why's that?
Because there isn't any scale with 3 consecutive majors. For example if I were to play in C the Amaj wouldn't work. If I were to play in D the Fmaj wouldn't work because the F in D major is sharped.
I guess you could use G mixolydian but it still would be slightly odd

Theory wise it may be correct but it would still sound like shit without a root note to hold it in place and define the progression
