Please recommend some pop-punk albums that are actually good. I like the one in the pic, Blink-182's self-titled, and i'm starting to get into Copacetic by Knuckle puck.

wow u have trash taste in pop punk desu. knuckle puck is garbage and thats the worst wonder years album
the ergs, dear landlord, the copyrights, gnarwolves, the dopamines, dillinger four (kinda), title fights first 2 albums, joyce manor until never hungover again
I think thats about all the pop punk I have.
>joyce manor until never hungover again
as if anything before that album is worth listening to
I liked their s/t and their demos
to each his own though
self titled bangs cmon now you cant be that miserable of a prick
I listened to copacetic the other day and thought it was an ok album, it's way better than a lot of pop-punk. and it's really about taste that thing about the best album by the wonder years. i like the upsides but i think it's kinda boring at some points, and i could never get into suburbia. also, i'd say that get stoked on it is their worst.
throw bomb the music industry in there too even they aren't totally pop punk either
Wavves- V
Really Fucking good
is it weird that the only wavves album I liked was afraid of heights?
thanks dude, will check out
hey, this album is pretty amazing, i had listened to it before but could never get into it, now i'm 20 minutes in and really enjoying it, thanks.
(but you're still a dick and the greatest generation is still amazing tho)
listen i like the wonder years im not trying to be a dick. just think thats their weakest album. i like NCTH best
Not really into any kind of punk, but I like AFIs early shit.
Definitely check out BTMI, also listen to You're Gonna Miss It All and Holy Ghost by Modern Baseball
oh, okay, we're cool then, sorry about that.
i'd say suburbia or the upsides are weaker, but that's subjective. ncth is a really amazing record, it's my second favorite by them.
i just finished listening to that tigers jaw record and i really liked it, so thanks again
I've listened to btmi before but only liked three of their songs, will check them out again. Yesterday i listened to sports by modern baseball and liked it, so i will check out their other records
Judging by what you've posted so far I suggest you start BTMI with Vacation and work your way back through their discography.
It's all free on the quote unquote records site
listen to the more poppier/punk influenced teen suicide tracks like hayden's getting a ddr pad, lonely goes to a rave, benzo, give me back to the sky, alex, god, pavement, and so on. If you're into it just check out their stuff Run For Cover has put out and dig into their older stuff from there.
Picture not related, huh OP?
The wonder years are a one note band that fucking suck now
Of all things I will soon grow tired is their only good one
OP I bet you'd love this album
This. Most sadboy pop punk is garbage in all honesty. Also I'd say No Closer To Heaven is worse than Greatest Generation.
Title Fight were so good, why the fuck did they turn into lame shoegaze. Also Joyce Manor are fire, I loved their last album.
Wavves isn't really pop punk his stuff is closer to garage rock, despite what Pitchfork tells you.
>In B4 Milo Goes to College
they're actually one of my favorite bands lol i've always preferred their softer songs, but the ones you mentioned are nice too
that's just your opinion, dude. i really like the greatest generation and no closer to heaven
Next you'll ask us to recommend you BrokeNCYDE albums that are good.
i could never get into them, but i'll see if i do if i listen to the full album, thanks.
lol, that's why i named the thread "Pop-punk albums that are actually good", because i know that there are a lot of bands that make pop-punk that are pretty shitty, but i believe that there are some albums in the genre that are actually good.
came here to post this
Shame their newer stuff is so dull
I'm not a fan, but the kids dig it - GOAT broken cyde album

Check these guys out, they're not bad. Soupy is on one of the songs.
Pleb opinion detected
Pic related might be my favourite Tigers Jaw release. Two Worlds is pretty meh except Return and Coil/Recoil though
Life's Not Out To Get You is a great album not a single bad track on it.
My fav songs are
>Can't kick up the roots
>Kali Ma
>The beach is for lovers (not lonely losers)
>I Hope this comes back to haunt you
TGG > Upsides > Suburbia >>> Get Stoked >>> No Closer To Heaven
>mfw no one posts the best pop punk album of all time
Also Brand New - YFW
These are the best in the genre.
That being said, Direct Hit!, The Ergs, alkaline trio, and the descendents are all noteworthy as well. Everything else is pretty shit. Oh and a day to remembers album for those who have heart is solid.
...
Real Friends official discography there the best pop punk band ever
bait
Your Favorite Weapon > Devil & God

Yea brand news first album always has a special place in my mind, maybe it's nostalgia. Great pop punk album.
It's weird. I remember liking the pizza tigers jaw album, but when I heard charmer it really turned me off. Then when I went back to the pizza one I didn't like that one either.
Still my favorite pop punk album.
>tfw title fight went from being the best pop punk band around to a mediocre at best "shoegaze" band
I used to only listen to the pizza album than I saw them live early this year and like half of the set was from charmer and I was really digging it so went back to charmer and now it's competing with the pizza album
Symmetry is GOAt
Seeing a band live usually makes me like them more. I should give them another shot when they come through my town again. I'm the only person I know who likes this stuff that doesn't like tigers jaw.
>ywn go back to 2006 and lose your voice singing along at a title fight show
I miss being 15
Hey fuck you Cody is 8/10
Weezer's first two albums
is there any significant difference between power pop and pop punk?
This and TWY's Suburbia are my favorites.
pop punk has faster drums
dorkrockcorkrod
I'm not really a pop punk guy but i love these guys a lot
This, the more I listen to it the more I dig it.
the first four songs on Set Your Goals - Mutiny! are the peak of pop punk as a whole
Spitalfield, Saves the Day, New Found Glory, Yellowcard all made good stuff
honestly, pop punk is like scrambled eggs or something. easy to make, nigh impossible to fuck up, always at least enjoyable
>Milo Goes to College
I like I don't wanna grow up more, and Buzzcocks are amazing, nice taste user
it is nice
yes. And the Copyrights, Dead to Me, and the Dopamines
menzingers or get the fuck out, fags
you're forgetting Maladriot
that's power pop
...
Any album from The Swellers or early Jimmy Eat World (Clarity/Bleed American).
Can't go wrong with New Found Glory desu
>The Swellers
Seconding this, those guys need more love. Shame they broke up.
The Swellers have been a personal favorite of mine for so long. This Is My Everest is such an underrated Pop-punk album.
can't deny it
fuck yes hyped for new album.
