I'm starting to learn Irish it's so cool

I'm starting to learn Irish it's so cool

Literally the most useless language in the world. There is no reason to learn it.

>I'm starting to learn one of the world's dead languages it's so cool

why

Latin is pretty cool

An mhaith, a bhuachaill. Cén fath?

>I'm starting to learn one of the world's oldest languages it's so cool

Go n-éirí leat.

That's up for you to deside.

I'm starting to learn greek in recent
What do you think?

Why?

good lad

I'm in Ireland right now, it looks cool but those consonants clusters are scary

Because he is Greek.

Are you in School?

Ní leor teanga amháin

I hope you don't plan on emigrating to Ireland because speaking Irish would make you ineligible for citizenship.

Is that the same for holocaust survivors in Israel?

Yes, Holocaust survivors who speak Irish are banned from Israel

Funnily enough, holocaust survivors were banned from Ireland too. Is that why you're so butthurt about us in every thread?

No, I am only butthurt that only about a quarter of your population are native Irish speakers.

I am not even kidding. I will never stop shitposting about this until you stop being cucked by the English (or in other words, never)

In the recent cenus around 2 of the 4 million in population said they can speak Irish.

I guarantee that at least 500,000 of them only know how to say their prayers in Irish.

Did they release the statistics on language yet? The only one I've seen was the population increase (if any Europeans in the thread don't understand this we can explain).

As a second language

That means 50% (half) can't even speak their own national language.

hello yes please explain I am European

Is it why there are bilingual signs litteraly everywhere? Also please keep speaking English, I want to go back, Galway is just too beautiful

Taking off the leaf won't make you European.

rude

>Is it why there are bilingual signs litteraly everywhere?
The Government has to offer every service in both Irish and English.

The only Irish word I remember from my trip to Ireland is "amach" (exit)
