Elvis in his prime in 1970
Kanye West singing "Mama" after his mother died for real just before the Grammys.
the 3 tenors performing "Nessun Dorma", 1994
a classic
my personal favorite, Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (pulse version)

I know this board doesn't like Queen, but this cannot be denied.
Hendrix Woodstock enuff said.
when it comes to pop/rock, i don't think anything can beat this level of stagemanship. Elvis set the bar, Freddy went over it by a mile

DOMINATION
Muse -Olympic Closing Ceremonies 2012 London.
meant for for some folk rock: Thin Lizzy - Whisky in the Jar (cork,1980)
U2 -Superbowl Halftime Show - 2002
what about Prince at the superbowl?
Pearl Jam - Alive (1992, Pink Pop) youtube.com
from the same festival, 1 year later:
Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the name (Pinkpop, 1993)
holy fuck that was 2002
shit
My favourite parts are the rambling, acid-fuelled monologues.

You can see sato almost crying during the concert....so sad
that whole concert was just absolute madness. trash metal in front of such a big crowd. insane
Beatles rooftop concert
The entire performance in 720P
Does Stop Making Sense count?
everything is welcome as long as it really stands out as a live performance.
Sam & Dave with the Stax House Band showing Norway how to America, 1967.
>jose jose
mi negro
also, another berserk drummer

literally the worst version of this song ever released. they should proud of their nice light show tho.
greatest tenor coming through

Unfortunatly only a recording of a live performance from back in the 50s.
Lynyrd Skynyrd showing why Freebird was their Opus Maximus in 1976. Should perchance you actually be unfamiliar with the song the 2nd part is the best and it really take off a 6:44
Maybe not legendary, but most definitely notorious
>Limp Bizkit - Woodstock 99
youtube.com
>22:00 bout 100 000 people going apeshit
>Violent actions sprang up during and after the Saturday night performance by Limp Bizkit, which included fans tearing plywood from the walls during a performance of the song "Break Stuff." Several sexual assaults were also reported in the aftermath of the concert.
>22:00 bout 100 000 people going apeshit
Always loved this one:

Number Girl's last live song, Omoide In My Head. Very emotional performance and passion from the crowd.
Obvious bait
Don't love them as much as I used to, but I can't deny the talent here. Top of their game in terms of performing.

This
The "One Summer" guitar/drum instrumental that starts at 25:19 was amazing.
perhaps, but it's still true. tempo's way too slow, voices are completely shot and hoarse like tom waits, and it's the most self-gratifying guitar soloing gilmour's ever been guilty of, and that's saying a lot. it's just generally tasteless, soulless, and ugly.
>Elvis in his prime
>any year after 1963
the last few seconds when he looks right in the camera got me good
I started thinking about my own mom goddamn
Elvis's live prime was during the comeback era.
Speaking of musical prime. ZOOTV may seem dated now but in 1991/92 it was the largest and most ambitious production show ever created. The stage had multiple large monitors that broadcast both live footage from the stage and were also capable of broadcasting sat. TV footage. The towers were so tall the FAA required them to have aviation warning beacons on them and they also were equipped with fog generators which are never really shown in the any of the footage. ( I saw them during the ZOOTV performance I attended in Las Vegas). The entire tour is considered legendary by many. The Adelaide performance is in my opinion the closet to what I personally experienced. This is U2 before the hate when they were globally the biggest band in the world.
i think this is when they peaked desu

Elliott had so many fucking great performances.
I can't decide whether my favorite is his set at the Bumbershoot Festival just because holy fuck electric versions of St. Ides' Heaven and Needle In The Hay:
youtube.com
Or one of the first ones he played the year he died just for pure sadness:
youtube.com
Although this one is sad because you can tell he's struggling and still kind of fucked up. At least it's listenable unlike the fucking Chicago 2002 show. That one just hurts to listen to.
10/10, this is what got me into Number Girl
Radiohead's Videotape at Bonnaroo 2006.
Hands-down the best recording of the best Radiohead song
youtube.com
Honestly I would kill to see Radiohead live again but I don't think they'll ever top this show for so many reasons. Fucking legendary
Toe's live shows are always top notch
youtube.com
Also a personal favorite from Cap n Jazz that I think is worth watching

Bumping because:
One time I went to a NIN concert and he didn't talk to the audience. Supposedly some people threw water bottles and beer on stage and broke some equipment. This was in 2008
