If you have good taste you know who's best

Why not both?

Paul had the better solo career.

Why not both?

Bingo

>She's Leaving Home
>Helter Skelter
>Eleanor Rigby
>shit

you can't possibly make this shit up!

George Harrison

ummm

Paul over John is the most reddit tier opinion in music

Wrong. Reddit would prefer John because of his SJW attitude. Paul is shunned by everyone for being uncool even though he is patrician as fuck. Making Paul McCartney the actual musician equivilant of Sup Forums.

wrong

Literally objectively Paul
Just compare their output after the Beatles

youtube.com/watch?v=Asf4InKVo8k

Across the universe is their best song

John solo made better music than Woman is the Nigger of the World. But I 100% agree that Paul had a very stellar solo career until the 1980s.

Go to reddit where they all hate John for beati his wives and not being there for his faggot kid

Pete Best, duh

Why are you so versed in what Reddit talks about?

Paul. if you say John you're an edgy contrarian

Paul

>Plays Bass, Guitar, Piano, Drums, Synths, all fluently
>most active member of the beatles, had huge imput on many of John's classic while John was nowhere to be heard on many of Paul's classics
>didn't beat his wife
>stayed loyal to his wife until her death
>never jumped on a le peace and love bandwagon he later regretted
>didn't have to become a meme-artist to stay relevant

Paul is objectively better.

>John needs the help of Ringo, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins, Phil Spector to make his """""""""solo""""""" albums
>Paul records maybe I'm amazed all on his own

Paul all the way. Paul made making flawless pop seem effortlessly easy, while John just rehashed the "whoa peace and love" thing in almost every one of his songs. Johns songs just didn't have the flow Paul's did, but they appealed more to the "far out" counterculture. To me, both are utterly fantastic artists, but only Paul's songs have stood the test of time.

Paul hands down every time

John was an autistic hippy faggot who supported Communism, which killed over 100 million people.

I don't care for Paul's hamfisted sentiment, or his clunky modulations. And his use of classic compositional tropes hang like rotten fruit.

Pohn or Jaul?

>johnfag accusing other's of hamfisted sentiment

that's rich

I FUCKING HATE PAUL
HE KEKED MY FUCKING GRANDPA

Fuck yo grandpa.

That bit about paul being perceived as uncool even though he's clearly fucking patrician is so true

Why not both?

One is clearly superior to the other.

Paul is significantly more musically talented. I'd gladly argue that he has one of the best natural voices ever. He was a definin bassist for the time too, but there was a lot of them around back then.

Paul has a really good voice, but the range of emotions John transmitted through his voice outshines him. Paul couldn't sing Im Only Sleeping or even A Day In The Life the way John did, but Paul was a tenor, so he could calmly sing those soft pop songs that people usually like

John couldn't sing rock like Paul, John could sing broken heart blues, but the strength behind Pauls voice is insane, he could also sing bloody low for a tenor.

Don't get me wrong, they're both incredible singers, but pauls is better in terms of technicality

>John couldn't sing rock like Paul

>what is Twist and Shout

John's voice outshines Paul's big time.

Oh! Darling tho

"Mother" though

John sang at an emotional level Paul never has.

all the songs of pauls you listed are good m8

This is exactly my point

And niether of them could sing as raw and desperate as Jim Morrison. Emotion is one thing, doesn't mean his voice is better. If emotion is your driving point, then George Harrison kicks them both out on that.

>And niether of them could sing as raw and desperate as Jim Morrison.

fucking ew. jim morrison is a fucking hack. kill yourself.

> If emotion is your driving point, then George Harrison kicks them both out on that.

lol what the fuck? name one harrison vocal performance that touches "Mother"

>>i want you (she's so heavy)
>>strawberry fields forever
>>across the universe
Your favourite is George Martin?

>Jim Morrison is a hack
I have no words
Opinion utterly discarded.

>one song
Long, Long, Long and While my guitar gently weeps are both full of emotion.

I think the main problem with your line of reasoning is your definition of "better voice", especially when we are talking about pop music and not opera. I would take Girl over Rocky Racoon or some other Paul's shitty screaming into fifth octave rocksong like Maybe I'm Amazed every single time.

youtube.com/watch?v=dZFGcUU9pY4

I can't get over Paul McCartney's voice. Dude was a freak of nature.

Remember kids, Paul has a better voice, is a better guitar player, a better piano player, a better songwriter. John was a better lyricist and probably was a more honest performer

Beatles: John
Solo: Paul

I was talking about technical ability. Sure Lennon had more emotion in his singing, but that's just how he sang. Anyway we're getting stuck up on a useless point.
They're both excellent singers for different reasons, but I personally prefer pauls voice.

HOLD THE DOOR

I hate John but he was the better songwriter in the Beatles
after he left the Beatles he started getting really shitty

I laughed much harder than I should habe

TEMPORARY
SECRETARY

The only good thing about I Want You (She's So Heavy) is Paul's bass playing. The rest is just lazy songwriting.

>after he left the Beatles he started getting really shitty

Imagine alone is bigger than any of Paul solo song's

>what is Mull of Kintyre

John. He was a rebel who was out for himself, and didn't take shit from anybody.

Hey fuck you man penny lane is great.

...But yeah, you're right.
