Give me 12 or 15 MUST OWN Bowie albums. Live, studio it doesn't matter.
Essential Bowie?

All of his 70s albums aside from pin ups, but especially Ziggy, station to station, low, and heroes
Scary monsters
Outside
Heathen
The next day
Blackstar
Low. Got three copies of that fucker, I regret nothing.
If you want a good live album of bowie, this one is great
Blackstar and Station to Station are super important too
the cover art totally ruined the album for me :S
all of these + blackstar
this
This, but replace Pin Ups with Let's Dance (not his best, but certainly important) or 1. Outside (great, but not considered as important)
Wait, there's no Young Americans
That one's probably more important than either of these
Heathen > The Next Day
So should I go for 15 or 12 albums?
Let's Dance for Pin Ups and this is true
His first album isn't anything special. Space Oddity is better than that.
Let's Dance, The Next Day or Space Oddity? Pick one!
Hunky Dory
Ziggy Stardust
Diamond Dogs
Aladin sane
Station to Station
Low
Young Americans
Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)
Let's Dance
Blackstar
Heroes
Space Oddity
Heathen
Earthling
Buddha of Suburbia
>glammier, dammit!
lol
pic related is massively, massively filename. one of his best records
im glad hes dead
Shut the fuck up Moz.
Don't gloat over death or you might die eventually one day!
All the obvious studio albums have been posted already, but his GOAT live album is Nassau Coliseum '76. It's a crime that it was only released as bonus discs on a Station to Station reissue, it's Thin White Duke-era Bowie at the absolute height of his powers.
Space Oddity
Man Who Sold The World
Hunky Dory
Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust
Aladdin Sane
Diamond Dogs
Young Americans
Station To Station
Low
Heroes
Lodger
Scary Monsters
Outside
Heathen
Blackstar
That's all really need.
His first album is Self Titled '67 iirc, Space Oddity is called Self Titled '69 in a lot of places
>David Bowie (1969)
Don't listen to this nigger, his self titled is trash
His '69 self titled is Space Oddity.
Oh nvm I thought that was the 67 music hall album
Which is really
really
bad
>literally a soul album with no fucking soul in it
>underrated
lol
Isn't that the whole point? He was on so much cocaine he lost his soul yet there he was singing soul music. Pretty damn ironic I'd say.
Everything up to Scary Monsters not including Pin Ups, the just skip to Blackstar.
Just Peter And The Wolf my shit up.
>title track
>not one of his best
please reevaluate your life
For live albums get
Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture
Santa Monica '72
Bowie at the Beeb
A Reality Tour
Skip David Live, it sucks.
This is pretty soulful
youtube.com
Best of Bowie obviously
The Man Who Sold The World
Hunky Dory**
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars**
Aladdin Sane
Diamond Dogs
StationtoStation
Heroes**
Low**
Lodgers
Let's Dance
Blackstar **
Fuck... Young Americans too. No stars. Also, missed op to put "*" as Bowie's last record.
12. Nobody needs 15 full length albums by one artist that's insanity.
I will give you the only 5 you need:
Scary Monsters
Young Americans
Let's Dance
Low
Heroes
that's it.
