Prove you like metalcore by posting your favorite metalcore album
not even a bit
nice album cover lads
why would anyone want to prove to like metalcore?
it is something you want to hide
What's some more stuff like this? I'm not much into death metal, I prefer doom and black, but this is pretty good.
If you had a metalcore/scene phase in your teens, yes
youtube.com
Kampfar is the shit.
will anyone be at wacken this year?
post hot metal
Have you heard of Bölzer?
Keep shilling this opinion neckbeard elitist, some of the most intricate and intresting metal came out of metalcore
...
I have not, but I just looked them up and they seem interesting.
no worries, i am not an elitist but metalcore sucks and the fags in the fanbase makes it even worse.
>you will never play in a mongolian speed metal band and cover vietnamese cartoon intros
It is possible to have a favourite metalcore album while disliking metalcore as a whole.
Also, I think I've picked up on the latest -core naming scheme. See if you can spot a pattern here:
>Crown the Empire
>Crowns & Thieves
>Aversions Crown
>Capture the Crown
>Black Crown Empire
>Bury Tomorrow – The Union of Crowns
>Suicide Silence – The Black Crown
>Salt the Wound - Kill the Crown
bonus points for double verb-the-noun
You're deliberately cherry picking shitty bands to prove your point. You can do that for any genre of music. I still stand by my statement that there is nothing wrong with metalcore and it is very unique for metal
9.5/10
I don't care what anyone says, this album is still fucking amazing.
I like "Rotting In Vain" it reminds me of the Untouchables/Take A Look In The Mirror Korn
Is Defeated $1@/\/\/\/\17Y a perfect band?
Yes.
This was my favorite of my metalcore phase in my late teens
Post dank metal lyrics
Bonus: They are VOCALIZED in an awesome way! Extra special bonus for Fedora Core!
He was said to be saviour, a Son of God
Somehow he failed to save even his own ass
Or was it just a guestion of being a martyr,
An example of justness for the lower class?
I almost got into Northlane and Walking With Strangers when I first started lurking here.
*q
what's this now
youtube.com
Is this the most offensive song of all time? This really offended me tbqh
yo guys, I'm lookin' for an ambient black metal or folk metal something or other but i cant remember the band name. the album covers seem to have a recurring theme of stags heads and woods. typical I know.
halp pls...
the dead gorilla cunt
Mastodon - The Hunter
Agalloch - The Mantle
Comparing church bells to Pavlov's famous behavioural study:
>Hunger for what's not there; eyeless congregation
>Blessed be unto, for their hearts are true
>Submitting to the stimuli; a pure psychic secretion
>For their souls are empty, bleeding out the will of humanity
>Can you hear the tolling of the bell?
>The masses salivate

>song slows down like it's gonna end
>suddenly the drums start blasting and accelerating to a higher tempo than than before
>heroic riff kicks in and carries the song until its actual end
Moar like this ?
Howard Killswitch >> Jesse Killswitch
Well I don't know about that but there's this one Incantation song that starts with a very, very slow volume fade-in. Who the fuck does that.
They will carve you with steel
And scorch you with acid
But it’s not in your nature to die
And though you spring from their flesh
They’ll curdle your blood with unseen energies
But it’s not in your nature to die
Always keep growing and changing
Never stop spreading
IF THERE'S LIFE AFTER DEATH
I'LL RETURN A POWERFUL CREATURE
AND LEAD A REVOLUTION AGAINST MANKIND
I'LL BE THE PREDATOR
AND MAN WILL BECOME THE HUNTED
IM A DEVIL
IM A WITCH
IM A REAL UNHOLY
SON OF A BITCH
>my face when

The true meaning of Metalcore
Teitanblood are ripping me yet another asshole currently. Any bands that have a similar punch??
...
thanks, will listen to this soon
Anyone have a pagan metal chart of good albums and also a viking chart?
post metal for pic related
listen to this mang
...
youtube.com
Cant believe I havent listened to more Leviathan apart from his first and last LP
Well listen to Massive Conspiracy right now
one of the best opening riffs ever
one of the best bm albums ever
i'm still sorta sad ulver will never go back to that style, but at the same time that's what makes them great and unique
their dark ambient/glitch era in the late 90s was GOAT tbf
Listening to Lurker of Chalice atm but ill give that another shot after. I liked the energy and guitar tone/riffs that came with Tentacles of Whorror more than Massive Conspiracy so I rolled with that
I tried repeatedly to get into Scar Sighted but I just couldn't, it never stuck or affected me in anyway
which is a shame, because I really dug Massive Conspiracy
I should probs give True Traitor, True Whore a listen now
TTTW isn't that good, honestly. Give it a try anyways
This riff was memorable to me youtu.be
That and the second half of all tongues toward are my highlights
Id love to read the lyrics to True Traitor, gonna have to listen to that when im pissed
it's a shame that all his other releases sound so lame compared to Massive Conspiracy, the only other Leviathan album i dig is Silhouette In Splinters because it sounds different from the other albums
more like this ?
Got some heavy stuff here youtube.com
youtube.com
there's so much awesome stuff going on scar sighted. it just took me a few listens to pick up on. i'd say that it's easily his most musically diverse album. there are tons of great compositional arrangements. here are some highlights that stood out to me

this whole song
youtube.com
the utter depravity of this entire song (i think this is the most successfully depressing dsbm song to date)
youtube.com
3:54 and onwards here
youtube.com
4:50 and onwards
there are some awesome moments on this thing. i also just love the general arrangement of how the first half is ass-kicking riff city, and then it just devolves into a murky depressive mess for the last half hour
NEW INQUISITION SONG!

what. you still come here? you're better than this man
when did you outgrew black metal ?
>tfw all i've been listening to lately is illegal slams, djent and slipknot
pulling the trigger now
AOTY
now I only listen to mayhem, immortal, and dissection (if we're strictly talking 2nd wave)
That chart is really good, but I would replace Screaming For Vengeance with Stained Class or Sad Wings of Destiny
>12 year old general
ebin
one month away
Honestly, I still thought Late for Nothing was pretty good.
As the other user said: Bölzer
Che'theilist or however they're called
Qrixkuor or however they're called
Howls of Ebb
>Qrixkuor
I still don't understand why people complain that the riffs aren't gripping enough on that album. The riffs sound like they're SUPPOSED to be in a supplemental role. It's the soloing that steals the show.
...
> implying this wasn't a great bm album that people forgot
and what the hell if you don't think behemoth's sventavith was on par with early empyrium
xD
My nigga. Sin After Sin is also a good choice.
But Dimmu and Behemoth are popular! even their old stuff can't be good because of that!
I think all of those albums are mediocre.
This reminds me of my highschool bm band that had just five guitarists, our covers for tiny songs made by mostly me were just pictures of food from the cafeteria that I made black, and shit
First black metal i ever listened was Bathory. So, from the beggining
-here's one with some chicken
/meme/
Does anyone miss the weird black metal wave of the 00's?
It was a fun time.
youtube.com
What other songs use that fucking badass sweepy shit that they do after the first few chords and is there a name to it? I've heard a few other songs do it but can't pull them off the top of my head
