Can you think of one song that was popular in 2016?

Can you think of one song that was popular in 2016?

I'm talking Billboard Hot 100 popular

Famous

Hotline Bling

don't think so

uhm
happy by pharrell williams

Starboy

that work from home song
its a pretty cute song

Starboy
No Problem
Closer
Hotline Bling
Panda
24K Magic
Heathens
Cheap Thrills
Broccoli
Black Beatles
One Dance

what's the point of this thread? so you fuckasses can brag about how you're so patrician that you don't even know what's popular right now?

Hotline Bling and Starboy are the only two I can think of.

One is an overrated shit song and the other is the best single of the year.

Wasn't Hotline Bling released in 2015?

jesus christ this place is terrible

That one chainsmokers and halsey collab song

>fuckass
t. homestuck

>abloobloobloo some people have jobs/normie friends >:(
shut the fuck up, god

is that a requirement? I thought OP just meant songs that were radio popular

Panda Panda Panda

>asks question
>get what is asked for
>"jesus christ this place is terrible"

The one with the inaudible black rapper.

oh shit i forgot all about that, that shit was gone as quick as it got popular

Cheap Thrills. My drumming ensemble is doing an arrangement of it

Also the latest song where Halsey talks about a pop song/band from the 90's/early 2000s and brags about having been to both Boulder, Colorado and Tuscon, Arizona

that annoying work song jumps to mind first

Dangerous Woman

PULL THE SHEETS RIGHT OFF THE CORNER
OF THE MATTRESS THAT YOU STOLE
FROM YOUR ROOMMATE BACK IN BOULDER
WE AIN'T EVER GETTING OLDER
WEWEW WEW WEW WEWEW WEW WEW

can you explain why you responded that way? do you disagree that they were popular or what? like can you actually give a reason

WANCE I WUZ SEVUN YEERS OL'

that one Justin Timberlake song that goes DANCE DANCE DANCE

Rihanna - Work

one of the worst things I've ever heard
bad but not really irritating
barely even a song. Before and after the (awful) chorus I think she just mumbles over a drum track
nice melody but the fake dancehall trend is unbearable. Ironically, it would be much better as a Rihanna song.
this grew on me. I think the radio version basically edits out the verses, which is an improvement
I'm sure I've heard it but can't remember anything about it. Same goes for the 21 Pilots song that is supposedly everywhere.

Overall pretty bad year for radio, but there have been worse

Fuck you hoser

Skeleton Tree - nick cage and the seedy seeds seeed dseedyesys

>they know about popular music

Relax y'all.

broccoli was a good single.
Panda was a good single.
24K Magic was a fun hit.
One Dance was catchy for a couple of weeks.
No Problem was the first song I heard after the bar exam and it was fucking PERFECT for that moment.

People here tend to confuse good music with great albums and artists. Let a shitty song by Gucci Mane be fun. Gucci Mane is the popcorn flick, Radiohead is the intense drama film by Scorsese.

yeah there's usually a single that's so big that even people like me who don't play attention to the radio & such end up hearing it sooner or later.

But this year was rather lacking of it's own "Happy", "Thrift Shop", "Uptown Funk", etc. what the fuck?

there's still time for danny brown to make top 100

WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK

Heathens

Heathens or Panda were probably the closest to that, but they certainly didn't have the wholesome appeal, so that's probably why they didn't get "ingrained into the culture for the whole year"-popular

shut up and dance is still the pop song of the century, imo

sis, I'm all for simplicity and cliché, but that song takes it way too far

SHUT UP

AND DANCE

WITH ME
