by Catholics and only hosts Catholic mass.

>mean

I'm just a man of faith and accordingly I despise lie and heresy

Temple of the three horsemen, Crimea.

Cothic fits American skyscrapers so well, especially more old with more decoration.

>not Catholic

Interior. You can see those horsemen on the wall.

>On September 24, 2014, the diocese released its proposed redesign plans for the building, including extensive changes to the interior intended to make the building more suitable for the "altar-centered" Catholic ritual while retaining some qualities of the original design. Among the changes, the glass walls will be lined with angled "petals" that will reduce the amount of outside light, deemed as being distracting from the altar.'
We're fixing it. No need to thank us.

that's really cool

This is some sci fi thing.

Now this one looks nice.

Calvary-temple, Kuzbass.

so i assume grass doesn't grow in russia right?

beautiful 2bh
and they say modern architecture is shit

one of the most beautiful in the world

saint John the Divine in New York

So-called 'Soul-train' at Nizhny Novgorod. Not only USA has weird churches.

Just bult on this picture, it's just the biggest I could find.

It's good, but it's mostly good because of it's location and garden area. It would look even better if it were a more traditional church on that grassy hill.

Idk man. From the other one I feel the nature around me.
This one just seems like an unfinished construction project.

This is the church I usually go to.

>a more traditional church on that grassy hill
nah we have a shitload of those and yours looks so much better

Interior with Latin texts.

This is the basilica (somewhere between church and cathedral) in my hometown of Grimbergen.

Built from 1660 to 1700

Church of the Birth of Ioann The Baptiser (Forerunner in Russian actually), St. Petersburg.

russian churches are so colorful

Most of them are white, the older ones, it's classic. Or unpainted wood like this in Slobodskoe. Built in 1610 it experienced moving to the Paris fair 1973 and back.
