why does microsoft put drop shadows on their icon labels? it's h*ckin ugly

here it is without the ugly drop shadow

I like it better with shadow.

>rainbows
it's h*ckin ugly

gross

it's been ugly since xp

so you can read it on a white background?

rainbows?

you aren't viewing it at 100% scaling and/or your monitor doesn't use RGB pixel order

Also the fucking arrow on every shortcut icon
Then make the text black in that case?

It is because the text is always white. If the user uses a white background, you will not be able to see the labels.

im sure microshit has never thought of that before...

I have just good vision and I see the text is blurred.

it looks fine on macos though

if it's blurred for you then you aren't viewing it at 100% scaling ( keep in mind that OS dpi scaling also affects browser scaling, which also blurs images )

this is cleartype after all, it's meant to be sharp as fuck because "muh pixel grid"

That's because the rest of the Mac UI uses shadows so it fits in fine, while most of Windows uses flat design. It's not consistent.

go back to the other thread n*rd

subpixel rendering is good.

>h*cking
No one is going to censure you here you stupid dick eater nigger faggot.
And for the windows icons, MS just adds whatever the fuck they want without completely changing or removing the old interface, because the new people don't know how the old parts of windows work.

>go back to the other thread nord
What are you, a nigger to fear the white man?

who the h*ck invited Sup Forums?

everyone pls ignore these bakas

>h*ck
>baka
I'm not from Sup Forums, but you are equally retarded as them.

post liru game

Because normiefags set their wallpaper to solid white and then open bugs when "all the text disappears"

Some people use busy desktop wallpapers, so you need the drop shadow in order to read any text.

actually there is an idiot-proof way of configuring the windows font engine you sperglord

Because its the superior design choice.

>when you're that bad at video games you need a bunnyhop script

bhop scripting? censoring "heck"? you may be more cancerous than the frog posters

Microsoft's UI after 7 is ugly
